  • Maintaining file permissions across SVN updates?

    I have a series of python scripts with execute permissions in Linux. They are stored in SVN. If I then run svn up to update them, the overwritten files are back to 644 - ie no execute permissions for anyone. Yes I could just script it to chmod +x * afterwards, but surely there's a way to store permissions in SVN or to maintain them when you update? Any suggestions appreciated.

    I have a user control called adminMenu and I use it in my index.aspx and all is fine, but I need to access a MenuItem in adminMenu and need to change NavigateUrl on the MenuItem. Tried this code with no luck: MenuItem MaintenanceReports = this.adminMenu.FindItem("MaintenanceReports"); Not sure if I should be accessing adminMenu properties from controls code behind, but when I try from controls code behind was not able to access it either, any ideas would be appreciated.

  • Is there command-line tool to extract typedef, structure, enumeration, variable, function from a C or C++ file?

    I am desiring a command-line tool to extract a definition or declaration (typedef, structure, enumeration, variable, or function) from a C or C++ source file. Also a way to replace an existing definition/declaration would be handy (after transforming the extracted definition by a user-submitted script). Is there such generic tool available, or is some resonably close approximation of such a tool? Scriptability and ability to hook-up with user created scripts or programs is of importance here, although I am academically curious of GUI programs too. Open source solutions for Unix/Linux camp are preferred (although I am curious of Windows and OS X tools too). Primary language interests are C and C++ but more generic solution would be even better (I think we do not need super accurate parsing capabilities for finding, extracting and replacing a definition in a program source file). Sample Use Cases (extra - for the curious mind): Given deeply nested structs and variable (array) initializations of these types, suppose there is a need to change a struct definition by adding or reordering fields or rewriting the variable/array definitions in more readable format without introducing errors resulting from manual labor. This would work by extracting the old initializations, then using a script/program to write the new initializations to replace the old ones. For implementing a code browsing tool - extract a definition. Decorative code generation (e.g. logging function entries / returns). Scripted code structuring (e.g. extract this and that thing and put in different place without change - version control commit comment could document the command to perform this operation to make it evident and verifiable that nothing changed). Note about tags: More accurate tag than code-generation would be code-transformation but it does not exist.

  • jQuery Code Only Fires On Hard Refresh?

    The XFBML version of the Facebook Registration plugin only loads HTTPS. I need it to load HTTP so my form does not call a security error mismatch between domains. I wrote this code to get the SRC and rewrite it with out HTTPS It works fine on the first load, however on Chrome and Safari it only loads the first time and on HARD refreshes. It does not load on standard reloads or by pressing "enter" on the address bar.     I got an error from my code, but I'm not sure where to fix it. Here's the explanation of what my code does: I'm writing some code that will read an input file and store each line as an object (char type) in an array. The first line of the input file is a number. This number tells me how many lines that I should read and store in the array.     I have a Java application that I am considering releasing over the web as an applet. I am concerned about java-savvy end users being able to somehow view the source code, given that my web server would be sending the code to their remote jvm when they try to use the applet. What precautions can be taken to ensure that end users are never able to directly view source code of an applet? I am hoping that release as an applet might somehow protect the privacy of the code more than releasing an application with downloadable jars that the user could just unzip. Is this true?

    I'm aware of the android-x86 project and as far as the end result (bootable live/install iso), I am looking to do the same thing. The difference is, I'm looking to do this with the ice cream sandwich branch from android master repo. Ice cream sandwich adds full support for x86 hardware and even sports a build target specifically for running the OS in virtualbox. So my question is, is anyone aware of any documentation for building and deploying to that target? Just in case it's not clear, I'm not just using the android-x86 project because they haven't yet put up a build for anything later than android 3.

  • NPS wont run or install error code 0x80070643

    attempt to install network policy server failed with error code 0x80070643 fatal error during installation. The sbs server ran an update on friday and since then NPS has not worked, I have checked permissions on system32\IAS and the builtin OU but still cannot run NPS. My last attempt to removed and reinstall has now left the machine unable to install NPS at all! Has anyone seen this or have a direction to suggest? Other google's have shown people haven't resolved it!

Code: 5. access is denied" There is one button: OK. I can click the button, but nothing happens. I have to kill the Timeslips.exe process and re-open the software. In VirtualBox there is an option to choose between pulseaudio and alsa for sound, but it seems to have no effect. I am using virtualbox-3.0 packages, not the ose version. My system is up to date.
