    I have a problem with the CICS connection in my J2EE application. I am trying to install the cicseci.rar for the ECI Resource Adapter through the Admin console in WAS 6.1. The question is why am I receiving the following error while trying to install the cicseci.rar: Errors occurred during installation of the RAR file. Refer to the log files on node Node01 for more information. com.ibm.websphere.management.exception.ConfigServiceException: javax.management.MBeanException: Exception thrown in RequiredModelMBean while trying to invoke operation getResourceAdapterFromRAR Note: I have downloaded the cc03.zip containing fixes for file permissions related to the ECI Resource Adapters.

The issue is that when the redirect handler gets called, it starts an infinite loop of redirection. I tried using an HTTP 302 redirection in place of the JavaScript but that kept failing too. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I saw this similar question but there are no answers.

  • Double title bar issue iPhone app

    I have noticed that whenever a phone call comes in while my app is in use (Or I simulate in-call status bar using the simulator), and the phone call ends, I end up with a double status bar in my app. The status bar goes away if I click any other tab and come back to the original tab (my app has a UITTabBar in it). I have tried so many options that I am losing track now. The most I have read are to set your UIView's size to be flexible in interface builder but nothing seems to work. Please look at the screenshots. I am pasting a default view of the sizing options in interface builder but believe me I have tried every single configuration option there.

  • QWebView not loading external resources

    Hi. I'm working on a kiosk web browser using Qt and PyQt4. QWebView seems to work quite well except for one quirk. If a URL fails to load for any reason, I want to redirect the user to a custom error page. I've done this using the loadFinished() signal to check the result, and change the URL to the custom page if necessary using QWebView.load(). However, any page I attempt to load here fails to pull in external resources like CSS or images. Using QWebView.load() to set the initial page at startup seems to work fine, and clicking any link on the custom error page will result in the destination page loading fine. It's just the error page that doesn't work. I'm really not sure where to go next. I've included the source for an app that will replicate the problem below. It takes a URL as a command line argument - a valid URL will display correctly, a bad URL (eg.   • Best practice for structuring a new large ASP.NET MVC2 plus EF4 VS2010 solution?

    Hi, we are building a new web application using Microsoft ASP.NET MVC2 and Entity Framework 4. Although I am sure there is not one right answer to my question, we are struggling to agree a VS2010 solution structure. The application will use SQL Server 2008 with a possible future Azure cloud version. We are using EF4 with T4 POCOs (model-first) and accessing a number of third-party web-services. We will also be connecting to a number of external messaging systems. UI is based on standard ASP.NET (MVC) with jQuery. In future we may deliver a Silverlight/WPF version - as well as mobile. So put simply, we start with a VS2010 blank solution - then what? I have suggested 4 folders Data (the EF edmx file etc), Domain (entities, repositories), Services (web-services access), Presentation (web ui etc). However under Presentation, creating the ASP.NET MVC2 project obviously creates it's own Models folder etc and it just doesn't seem to fit too well in this proposed structure. I'm also missing a business layer (or does this sit in the domain?). Again I am sure there is no one right way to do it, but I'd really appreciate your views on this. Thanks

  • Bundler doesn't want to install hpricot on Windows XP with Ruby 1.8.7

    Hello I develop on a Windows machine but deploy to Debian. Trying to use hpricot with Rails 3 app. I can get the gem to install using : gem install hpricot --platform=mswin32 But when I do this in the bundle file - it keeps throwing an error (I think it's trying to install the wrong version of hpricot (not windows specific) group :production do gem "hpricot", "0.8.3" end group :development, :test do gem "hpricot", "0.8.3", :platforms => [:mswin, :mingw] end This is from another question here on stackoverflow - but it's not working for me. Any ideas?   • Casting SelectedItem of WPF Combobox to Color causes exception

    I have a combobox databound to the available system colors. When the user selects a color the following code is fired: private void cboFontColour_SelectionChanged(object sender, SelectionChangedEventArgs e) { Color colour = (Color)(cboFontColour.SelectedItem); } This throws a Casting Exception with the following message: "Specified cast is not valid." When I hover over cboFontColour.SelectedItem in the debugger, it is always a Color object. I do not understand why the system seemingly cannot cast from Color to Color, any help would be much obliged.

  • CSS Rollover button bug

    Hi Everyone, I'm trying to create a drop down button and its almost working except one little bug. I have several big buttons that change background color when the user hovers over them and one of them, the language button, displays several suboptions inside itself when the user hovers over it. That all works fine except the language button doesn't change its background color when the user hovers over it. It does change its color if the cursor is just inside the button but not if it touches the 3 sub options. What i need is a technique or a rule that states that the button will change background color if user hovers over it or if the user hovers over one of its children elements. How do I achieve this?   • FullCalendar: Change agendaDay background-color..

    While I have seen this question asked, I haven't seen the answer. Basically, I just want to be able to color the background-color of the TD from a certain range.. Say I have my calendar that has slot minutes every 15 minutes and from 9am to 9pm, I would like to only color differently 10am to 3pm. This information would be coming from a feed but that is not an issue. I haven't found the TDs relating to a set time inside the calendar. Perhaps I missed something? :) I am rather new to jQuery and fullCalendar. Also, another quick question that is unrelated to the main one: is it possible from an event handler to get the id of the calendar that launched it? I have multiple calendars on my page to simulate something like a Gantt view. This will let me be able to fetch the right feed and populate the right events. Thank you for your time.

  • Core Animation not working on Leopard, working on Snow Leopard

    Hi, I animate NSImageViews using its animator proxy. While testing my application on Snow Leopard, everything works as expected. However, on Leopard, none of the animations are functioning. In addition, NSImageViews don't seem to take into effect the alphaValue I set on them, whether through the animator proxy or not. The only way I can get them to disappear is by setting their image to nil. What is weird is that this all works fine in Snow Leopard, but does not work on Leopard 10.5.8. Any idea on why this may be occurring?

    In my iPhone app I have voice recording functionality the utilizes Audio Queue voice recording functions of the SDK. I'm saving directly to CAF format and using the following settings for the AudioStreamBasicDescription reference: audioFormat.mFormatID = kAudioFormatLinearPCM; I can see that there are other format ids I could use like: kAudioFormatLinearPCM kAudioFormatAppleLossless kAudioFormatAppleIMA4 kAudioFormatiLBC kAudioFormatULaw kAudioFormatALaw My knowledge of sound formats is very limited so my question is... which of these should I use to create the lowest compressed audio recording files? Plus, are there other settings I should apply to lower the quality and filesize even further?

  • Update an infopath field with return value from webservice submit?

    Is it possible to update an infopath field with the result of a call to submit to a webservice? We have an infopath form used to create items in the database. I would like to add a read only field for the id (primary key) of the item in the infopath form which is filled when the form is submitted to the webservice by the return value. Is there a way to use the return value as part of a rule with a "Set a field's value" action? I could not find a way to do this with rules gui. Is it possible to do this using c# code? Or am I missing something in the GUI?

  • Rails AtomFeedBuilder Entry :Url option appears in url tag but not in link tag

    Hello, I'm using the AtomFeedHelper and everything is working fine except for one feed where I need to link each entry to a URL which is not the default polymorphic_url for the record. Per the documentation I've specified an :url option for the entry. This correctly renders a <url> tag in the atom node but the <link rel="alternate" still points to the default polymorphic_url. Looking at the source and the documentation I don't understand why this is happening.     I want to be able to find out if an event is hooked up or not. I've looked around, but I've only found solutions that involved modifying the internals of the object that contains the event. I don't want to do this. Here is some test code that I thought would work: // Create a new event handler that takes in the function I want to execute when the event fires EventHandler myEventHandler = new EventHandler(myObject_SomeEvent); // Get "p1" number events that got hooked up to myEventHandler int p1 = myEventHandler.GetInvocationList().Length; // Now actually hook an event up myObject.SomeEvent += m_myEventHandler; // Re check "p2" number of events hooked up to myEventHandler int p2 = myEventHandler.GetInvocationList().Length; Unfort the above is dead wrong. I thought that somehow the "invocationList" in myEventHandler would automatically get updated when I hooked an event to it. But no, this is not the case. The length of this always comes back as one. Is there anyway to determine this from outside the object that contains the event?

  • How to Debug XAML Parsing Errors in Silverlight?

    I run into the following issue semi-regularly: I make changes to XAML or some resources used by it and when I go to load up the Silverlight project in debug mode it only gets as far as the spinning Silverlight-loading animation. I've tried attaching the VS08 debugger to the process but it doesn't do anything at this point (works fine once I'm in the Silverlight but not before.) From previous experience I've noticed this happens when there're problems with the XAML or the resources in it but my only solution so far has been to dissect the code line-by-line until I spot the problem. Is there an easy way to debug/diagnose these situations? UPDATE I found this question with some help, but it still doesn't provide a good way to debug these types of issues.

  • What's a good Minimal Server-Side Javascript Framework?

    So I was writing a web app with web.py that uses plenty of client-side javascript, and my database is on couchdb so the queries are in javascript too, and eventually I just got to thinking, why not skip the python and go all javascript? Besides, some functions need to run once on the client and again on the server to make sure you're not spoofing, so why translate between javascript and python? So I'm looking for a simple lightweight javascript web framework. All I really need is the url routing, request and response stuff (standard wsgi?), and a way to hook into a big http server like nginx. What do you guys recommend?

    I have categories in my static library. Any application developer should set -ObjC flag to "Other Linker Flags" to use my static library properly. It works fine for iPhone device/iPhone Simulator 2.x and iPhone Simulator 3.0. But it crashes for iPhone device 3.0. As written in this article it is new linker bug. They suggest to use one more linker flag: -all_load. But when I add this flag, build fails too, because there are duplicate symbols. How to use categories in static libraries for iPhone device 3.0? I have a few columns that I want seperated by heaps of unimportant ones and then a few more important ones at the end. The problem is that the important ones on the right are way of the screen so its hard to check visually if data has been inputed correctly. Cheers

  • Alternative Menu Items in NSMenu

    Hi, I have an NSMenu that contains NSMenuItems with custom views. I want it so that when the alt button is pressed, the menu items would change part of their look (through their view). I found setAlternative in the NSMenuItem docs, however, in practice I could only get it to work with NSMenuItems without custom views. As soon as I set a custom view, all of the menu items would be displayed. Also, I tried getting keypress events while the menu was open. Due to the other run loop, NSApplication's sendEvent: doesn't receive events until after the menu is closed. Therefore, I can't just intercept the event coming in. Does anyone know how I can get notified, whether through delegation or subclassing, of when the alt key is pressed when a menu is opened?

  • Implementing PageRank using MapReduce

    Hello, I'm trying to get my head around an issue with the theory of implementing the PageRank with MapReduce. I have the following simple scenario with three nodes: A B C. The adjacency matrix is here: A { B, C } B { A } The PageRank for B for example is equal to: (1-d)/N + d ( PR(A) / C(A) ) N = number of incoming links to B PR(A) = PageRank of incoming link A C(A) = number of outgoing links from page A I am fine with all the schematics and how the mapper and reducer would work but I cannot get my head around how at the time of calculation by the reducer, C(A) would be known. How will the reducer, when calculating the PageRank of B by aggregating the incoming links to B will know the number of outgoing links from each page. Does this require a lookup in some external data source?
