Is there a way to get DVD region code from commandline (linux/ubuntu 9.10)?
I want to script this action and store the region code (and other data about DVD) in a log.
How can I get the session from within a command object?
I have tried:
import org.springframework.security.context.SecurityContextHolder as SCH
class MyCommand {
def session = RCH.currentRequestAttributes().getSession()
}
This throws
java.lang.IllegalStateException: No thread-bound request found: Are you referring to request attributes outside of an actual web request, or processing a request outside of the originally receiving thread? If you are actually operating within a web request and still receive this message, your code is probably running outside of DispatcherServlet/DispatcherPortlet: In this case, use RequestContextListener or RequestContextFilter to expose the current request.
I have a program that uses pthread library to do the matrix multiplication of 500x500 matrix. Each thread calculates 50 rows of the matrix.
When I run tiem command:-
shadyabhi@shadyabhi-desktop:~$ time ./a.out
real 0m0.383s
user 0m0.810s
sys 0m0.000s
shadyabhi@shadyabhi-desktop:~$
How come sys+user is greater than real time?
I like my vim to get itself into command mode as often as possible. I think losing focus would be a good event to make that happen. Everything I found is for saving on lost focus.
I'd like it to auto-return to cmd mode when switching tabs in macvim or when cmd+tabbing to another app.
hi,
I am trying to install SQL server 2008 express on windows 7 64 bit machine using the following command:
Setup.exe /qs /Action=Install /Features=SQL /InstanceName=XXX /SQLSYSADMINACCOUNTS="Builtin\Administrators" /SQLSVCACCOUNT="NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM"
I can not access the database and get "access denied" error. I narrowed down the issue to the /SQLSYSADMINACCOUNTS="Builtin\Administrators" parameter not working. When I change this parameter value to currnet user or try manual install it works
Any idea is appreciated.
Hi,
Trying to execute shell command in background using pythons commands module
>>>import commands
>>>output = commands.getstatusoutput("find / > tmp.txt &")
sh: Syntax error: ";" unexpected
Can anyone explain what is wrong with the syntax ? How should it be executed then ?
Tazim.
I am running a task on the CLI, which prompts me for a yes/no.
After selecting a choice, a vast amount of info scrolls on the screen - including several errors. I want to pipe the output to a file so I can see the errors - but a simple '' is not working since the command expects a keyboar input.
i am running on Ubuntu 9.1
Hi,
I need to get a row based on column value just like querying a database. I have a command output like this,
Name ID Mem VCPUs State
Time(s)
Domain-0 0 15485 16 r-----
1779042.1
prime95-01 512 1
-b---- 61.9
Here I need to list only those rows where state is "r". Something like this,
Domain-0 0 15485 16
r----- 1779042.1
I have tried using "grep" and "awk" but still I am not able to succeed.
Please help me on this issue.
Regards,
Raaj
HI I am a new java programmer (very new).
What I want to do/test is (not sure if its recommendable or doable?), we know that
System.out.println("Message");
will output the "Message" in command prompt. Is it possible to display the current time, without having to repeatly use the system.out.println()?
Name, like instead of displaying:
10:00:01
10:00:02
10:00:03
I wand to have liek this:
10:00:0X where X will continue counting
Lets us consider the following program :
#include <stdlib.h>
int main(int argc, char **argv){
int a,b;
if (argc != 3)
return -1;
a = atoi(argv[1]);
b = atoi(argv[2]);
a = b ? a/b : 0;
return a;
}
The task is to crash the program by providing arguments in command-line.
Is it possible to detect when a long running process started with shell-command crashes, so it can automatically be restarted? Without manually checking its buffer and restarting by hand.
What function in Excel simply takes a string parameter and runs the command? It would work just like the OK button in the Start - Run dialog.
Dim myCommand as String
myCommand = "excel C:\Documents and Settings\JohnDoe\Desktop\test.xls"
Run(myCommand)
i want to write the output of a qshell command to local data area so that it could be globally used by programs.is there some way to write from stdout file to local data area .I want it to be done through CL..its urgent thanks
Is there a way to reconstruct the commandline arguments passed to Java within a Java program, including the JVM options and classpath option?
I have a Java program that needs to restart the JVM and manipulate its bootclasspath (i.e. trying to override some system classes). I use the libc system method to invoke the new JVM.
I'm open for better approaches, but Java agents isn't an option.
Hi I am trying to merge one single revision using CL in SVN using this command:
svn merge -r 5454 URL
but I am getting the following error
svn: Second revision required
My revision is not the latest revision but buried about 90 revisions from the latest update. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?
I forgot the array syntax while on Zsh-commandline:
$ hello=[1,2,3,4] %ERR:
I want to fix the problem by substitution. In Vim, I would do :.s@,@ @g.
So how can I edit the current line, or let call it a current buffer, by running a command on it?
I have some doubt as follows
We are UPDATING a field in SQL and ALTER the row also.After giving the COMMIT command the system is crashed.Wat will happen to the commands given,whether it will UPDATE and ALTER the table r not?
Hi guys,
I am parsing commandline options in Perl using Getopt::Long. I am forced to use prefix - (one dash) for short commands (-s) and -- (double dash) for long commands (ex. --input=file), but problem is, that there is one special option (-r=) so it is long option for its requirement for argument, but it has to have one dash (-) prefix not double dash (--) like other long options. Is possible to setup Getopt::Long to accept these?

I've been working on a small and simple program that i drop files onto and based on certian rules they are moved to diffrent places.
the program works fine unless i drop more than a few files on the program then it kicks back an error (that appears to be more windows than anything) that the start up command c:\myapp.exe \file \file \file is to long
I realize i could set up a background proccess but i really would prefer that this program not run in the backround (where it would be idle 99.999999999% of the time)
Can anyone think of any way around this limitation?
