  • Accessing Custom Configurations in NUnit class

    I'm really banging my head onto this one. I can't make the Custom Configuration to work with NUnit. It kept on failing to read the configuration file. I followed carefully this article: http://devlicio.us/blogs/derik_whittaker/archive/2006/11/13/app-config-and-custom-configuration-sections.aspx placed the references in the Unit test class App.Config, still everything failed. Is there some sort of a magic setting to do here?

  • Delphi: Which are the downsides of having unused units listed in the uses clause?

    I use cnPack Uses cleaner, but in general which are the downsides of having useless units? I know some of them: 1) of course if the unit is never used across the full project there will be useless resource consuption 2) the code insight will give useless results 3) the code insight will be slower But imagine a simple case: I have a project with 2 forms, I use StrUtils in one of them but I declared StrUtils in both of them... Is there any downside in temrs of memory consumption in this case or not?

  • How can I run Gcov over an installed Cocoa application?

    I have a Cocoa application which uses an installer. I want to be able to run code coverage over the code (after it has been installed). This is not the usual unit-test scenario where a single binary will run a suite of tests. Rather, the tests in question will interact with the UI and the app back-end whilst it is running, so I ideally want to be able to start the application knowing that Gcov is profiling it and then run tests against it. Any ideas?

    Has anyone expirience this error before: this happens when I hit CTRL + space , here is the error : For those who has tinyurl blocked: This compilation unit is not on the build path of the java project. This is a maven project, mvn eclipse:eclipse doesn't help I mean it compiles and runs just fine just something is wrong and I can't figure out what. I checkouted this project from SVN, it wasn't developed on my PC.

    It used to be the number one reason for us to choose MSTest from others that we could access and test private methods. Now that Private accessors are deprecated in Visual Studio 2012. Does anyone know why Microsoft make such decision? Is it because it's not a good practice to test private methods? Also, if I still need to unit test my private methods, how could I do that in VS 2012 and later versions?

Weeks ago, Rspec used to migrate the database to the last version automatically when executing 'rake spec', but now it doesn't do it automatically, I have to implement everything for myself. This happens in test environment, because my development data doesn't desappear. Is my fault? I didn't change anything, I think :) Thanks in advance.

    I'm trying to write fully automated unit tests in JavaScript and I'm looking for a way to read some private variables in various JS functions. I thought I recalled a way to inject privileged members into a function/object (and found an overwhelming occurrence of "no such thing as private in JS") and yet I can't find any resources indicating how. I'm trying to read through the properties of .prototype but if there's a way, someone out here would know where to direct me faster than I'd find on my own. Thanks

I was wondering what is the most efficient or easiest way (little code, fairly accurate. doesnt need to be perfect) to detect if something is in your line of sight?     I'm rubbish at Regular Expressions, really! What I'd like is to split a string containing a CCS property value into an array of [string,value,unit]. For example: if I supplied the .split() method with 1px it'd return ["1px",1,"px"]. If I were to supply, similarly, 10% it'd return ["10%",10,"%"]. Can this be done? I appreciate all your help!

Is the second loop faster? I'm asking because the times given by Junit are not too exact, but they give an approximate value

  • Calendar add() vs roll() when do we use it?

    I know add() adds the specified (signed) amount of time to the given time field, based on the calendar's rules. And roll() adds the specified (signed) single unit of time on the given time field without changing larger fields. I can't think of an everyday usage of roll() I would do everything by add(). Can you help me out with examples when do we use roll() and when add()?

  • how to install mono xsp4 and fastcgi-mono-server4

    Quick question - I'm on Debian squeeze, running nginx fine and installed mono fine. Now I want to host a .net4 web application and as I understand it I'll need fastcgi-mono-server4 (and xsp4 when testing it out) - where do I get these packages? I tried apt-get install fastcgi-mono-server4 and same for mono-xsp4-base. When I did apt-get searchpkg mono I couldn't see anything relating to xsp4 or fastcgi server4. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? (sorry for the rushed question) Regards, James

Has anyone any advice?

  • Dell Poweredge 2650 RAM Upgrade

    Hi, I bought an old Dell Poweredge 2650 off ebay to use as a dev server, but I need to get more RAM for it. From what I understand there were 2 versions of the 2650 released, with the older version only supporting PC1600 RAM (200MHz) and the 2nd version supporting PC2400. Unfortunately Dell thought it wasn't necessary to label their servers as such so I can't tell what version I have. Does anyone know if there is a way to tell without buying and testing RAM in the server?

    I've recently set up a fedora 17 server for our network, and I've been having trouble getting the NIS service to work on startup. My guess is that this is causing ypbind to time out when trying to connect. As a knock-on effect the NIS failure is causing problems with NFS which is no longer able to map UIDs properly. This problem doesn't seem to be fixed by actually starting ypbind etc. so I've had to set all my NFS shares to noauto. I have tried manually adding NETWORKDELAY and NETWORKWAIT in /etc/sysconfig/network and also running systemctl enable NetworkManager-wait-online.service as I've seen suggested in some places, but neither of these have had any effect. It is relatively easy to fix manually by restarting ypbind & mounting NFS shares after the network has started up, but it's less than ideal to have to do this every time the server has been rebooted. Does anyone know of an easy (and preferably hack-free) way of delaying the ypbind startup till after the network interface is fully ready?
