    Hi, This is my jquery code jQuery(document).ready (function() { // post $('.post').bind('mouseenter mouseleave', function() { $(this).filter('.btn').toggleClass('hidden'); }); }); It works great on a normal document. but When I load some HTM: (i.e some divs with .post attributes) using ajax and embed it into my DOM. The above code doesnt work with those divs.

  • Get value from ajax-loaded form before submitting

    Hi, I have an app that loads an ajax form when a button is clicked. I then want to check a value in that ajax loaded form called "comment_content" so that I don't send an ajax request if the comment_content is empty. I can capture the form submission using the live method, however, I can't capture the form element because it needs an element. I was looking at livequery but was wondering if there is a more efficient way by using live or if that I shouldn't even bother?   • WebClient.DownloadString() Not Producing Exact HTML

    So here's the deal. I'm creating a spider bot for a website that scans all the product pages and records the product data. I'm using C# and the WebClient library to download the HTML string. The site I'm crawling must be specially made because the HTML that is received from WebClient.DownloadString() is different than the HTML that I get when I view the source of the HTML when visiting it on a browser. This seems intentional because the only info I can't get is the price. Does anyone know a workaround for this problem or can anyone explain what is happening? Thanks.

Then a bit later on they say: It is important to always be paranoid about security when accepting any user input, and this is also true when binding objects to form input. You should be careful to always HTML encode any user-entered values to avoid HTML and JavaScript injection attacks Huh? MVC is managing the data binding for us. Where/how are you supposed to do the HTML encoding?

    This is not real, it's just a project i'm working on I've created a Hotel Management system in C# WindowsForm, it allows staff members to Add/Edit/Update Rooms,Reservation and Customers etc. Along side this Windows-form i'm creating an ASP.net WebSite where customers should be able to register and reserve rooms online. I've come to the point where i need to create some-type of membership method for this website which should correspond to the membership of the windows form. However i'm not sure what method of membership would be best suited for this, i have looked into the asp.net membership, it's what i want however it creates it's own schema and i don't know how i can relate the information to my customers table and c#windows form. I would ideally like it to resemble a real-life situation as much as possible anyway, am i going about this the wrong way? in terms of the c# windows-form what other technology would a business use to manage a system like this where they can add/edit/update there system and have a website which relates. What are my options here?

    I would like to add some online pages to an application keep them up to date without releasing a new store version. For this I taught I could use jqm ajax navigation to load the external page. (I'm aware that might not be allowed for all platforms.) I have set: $.mobile.allowCrossDomainPages = true; $.mobile.pushStateEnabled = false; This seems to work but the problem is that all my href's and $.mobile.ChangePages would have to be changed to <a href='http://mydomain.com/mypage.html'>link</a> $.mobile.changePage('http://mydomain.com/mypage.html'); in stead of <a href='mypage.html'>link</a> $.mobile.changePage('http://mydomain.com/mypage.html'); I was thinking about overriding the changepage method(found this somewhere) to add a domain when the user is online, but the problem is that this method get's called more then once. var originalChangePage = $.mobile.changePage; $.mobile.changePage = function(to, options) { var o = JSON.stringify(o); try { to = to.replace('file:///android_asset/www/', 'http://mydomain.com/'); } catch (err) { //to isn't always filled in. } originalChangePage(to, options); }; Is there a better way to load html pages locally and online using jqm ajax navigation? For some reason my jQuery is not properly able to read the values from my input elements. What could be wrong? I'd like to float some annotations to the left of a topic using HTML and CSS, for example the 'status' and 'author' annotations shown in the following mockup/image: For semantic reasons, perhaps: I prefer to use CSS instead of a table-based layout In the HTML, the status should appear after the corresponding heading For example: <h1>This is a section title</h1> <div class="status">approved</div> <div class="author">chris</div> <p>This is some text. Lorem ipsum.</p> <p>Lorem ipsum.</p> <h1>Different section title</h1> <div class="status">rejected</div> <p>Lorem ipsum.</p> I'd like the annotations to be after the heading in the HTML, because everything associated with (i.e. the contents of) a topic is usually whatever is after the topic's heading. However I'd like the annotations to be displayed before (to the left of) the heading, as illustrated above. Is this possible? What is the most semantic HTML, and corresponding CSS, that will render as shown above? Would you recommend a table-based layout instead? Even if that means putting the headings in a table cell? It may not be possible; this answer suggests it isn't possible ... but I don't know CSS well enough to say that for sure.

The problem is when i submit this form to the same url that the view render the template, i have to re render the template with previusly data and then show the errors (if they are) in the form with the new renderd data, so i have to re render all the time the previusly information. I've view a lot of examples, but ALL examples have the form in an externar html(separated) How can avoid this ?

  • Formatting a CSV File that contains HTML for Import to Excel

    I would like to export a CSV file from my application for importing into Excel (or any other spreadsheet that supports CSV files). Anyhow, one of the cells in my table have rich content (i.e. HTML) which can, of course, contain commas as well as other HTML characters and formatting. I realize that Excel "can" handle HTML formatted text, but exporting it as CSV tends to screw up the data for importing. Is there some particular way I can format that particular cell so that imports correctly?

  • Stop excel from converting copy-pasted number/text values to date

    I'm copy-pasting some data from html table into excel. But excel automatically converts some text or number values to date! When I change the format, the number is perversed, the number is something like 4112523 (excel probably interprets the cell as date and then converts to number or something like that...) There is a trick for importing CSV files, but is there any solution when you are pasting your data directly from a web browser?

  • Symbols (pdb) for native dll are not loaded due to post build step

    I have a native release dll that is built with symbols. There is a post build step that modifies the dll. The post build step does some compression and probably appends some data. The pdb file is still valid however neither WinDbg nor Visual Studio 2008 will load the symbols for the dll after the post build step. What bits in either the pdb file or the dll do we need to modify to get either WinDbg or Visual Studio to load the symbols when it loads a dump in which our release dll is referenced? Is it filesize that matters? A checksum or hash? A timestamp? Modify the dump? or modify the pdb? modify the dll before it is shipped? (We know the pdb is valid because we are able to use it to manually get symbol names for addresses in dump callstacks that reference the released dll. It's just a total pain in the *ss do it by hand for every address in a callstack in all the threads.)

  • How to prevent shortcuts from firing when form is not active

    I open forms inside tabs of a page control. These forms may contain actions with shortcuts. And I want these shortcuts to be fired only when the tab that contain this form is active. I tried to override form's IsShortCut but it's not called. Form's OnShortCut is not called either. I would like to avoid putting code on each action to check this. I'm using Delphi 2010.

  • Clicking MDI children form doesn't bring it to front

    This is a winform question in .net. In a MDI form, if I open several children forms, for some forms, if they are not activated (if you overlap them with the activate one, they are not up to front. Only the activate form is up to front.), clicking them don't bring them to front. This is even true if I click controls on them, such as a textbox. The textbox gets focus and you can intput things, but that form is still not activated. Interestingly enough, this is not the case for all the children forms I created. Some forms behave correctly but others don't. Did I do something wrong? I think the correct behavior is that, everytime I click a form, bring it up to front. Thank you for any suggestion.

    I'm checking to see if anyone has written an MVC extension for Html.ActionLink that you can pass in Post parameters like such: <% Html.ActionLink("Click me", "Index", "Home", new { MyRouteValue = "123" }, null, new { postParam1 = "a", postParam2 = "b" }); %> That would render the link like normal but having an onClick event that submits an also rendered form with an Action url for the Action, Controller, and Route Values with additional hidden inputs from the Post Parameters like such: <a href="#" onClick="$('#theform').submit(); return false;">Click me</a> <form id="theform" action="/Home/Index/123" method="post"> <input type="hidden" name="postParam1" value="a"> <input type="hidden" name="postParam2" value="b"> </form> I'm looking to redirect users to various pages with potentially a lot of data. Not only from page to page, but from email to page also. This would be highly reusable and I think would clean up a lot of code, and would save a bunch of time writing this if its already floating around out there. I hate recreating the wheel when I don't have to. Thanks!

    Link extractor - since I don't know a better name for it; a utility which can take a .htm file, and give me links from it, not counting and so, just direct links. Useful for files in which you have a number of html links which are in a text and so on ... Anyone knows of some, by any chance ?
