    Hi there, Is there a specific version of .Net that I can target that is bundled with all versions of Windows of XP SP2 and higher? We are trying to create a simple setup stub without having to resort to a low-level C/C++ app... currently something is cooked up in VB6, but there's a fair amount of low-level network code that I would much rather rewrite in .Net -- which would be trivial if only we could rely on the presence of a given version.

    I am running a server on Windows XP SP2 computer . Lets call it computer_1. The ip address of computer is 192.168.1.2 Now I have another computer ( computer_2) on the lan with ip address 192.168.1.3 I want to access the site on computer_1 from computer_2. comupter_2 can ping computer_1 (ping 192.168.1.2 works) But when I type http://192.168.1.2 in the browser of computer_2, nothing happens. I want to access the site on comupter_1 from computer_2 Please help.

    On Windows XP, I ran "configure", and Qt says that I'm configured to use phonon, but I'm not sure how to set up my environment correctly in Qt Creator. According to the Qt documentation, I need to call: Set DXSDK_DIR=C:\Program Files\Microsoft DirectX SDK (February 2007) %DXSDK_DIR%\utilities\bin\dx_setenv.cmd C:\program files\Microsoft Platform SDK\setenv.cmd How do I do this in the Qt Creator IDE?   • Interesting issue with ScriptManager timeout value happens only in win2k machines

    When I set the Asyncpostbacktimeout value to a large value like 3600000000, the scriptmanager throws a timeout exception (it throws the error almost immediately after user action which triggers ajax request, so it is not timing out because the server is not responding). If I reset this value to some sane number like 3600 or even 36000, it works fine. AJAx content is getting updated in the page. This weirdness happens only in windows 2000 machines and does not happen in XP machines Any thoughts ?
