I m having a ID column in that table. Now suppose after inserting this record the value of the ID corresponding to this record is 100. Now how this 100 value came to know? Does the previous value of ID ie 99 (Suppose) is stored somewhere in some variable/file in the ORM layer or before inserting this value a query was fired to know about the last inserted value or database is itself doing that or anything else???

How can I follow someone from my non-default account?

In Tweetdeck I have two accounts; a default one and a secondary one. I have them both in separate columns. However, when a person crops up in my non-default account column that I want to follow I can't seem to find a way to follow them from that account. Hovering over the 'Follow' button brings up the tooltip saying 'From {@Account A}' but no way to switch to the other account. Aside from opening up the link in my browser, signing into Twitter from my second account and then finding the user that way, can I do it directly from Tweetdeck?

I've got Netatalk & Avahi running on a local Ubuntu server--I use two different userids, "afp" for Time Machine and "stew" to access my media files etc. In order to mount a shared directory on my server, I have to click "Connect As..." and enter my userid/password every time, because it always tries to log in using Time Machine's userid. I'm not sure if this is because that userid is set as default, or just because it's the last userid that logged in to that server--either way: Is there a way to change the default userid for connecting to a given server? Mega extra credit: I'd love to have this automated, such that my userid, "stew", is always logged in (and heck, it'd be great to have the directories always mounted, too!) whenever the server is available. Why doesn't Default route work using Html.ActionLink in this case?

I have a rather perculiar issue with routing. Coming back to routing after not having to worry about configuration for it for a year, I am using the default route and ignore route for resources: routes.IgnoreRoute("{resource}.axd/{*pathInfo}"); routes.MapRoute( "Default", // Route name "{controller}/{action}/{id}", // URL with parameters new { controller = "Home", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional }); I have a RulesController with an action for Index and Lorem and a Index.aspx, Lorem.aspx in Views Rules directory. I have an ActionLink aimed at Rules/Index on the maseter page: <li><div><%: Html.ActionLink("linkText", "Index", "Rules")%></div></li> The link is being rendered as http://localhost:12345/Rules/ and am getting a 404. When I type Index into the URL the application routes it to the action. When I change the default route action from "Index" to "Lorem", the action link is being rendered as http://localhost:12345/Rules/Index adding the Index as it's no longer on the default route and the application routes to the Index action correctly. I have used Phil Haack's Routing Debugger, but entering the url http://localhost:12345/Rules/ is causing a 404 using that too. I think I've covered all of the rookie mistakes, relevant SO questions and basic RTFMs. I'm assuming that "Rules" isn't any sort of reserved word in routing. Other than updating the Routes and debuugging them, what can I look at?

From the docs: If you change the input value in a validate:error: method, you must ensure that you only change the value if it is invalid or uncoerced. The reason is that, since the object and context are now dirtied, Core Data may validate that key again later. If you keep performing a coercion in a validation method, this can therefore produce an infinite loop. So when I modify a value in a validation method, the context gets dirtied? And the next time I save, the validation happens again - and when I change the value even if the validation is OK, then the context is again dirtied, and revalidated again - and I change the value, and Core Data validates, again, because the context is dirtied. And so on...for ever... is that right? Or did they try to say something different?

How do I change the default browser in lotus notes when opening links in emails?

I can't seem to figure out how to change the default browser for email/sametime links from opening with lotus notes to say chrome/firefox/ie. All links open with a new tab in lotus notes, which always gives scripting errors as it appears to be using ie as it's rendering engine to open up webpages. Is there something in the preferences that I'm missing that I'm not seeing? I've hunted around for awhile and am not seeing an option to change it. I've also tried to change it within the internet options for default applications, but nothing's working. I'm using lotus notes 8 on windows xp if that helps anyone helping me.

Checkbox values to varchar via Spring

I am trying to get a varchar message from a database to display the selected values of a checkbox field in a jsp for patient's medication's dosage frequency. The possible values will be saved in comma-delimited string in the varchar. For most form fields there is simply a one form value to one database field ratio, but in this case, I am needing to merge the values that would come as a string[] into the comma-delimited string and then when retrieving that record for that medication of that patient, display the selected values from the comma-delimited string as selected from the selectableDosageFrequencyList. I have a fresh install of Karmic Koala. In a botched attempt at trying to change my default window manager, I somehow removed at least three applets from the notification area: network manager (nm-applet), volume control (gnome-volume-control-applet), and the battery meter (???). Now if I logout and back in, these applets don't run, but I can start them from the command line. Because it's a fresh install, I completely removed my luser account and home directory. After recreating my account, I was frustrated to find that the applets are still missing and no obvious way to add them back. How can I restore the default configuration?

Hi, I have to develop a code which will store a list of objects, as example below 101, value 11, value 12, value 13 ...etc 102, value 21, value 22, value 23 ...etc 103, value 31, value 32, value 33 ...etc 104, value 41, value 42, value 43 ...etc Now, the difficulty is, that first column is an identifier, and whole table should always be sorted by it. Easy access to each element is required. Additionally, list should be easily updated, and extended by adding element at the end as well as in front and still keep being sorted by first column. Finally, I would like to be able to display values of the above in datagridview. What is most important is a performance of the implementation, as rows will be updated many times per second, and datagridview should be able to display all changes immediately. I was thinking about creating class for the values, and then a Dictionary but encountered a problem with displaying values in gridview. What would be the most optimal way of implementing the code? I'm managing a Server Core machine and trying to do everything in PowerShell, which is fun. I need a list of the default documents. From other websites, I've found out how to set and remove them, using both xxx-WebConfiguration and xxx-WebConfigurationProperty. I've tried: Get-WebConfigurationProperty -Filter /system.webServer/defaultDocument -PSPath "IIS:\sites\Default Web Site" -Name files but it gives: Collection : {Microsoft.IIs.PowerShell.Framework.ConfigurationElement, Microsoft.IIs.PowerShell.Framework.Configuration Element, Microsoft.IIs.PowerShell.Framework.ConfigurationElement, Microsoft.IIs.PowerShell.Framework.Confi gurationElement...} ItemXPath : /system.webServer/defaultDocument Attributes : {} ChildElements : {} ElementTagName : files Methods : Schema : Microsoft.IIs.PowerShell.Framework.ConfigurationElementSchema which doesn't really help.

I do not understand how the DefaultProperty Metadata tag work or what it signifies. I've read the MSDN and went through the sample but I find it confusing. DefaultPropertyAttribute Class I've read a few blogs and they seem to refer to the indexers. I'm not sure why you would want metadata for your properties? I am coming from a Java background, perhaps a Java analogy would help. For example - user JS enable.When user open his first page on my site, i write to session his GMT time and write with this manager JS state. (GMT time is ajax request with js). However, the ResultFontFamily always contains the original value. I was expecting it to have the value the user selected. What am I missing?
