  • How can I append text to a start and end of a file as header and footer ?

    I'm filling an XML document manually using C# and I need to have <data> as header and </data> as footer for the whole XML file. Is there an easy way to do that ? I know It can be done but I couldn't find a way to do it. Keep in mind that I'm updating the entries so I need to make sure that they always come between the header and the footer. I have achieved this by using the following line of code, HtmlNodeCollection headerNodes = doc.DocumentNode.SelectNodes("//tr[@class='header']"); Now I have all the header rows in the collection. Now I loop through all the header nodes and I want to get the table rows which are adjacent to the respective header rows. foreach (HtmlNode node in headerNodes) { HtmlNodeCollection itemNodes = ??? } My question is that what I should write here so that for header row with text "Random Value 1" I get the item rows 1,2 and 3. Similarly for header row with text "Random Value 2" I get the item row 4,5 and 6 and so on.

  • Is there a Google Chrome extension or userscript that will "bottom-justify" form fields?

    When using Google Chrome, I would like to have a page scroll up so the bottom of form fields are at or above the bottom of the window when I click in the text input to begin entering something. However, if the form height is larger than the window, the top should not be scrolled off automatically. I want to go from: to: An bonus essential feature would be for the input box to automatically be resized in height (but not width) to fill the window. This feature ideally would be configurable: enable/disable and margin above and below. There should be no scrolling or resizing for one-line input boxes. Is there an extension or userscript that does something like this?

  • Is there a SIP provider in the UK which provides the P-Asserted-Identity header?

    In the US, Flowroute (low cost SIP trunking provider) provides P-Asserted-Identity in the SIP invite request header (example screenshots). It also allows you to set the caller ID for outgoing calls, for example by using the follow in extensions.conf for Asterisk: exten => id,n,Set(CALLERID(all)=123) However, in the UK, I've tried a couple of SIP providers and none of them let me do either of those things (see P-Asserted-Identity or set the caller-ID). Is this because of some sort of restriction in the UK phone networks, or is it only available to really expensive SIP trunking providers?

  • jQuery Validate - can I re-validate a group of fields after changing one?

    I'm using jQuery Validate and would like to re-validate a group of fields whenever one of them is changed (or possibly, whenever one of them validates successfully). My attempts so far just create infinite loops. Is this possible, or does the plugin design preclude it? (Specifically, I've got a method that requires at least X of group Y to be filled out, and as soon as that's true, I'd like all those fields to re-validate. Currently I'm clearing out their error messages with my own code, but that's a hack - it also hides unrelated validation problems until the form is re-submitted.)

    Hi, I've been reading on the django docs about the comments framework and how to customize it (http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.1/ref/contrib/comments/custom/) In that page, it shows how to add new fields to a form. But what I want to do is to remove unnecesary fields, like URL, email (amongst other minor mods.) On that same doc page it says the way to go is to extend my custom comments class from BaseCommentAbstractModel, but that's pretty much it, I've come so far and now I'm at a loss. I couldn't find anything on this specific aspect.

    I started to write an application which will read RTP/H.264 video packets from an existing .pcap file, I need to read the packet size. I tried to use packet-len or header-len, but it never displays the right number of bytes for packets (I'm using wireshark to verify packet size - under Length column). How to do it?     In SQL, it is obvious that whenever we want to do a search on millions of record, say CustomerID in a Transactios table, then we want to add an index for CustomerID. Is another situation we want to add an index to a field when we need to do inner join or outer join using that field as a criteria? Such as Inner join on t1.custumerID = t2.customerID. Then if we don't have an index on customerID on both tables, we are looking at O(n^2) because we need to loop through the 2 tables sequentially. If we have index on customerID on both tables, then it becomes O( (log n) ^ 2 ) and it is much faster. Any other situation where we want to add an index to a field in a table? What about adding index for 2 fields combined in a table. That is, one index, for 2 fields together?

  • Entity data field validation and part data submission

    I have an entity class that has 10 fields. I am using MS Validation Application block to mark all fields as mandatory (IsRequired). I am implementing a securiy feature in which during updation of the data, not all the fields in the entity class will have data. For example a few users can only view 5 fileds while others all 10 fields during updation on GUI I have the following options 1) Bring all the data for all the fields from the DB table and hide the ones not accessible to the users in GUI. I am concerned about the performance because everytime GUI will pull unncessary data. 2) Bring the data (e.g. only 5 fields) that are permissible for access/view by the user on GUI. During submit, validation block will throw exception because all fields are marked as IsRequired and only data for 5 fields are sent back to the server. I want to know if there are any other good approaches to solve problems like this. I am using .NET 3.5 Thanks.

  • iPhone SDK: My server doesn't support range header requests, does that mean it's impossible for me t

    I am currently developing an iPhone app, in which involves downloads of up to 300 mb. I have been told by my hosting service that my server does not support range header requests. However, when I download a file from my server using a download client, like safari download manager, resume options are available and work. Does this mean that they have a work around for servers that don't support range header requests and that I could possibly implement into my iPhone app? Or are they using a technique too complex to implement into the iPhone. If you know of a technique code samples will be greatly appreciated.

  • jQuery plugin: Validation can't be customized without setting all fields to 'required'?

    I've spent the day looking at jQuery plugin: Validation by Jörn Zaefferer. I notice that it works fine as long as you call the validate() method without options. In my little squalid world, as soon as I add options, like errorPlacement, I notice that validation ignores form fields that are not marked required. I also notice that many, many demos mark all fields required---or do not pass options. Am I writing about anything familiar here? Or should I astral project to a parallel universe?

    Hello all, I have the simplest code that I want to separate in three files: Header file: class and struct declarations. No implementations at all. Inline functions file: implementation of inline methods in header. Code file: normal C++ code for more complicated implementations. When I was about to implement an operator[] method, I couldn't manage to compile it.
