Is there any way to run one last command before a running Python script is stopped by being killed by some other script, keyboard interrupt etc.
Thanks for your help!
Is there any way to disable keyboard tabStop for a ButtonColumn inside a dataGrid?
I want the buttons there to be only enabled through mouse-clicks, because sometimes the grid can be large and I want that pressing "tabs" will skip the grid and move to the other controls on the page.
Hi All,
I am using autocomplete with scrollbar for my textbox. Autocomplete for touch screen.
I can scroll up and down using the mouse wheel but i want to Use the mouse button to scroll up or down by dragging the scroll bar. if i use mouse button it moves the focus away from the text box field.
Autocomplete is working only when using the keyboard not with the user defined keys.

Hey, i was wondering how to set the focus to a textbox in mobile safari.
I've tried document.myForm.myTextArea.focus(); which works in regular safari, but it does not seem to work in mobile safari.
To clarify, i want to set focus to a text box as soon as the user loads a page, and have the iphone keyboard pop up.
Is there a way to have my app's window receive keyboard and/or mouse events (i.e. user clicking on window's buttons) while still retaining focus to another, unrelated app?
I've tried configuring my window at different levels, including [myWindow setLevel:NSPopUpMenuWindowLevel] to no avail.
How does one react to menuitems that are clicked via mouse or invoked via keyboard, e.g: CMD+Q ?
[NSApp beginSheet:my_sheet ...arguments... ];
/*
The sheet is now shown and the mainmenu isn't usable.
How does one make it usable?
*/
[NSApp endSheet:my_sheet returnCode:0];
I am creating a kiosk application and I want to ensure it is always, no matter what, on top of other Windows applications and the Windows task bar.
I am already blocking Windows keyboard commands (alt-tab, etc) but there are still situations that could cause an application to launch and steal the screen.
Is it possible to hook into Windows from .NET and continually test whether the application has focus and is on top, and if not then give it focus and make it on top?
I'm used to press shift+F7 to switch between my code behind and the designer (which takes between 1 and 5 seconds to load) then I always have to click on View Xaml to modify my XAML code.
I don't find any shortcut in Tools/Options/Keyboard to go directly (from code behind to XAML code). How can I do that ?
In a button click slot, I create and exec() a dialog with a NULL parent. Inside the dialog's constructor, I have:
this->activateWindow();
this->raise();
this->setFocus();
The dialog is application modal and has strong focus. However, it does NOT respond to keyboard events until I click on it. How do I make the dialog get focus without having to click it?
Using the Perl module Net::Telnet, how do you send an arrow key to a telnet session so that it would be the same thing as a user pressing the down key on the keyboard?
use Net::Telnet;
my $t = new Net::Telnet();
my $down_key=?; #How do you send a down key in a telnet session?
t->print($down_key);
Hi,
I'm Having some trouble in a vm that seems to occur only once in a hundred during shutdown/reboot.
To help the debug, I'm thinking to write a script that runs on my desktop, which starts the vm and automate operations for a huge number of times (keyboard key pressed) whithin it. (VirtualBox preferred).
It's just exactly how a script using the expect lib would do with a program in command line.
I'm not sure it's possible, but anyway, if anyone has an idea...
Cheers
So, very often do I wonder what a function does and open up a browser and head to MSDN to check more comprehensive description. Is there a keyboard shortcut I could use to open up the MSDN page of the selected function in the Intellisense dropdown automatically?
I don't know if it's very clear, but i'm trying to do something when the "next" (bottom right corner of the keyboard) is pressed, and i can't find its keycode.
I have tried to look for "next" or "enter" in the keycodes but nothing really relevant...
does anyone know?
(actually, i've found the enter keycode to be precise, but it does not do anything)
I want to get the currently selected item (text, image, etc) and display in my Cocoa app's window when a keyboard shortcut is hit. Droplr has functionality like this, for example. How do I go about doing this?
I would like to listen the slide IN/OUT event of the NOKIA devices(Touch + QWERTY Keyboard) in J2ME App. I need your inputs for the same. Do i need to follow complex implementation or is there any other way around?Will midpjni help?
I installed DDD debugger in Ubuntu and trying to work with it. It looks like DDD UI doesn't work properly with Ubuntu desktop environment. Edit boxes are almost unusable: sometimes they accept keyboard input, most of times input is ignored. Internal resizing panes are not working. Is there some way to get DDD UI working properly?
The same behavior is in Ubuntu 9.10 32 bit, and 10.4 64 bit, so this is not Ubuntu version issue.
My miniproject is based on C. My application written in C accepts a keyboard input as scancodes(for example b=48,n=49...like that)
Can anybody pls let me know,what scancodes are, briefly...
My target is to send keyboard events to external application.
From my application, I'm launching a C# exe (console application) that bring the target application to the front and uses SendKeys.SendWait to send keyboards events. I ran into a rate case were the command don't have any affect.
When debugging it, it works but when running it not in debug it fails.
I think it as something to do with the fact that when debugging my application is the active application.
One consequence of the keyboard-restriction change is that pressing ESC will not exit full-screen mode in trusted applications. This enables you to use the ESC key for other functionality. However, you must provide your own user interface for exiting full-screen mode.
Reference: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee721083(v=VS.95).aspx#fullscreen_support
I need to make pressing ESC will exit from full-screen mode in trusted application without provide a UI control in all pages.
Please give me hints, thank you.
I'm writing a bunch of scripts that present images serially (e.g. 1 per second) and require the user to make either a keyboard or mouse response.
I'm using closures to handle the timing of image presentation and user input. This causes garbage collection to happen pretty frequently and I'm wondering if that will affect the performance (viz. timing of image presentation).
Is there an event which will get whether the user has moved his finger outside of the button?
Kind of like TouchUpOutside except without the "up" bit.
Like how the iphone keyboard, the letter gets smaller (back to normal) as you move your finger of the letter.

Is there a way to make this effect compatible with Screen-reader and keyboard user and even at least accessible if JS disabled (using css hover).
Atleast link should be shown somewhere if JS is disabled.
Hey guys, I have a laptop with a very sensitive touch pad, and wanted to code a small program that could block the mouse input when I was typing a paper or something.
I didn't think it would be hard to do, considering everything I've seen on low-level hooks, but I was wrong (astounding, right?).
I looked at a few examples, but the examples I've seen either block both keyboard and mouse, or just hide the mouse.
Any help with this would be great.
this is simple I know, but i don't have internet access and this netcafes keyboard sucks, so if someone can answer this question please.
what would be the class ? just give me a kick in the right direction. there is simple arraylist object that I want to write and read to/ from file.
thanks
