  • How to jar java source files from different (sub-)directories?

    - by Holger
    Consider the following directory structure: ./source/com/mypackage/../A.java ./extensions/extension1/source/com/mypackage/../T.java ./extensions/extension2/source/com/mypackage/../U.java ... ./extensions/extensionN/source/com/mypackage/../Z.java I want to produce a source jar with the following contents: com/mypackage/../A.java com/mypackage/../T.java com/mypackage/../U.java ... com/mypackage/../Z.java I know I could use a fileset for each source directory. But is there an easy solution using ANT without having to refer to all extensions explicitly?

  • Typical SVN repo structure seems to be sub-optimal for continuous integration...

    - by Dave
    I've set up our SVN repository like the Subversion book suggests, and this is also how my previous companies have done it. It looks something like this: /trunk /branches /tags /extlibs /docs where the first three are pretty obvious, and extlibs is for 3rd party assemblies that we wouldn't typically recompile ourselves. All of this works great for the daily development stuff. Now I've installed TeamCity and have builds, unit tests, code coverage, and code analysis running. Everything is great, except for the fact that this code structure results in too much code getting downloaded. So here's the catch 22, in my opinion: it's silly to download all of aforementioned folders from the SVN repo when I only need /trunk and /extlibs. But I can only specify one repo folder to download in the TeamCity VCS settings. So then the other possibility is to put the /extlibs folder into /trunk, but in order to compile branches, /extlibs would have to go into all of those as well (since I usually branch the trunk, and not individual subfolders... and this would seem infinitely more evil since /extlibs could actually be larger than /trunk and /branches, with all of the binaries stored there... Do you guys have any suggestions for me? Thanks!

  • What is the most efficient way to list all of the files in a directory (including sub-directories)?

    - by prometheus
    I am writing a servlet which will examine a directory on the server (external to the web container), and recursively search for certain files (by certain files, I mean files that are of a certain extension as well as a certain naming convention). Once these files are found, the servlet responds with a long list of all of the found files (including the full path to the files). My problem is that there are so many files and directories that my servlet goes extremely slow. I was wondering if there was a best practice or existing servlet for this type of problem? Would it be more efficient to simply compile the entire list of files and do the filtering via js/jquery on the client side?

  • SEO, IIS 7 and web.config in subfolder issue

    - by tesicg
    We have ASP.NET application that has sub-folder with .aspx pages and separate web.config file in it. The .aspx pages in that sub-folder behave as separate site. In the web.config file at application level, I set the rule that removing trailing slashes: <rewrite> <rules> <rule name="RemoveTrailingSlashRule1" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="(.*)/$" /> <conditions> <add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsDirectory" negate="true" /> <add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsFile" negate="true" /> </conditions> <action type="Redirect" redirectType="Permanent" url="{R:1}" /> </rule> </rules> </rewrite> I expect this rule will propagate downward to sub-folder as well. To access the site in sub-folder we should type: http://concert.local/elki/ and get it without trailing slash as: http://concert.local/elki But, the trailing slash remains. The web.config file in sub-folder looks as following: <configuration> <system.webServer> <defaultDocument> <files> <add value="Sections.aspx" /> </files> </defaultDocument> </system.webServer> </configuration>

  • How to change aif to be able to access 'it' within the macrocall without making 'it' public in the package

    - by Sim
    If you put the aif code presented in onlisp in a package and try to use it in another you run in the problem that packagename:it is not external. (in-package :packagename) (defmacro aif (test-form then-form &optional else-form) ‘(let ((it ,test-form)) (if it ,then-form ,else-form))) wanted call syntax (in-package :otherpackage) (aif (do-stuff) (FORMAT t "~a~%" it) (FORMAT t "just got nil~%")) How can I fix this behavior in code, without making the variable it external in the package declaration and beeing able to access it just by it instead of packagename:it?

  • How to capture a 'sub-section' of a URL in a rewrite rule?

    - by George Edison
    I know the title is a little bit strange, but here is what the URLs look like: /user/xxx/page /user/xxx/page?error=yyy The rule for the first URL looks something like this: RewriteRule ^user/(\d+)/page$ something.pl?id=$1 [L] And to make it work with the second URL, it becomes: RewriteRule ^user/(\d+)/page(error=\d+)?$ something.pl?id=$1 [L] My question is... how do I capture the error number? I tried both of these: RewriteRule ^user/(\d+)/page(error=(\d+))?$ something.pl?id=$1&error=$2 [L] RewriteRule ^user/(\d+)/page(error=(\d+))?$ something.pl?id=$1&error=$3 [L] But it isn't working... How can I do this?

  • How do I count Internal Logical Files (ILF) and External Inputs (EI) for a dynamic form entry page?

    - by DmytroL
    Assuming I have an applicant information entry screen, the number and types of fields on which can be defined by the system administrator, how do I go about counting the number of Internal Logical Files (ILFs) and Data Element Types (DETs) for the related data functions? So far I have come up with something like this: ILF #1 (control information): Field Metadata, 1 RET, ~3 DET (name, type, mandatory) ILF #2 (business data): Applicant Data, most likely 1 RET, but how many DET? Of course I could count it as 2 DET (Field ref, Value), but I am not sure that would be correct And when it comes to an External Input (EI), say, "Add New Applicant", things become even more complicated, because the number of DET corresponding to the user-editable fields is totally dependent on the control information in ILF #1, and I am out of ideas here... Anyone fancy to help with that? Thanks in advance!

  • Is it possible to specify a return type of "Derivative(of T)" for a MustOverride sub in VB.NET?

    - by Casey
    VB.NET 2008 .NET 3.5 I have two base classes that are MustInherit (partial). Let's call one class OrderBase and the other OrderItemBase. A specific type of order and order item would inherit from these classes. Let's call these WebOrder (inherits from OrderBase) and WebOrderItem (inherits from OrderItemBase). Now, in the grand scheme of things WebOrder is a composite class containing a WebOrderItem, like so: Public Class WebOrder Inherits OrderBase Public Property OrderItem() as WebOrderItem End Property End Class Public Class WebOrderItem Inherits OrderItemBase End Class In order to make sure any class that derives from OrderBase has the OrderItem property, I would like to do something like this in the OrderBase class: Public MustInherit Class OrderBase Public MustOverride Property OrderItem() as Derivative(Of OrderItemBase) End Class In other words, I want the derived class to be forced to contain a property that returns a derivative of OrderItemBase. Is this possible, or should I be using an entirely different approach?

  • How can I use a parent content control from a sub binding?

    - by MGSoto
    I have the following code currently: <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type vm:SectionViewModel}"> <ScrollViewer> <ItemsControl ItemsSource="{Binding ViewModels}"> <Grid/> </ItemsControl> </ScrollViewer> </DataTemplate> <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type vm:StringViewModel}"> <Label Name="Left" Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="0" Content="{Binding Label}"/> <TextBox Name="Right" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="1" Text="{Binding Value}"/> </DataTemplate> The ViewModels property bound to SectionViewModel ItemsControl is a list of StringViewModel. I want to insert each StringViewModel into some sort of content control in the ItemsControl. Originally I just had each StringViewModel to make its own Grid, but that left things unaligned. I'd like to insert these items into some sort of content control in ItemsControl, it doesn't necessarily have to be a grid, but it should be within the ItemsControl. How can I do this? I'm also following MVVM, using MVVM Light.

  • database design: table with large amount of columns (50+) or many sub tables with small amount of co

    - by Guillaume
    In our oroject we already have a lots of tables (100+). Some of them contains a lot of columns (50-100) and we are facing the need of adding more columns from time to time. What do you think is best - from maintenance and performance point of view - to split these huge tables in smaller entities or to keep the tables the way they are ? We are using an ORM tools, so we don't need to write custom request.

  • Attribute Address getting displayed instead of Attribute Value

    - by Manish
    I am try to create the following. I want to have one drop down menu. Depending on the option selected in the first drop down menu, options in second drop down menu will be displayed. The options in 2nd drop down menu is supposed by dynamic, i.e., options change with the change of values in first menu. Here, instead of getting the drop down menus, I am getting the following Choose your Option1: Choose your Option2: Note: I strictly don't want to use javascript. home_form.py class HomeForm(forms.Form): def __init__(self, *args, **kwargs): var_filter_con = kwargs.pop('filter_con', None) super(HomeForm, self).__init__(*args, **kwargs) if var_filter_con == '***': var_empty_label = None else: var_empty_label = ' ' self.option2 = forms.ModelChoiceField(queryset = db_option2.objects.filter(option1_id = var_filter_con).order_by("name"), empty_label = var_empty_label, widget = forms.Select(attrs={"onChange":'this.form.submit();'}) ) self.option1 = forms.ModelChoiceField(queryset = db_option1.objects.all().order_by("name"), empty_label=None, widget=forms.Select(attrs={"onChange":'this.form.submit();'}) ) view.py def option_view(request): if request.method == 'POST': form = HomeForm(request.POST) if form.is_valid(): cd = form.cleaned_data if cd.has_key('option1'): f = HomeForm(filter_con = cd.get('option1')) return render_to_response('homepage.html', {'home_form':f,}, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) return render_to_response('invalid_data.html', {'form':form,}, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) else: f = HomeForm(filter_con = '***') return render_to_response('homepage.html', {'home_form':f,}, context_instance=RequestContext(request)) homepage.html <!DOCTYPE HTML> <head> <title>Nivaaran</title> </head> <body> <form method="post" name = 'choose_opt' action=""> {% csrf_token %} Choose your Option1: {{ home_form.option1 }} <br/> Choose your Option2: {{ home_form.option2 }} </form> </body>

  • Updating a Database from DataBound Controls

    - by Avatar_Squadron
    Hi. I'm currently creating a WinForm in VB.NET bound to an access database. Basically what i have are two forms: one is a search form used to search the database, and the other is a details form. You run a search on the searchForm and it returns a list of Primary Keys and a few other identifying values. You then double click on the entry you want to view, and it loads the details form. The Details form has a collection of databound controls to display the data: mostly text boxes and checkboxs. The way i've set it up is i used the UI to build the form and then set the DataBindings Property of each control to "TblPropertiesBindingSource - " where value name is one of the values in the table (such as PropertyID or HasWoodFloor). Then, when you double click an entry in the searchform, I handle the event by parsing the Primary Key (PropertyID) out of the selected row and then storing this to the details form: Note: Detail is the details form that is opened to display the info Private Sub propView_CellDoubleClick(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellEventArgs) Handles propView.CellDoubleClick Dim detail As frmPropertiesDetail = New frmPropertiesDetail detail.id = propView.Rows(e.RowIndex).Cells(0).Value detail.Show() End Sub Then, upon loading the details form, it set's the filter on the BindSource as such: TblPropertiesBindingSource.Filter() = "PropertyID=" & id This works great so far. All the controls on the details form will display the correct info. The problem is updating changes. Scenario: If i have the user load the details for say, property 10001, it will show a description in a textBox named descriptionBox which is identical to the value of the description value of for that entry in the database. I want the user to then be able to change the text of the text box (which they can currently do) and click the save button (saveBut) and have the form update all the values in the controls to the database. Theorectically, it should do this as the controls are DataBound, thus i can avoid writing code that tells each entry in the database row to take the value of the aligned control. I've tried calleding PropertiesTableAdapter.Update(PropertiesBindingSource.DataSource), but that doesnt seem to do it.

  • how to make sub-muens line up below their parents in horizontal navbars?

    - by Joel
    Hi folks. I'm just putting together a simple nav bar using something similar to this tutorial: http://www.cssnewbie.com/horizontal-dropdown-menus/ The thing is, that I'd like to have the children lists first item to line up directly below the parent. Right now, they just go wherever I float them. Is there a way to do this without absolute positioning? I'd like to achieve something similar to what these guys have in their top nav bar: http://michaelfranti.com/

  • why does this knockout method receive a form element instead of the object its nested in?

    - by ladookie
    I have this HTML: <ul class="chat_list" data-bind="foreach: chats"> <li> <div class="chat_response" data-bind="visible: CommentList().length == 0"> <form data-bind="submit: $root.addComment"> <input class="comment_field" placeholder="Comment…" data-bind="value: NewCommentText" /> </form> </div> </li> </ul> and this JavaScript: function ChatListViewModel(chats) { // var self = this; self.chats = ko.observableArray(ko.utils.arrayMap(chats, function (chat) { return { CourseItemDescription: chat.CourseItemDescription, CommentList: ko.observableArray(chat.CommentList), CourseItemID: chat.CourseItemID, UserName: chat.UserName, ChatGroupNumber: chat.ChatGroupNumber, ChatCount: chat.ChatCount, NewCommentText: ko.observable("") }; })); self.newChatText = ko.observable(); self.addComment = function (chat) { var newComment = { CourseItemDescription: chat.NewCommentText(), ParentCourseItemID: chat.CourseItemID, CourseID: $.CourseLogic.dataitem.CourseID, AccountID: $.CourseLogic.dataitem.AccountID, SystemObjectID: $.CourseLogic.dataitem.CommentSystemObjectID, SystemObjectName: "Comments", UserName: chat.UserName }; chat.CommentList.push(newComment); chat.NewCommentText(""); }; } ko.applyBindings(new ChatListViewModel(initialData)); When I go into the debugger it shows that the chat parameter of the addComment() function is a form element instead of a chat object. Why is this happening?

  • How to wait for ajax validation to complete before submitting a form?

    Having a problem where the form submits before the validateUsername function has a chance to complete the username check on the server-side. How do I submit the form only after the validateUsername function completes? Hope this is clear... form.submit(function(){ if (validateUsername() & validateEmail() & validatePassword()) { return true; } else { return false; } }); function validateUsername(){ usernameInfo.addClass("sign_up_drill"); usernameInfo.text("checking..."); var b = username.val(); var filter = /^[a-zA-Z0-9_]+$/; $.post("../username_check.php",{su_username:username.val()},function(data) { if (data=='yes') { username.addClass("error"); usernameInfo.text("sorry, that one's taken"); usernameInfo.addClass("error"); return false; } else if (!filter.test(b)) { username.addClass("error"); usernameInfo.text("no funny characters please"); usernameInfo.addClass("error"); return false; } else { username.removeClass("error"); usernameInfo.text("ok"); usernameInfo.removeClass("error"); return true; } }); }

  • With SQL can you use a sub-query in a WHERE LIKE clause?

    - by Jason
    I'm not even sure how to even phrase this as it sounds weird conceptually, but I'll give it a try. Basically I'm looking for a way to create a query that is essentially a WHERE IN LIKE SELECT statement. As an example, if I wanted to find all user records with a hotmail.com email address, I could do something like: SELECT UserEmail FROM Users WHERE (UserEmail LIKE '%hotmail.com') But what if I wanted to use a subquery as the matching criteria? Something like this: SELECT UserEmail FROM Users WHERE (UserEmail LIKE (SELECT '%'+ Domain FROM Domains)) Is that even possible? If so, what's the right syntax?

  • Can I extends a sub class of Proxy class?

    - by KCBérenger
    I want to create a complete (and real) 2-dimensional array. In order to use a maximum of Adobe code, I want to use ListCollectionView which can manage sort and filters. But to use a second dimension, I need to override getProperty method, like following code. package { import flash.utils.flash_proxy; import mx.collections.ListCollectionView; public class SubClass extends ListCollectionView /* extends Proxy */ { override flash_proxy function getProperty(name : *) : * { ... } override flash_proxy function setProperty(name : *, value : *) : void { ... } } } This code doesn't work. Flash Builder 4 said to me: 1004 Namespace was not found or is not a compile-time constant. If anyone has a solution or a clue...

  • How would I migrate a front page form based site to an IIS7 server? [on hold]

    - by Nick Gilpin
    I have an large html website on a very old server and I'm attempting to move it to a brand new server running IIS7. I've tried moving the entire site to the WWW directory, but then all my forms return "The HTTP verb POST used to access path is not allowed". Additionally, all the solutions I've found online only work on a page by page basis. Is there a simpler/faster way to migrate a large website containing many forms to IIS7? Here is the specific error message: The HTTP verb POST used to access path '/FormServer/Mig/_vti_bin/shtml.dll/admissions/askseaaggie.htm' is not allowed.

  • Parent/Child forms communication issue

    - by user361583
    Hi, I am very new to Visual C++ programming, but I have to write simple program which needs to do two things: ( I am using MS Visual C++ ) main ( parent ) form should be displayed when program starts, and after clicking a button on it, second form should be shown. Second form ( child ) also has a button, but this one should ( after clicking, of course ) show current X,Y child form position but on ( important ): parent form. And this is where i got stuck. I can display child form with: a) adding #include "child.h" in parent form.h b) adding child ^child_form; in public: section and afterwards using: child_form = gcnew child(); child_form-Show(); I was googling for two days now and cannot find a way to get it the other way: click on a button on child_form and display it's coordinates on parent form on label-text :/ when i tried to add #include "child.h" in child_form I just got error saying: "there are to many include files..." I really need to get this done and I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance :)

  • Can I have a type that's both, covariant and contravariant, i.e. fully fungible/changeable with sub

    - by Water Cooler v2
    Just a stupid question. I could try it out in 2 minutes, really. It's just that I have 1 GB RAM and have already got 2 instances of VS 2010 open on my desktop, with an instance of VS 2005, too. Opening another instance of VS 2010 would be an over kill. Can I have a type (for now forgetting its semantics) that can be covariant as well as contravariant? For e.g. public interface Foo<in out T> { void DoFooWith(T arg); } Off to Eric Lippert's blog for the meat and potatoes of variance in C# 4.0 as there's little else anywhere that covers adequate ground on the subject.
