    Hello, I have an update panel which contains a few controls, a Place Holder which is dynamically populated (i don't know if this is what is causing the error) and after the a post is made the server is returning 0|error|500| only that, everything is working fine in my development machine, but something is wrong on server (Windows Server 2008, IIS 7) any thoughts about what's happening or any approach to catch that error on server and view the details of the error. thanks.

  • Can't clone gitosis-admin.git local from my snow leopard server running gitosis

    I've installed gitosis as described here: http://gist.github.com/264304 One of the things that I had to adjust was to give my git user permissions to use ssh (which I did trough server admin - access - ssh and added the 'git' user). When I ssh from my local machine (mac osx) as the git user, I get this response: PTY allocation request failed on channel 0 bash: gitosis-serve: command not found Connection to 10.0.0.108 closed. Which I think is normal, because in Pro GIT the author says you should get something like this if you try ssh'ing to the server using your git user: PTY allocation request failed on channel 0 fatal: unrecognized command 'gitosis-serve schacon@quaternion' Connection to gitserver closed. So far so good, I think? Now when I try to clone my gitosis-admin.git repository using this command: $git clone [email protected]:gitosis-admin.git I get this: Initialized empty Git repository in /Users/joggink/gitosis-admin/.git/ bash: gitosis-serve: command not found fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly So after doing some searching, I found an answer here on serverfault claiming I should use ssh:// as protocol for my git clone (which I thought is the default git protocol?) However, when I try: $git clone ssh://[email protected]:gitosis-admin.git This is the response: The authenticity of host ' (::1)' can't be established.   • Capistrano asks for SSH password when deploying from local machine to server

    When I try to ssh to a server, I'm able to do it as my id_rsa.pub key is added to the authorized keys in the server. Now when I try to deploy my code via Capistrano to the server from my local project folder, the server asks for a password.   • Frequent "Code: 5" errors on Timeslips on Windows Server 2008

    I am having a problem with Timeslips by Sage 2010. Frequently throughout the day as I have Timeslips running an alert Window will open stating: "System error. Code: 5. access is denied" There is one button: OK. I can click the button, but nothing happens. I have to kill the Timeslips.exe process and re-open the software.   • OSX Samba Server

    Hello I have a MacPro that I'm using as a local file server. I mapped a directory on the secondary hard drive of the MacPro as a drive on our local Windows box. It worked fine for about a week and then suddenly stopped working. The windows computer gives the error that it's an invalid username and password however I have checked and double checked to ensure that the user and pass are correct to no avail. Anyone have any ideas on what's going on here?

  • Unable to use "Manage Content and Structure" after removing Project server form the SharePoint farm

    We're no longer using Office Project Server, and I've removed it from the farm in which it was installed. However, now that it's been removed, I am unable to access the "Manage Content and Structure" link on some of our SharePoint sites. I get an error indicating that SharePoint Failed to find the XML file at location '12\Template\Features\PWSCommitments\feature.xml' Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

    I'm trying to install the Perl module Set::IntervalTree on Mac OS X. I recently installed it today on an Ubuntu box with no problem.   • NLB Accessed Denied from second server

    Hello Have NLB set up and working. Just two servers, web1 and web2. I set up NLB on web1 and can view both machines as Converged. (I had to specify a login/pass to connect to web2). On web2, looking at the NLB Manager, it only shows web2 and says in the log "Accessed Denied. Error connecting to web1". Any ideas how to fix?

  • Rosewill RSV-S5 and it's transferespeeds

    I have just bought a Rosewill RSV-S5, I have installed 5x1,5Tb Western Digital Green disks in it. After that have I created a Raid5 on them all with the software that followed with the hardware. Not the raid it self works fine, but it is SLOW, I can only obtain a maximum of 25 MB/s, and if SABnzbd+ is downloading with 5 MB/s is it having a hard time streaming a normal DIVX (700 mb) movie. Is this normal or is there something wrong? Edit: should be able to handle 3 Gbps = 384 megabytes / second Edit 2: As you can see am I only downloading with 3,76 MB/s and I'm trying to watch V s02e08 (720p), but it is completely unwatchable, as I can see 30 sec, and the it buffers for 20 sec. Edit: Other information there might be required I'm running Windows Server 2008 R2, optimized for program performance. Windows is installed on a 60GB SSD. I have a 50 Mb/s internet connection and a 1 Gb/s LAN, all connected with Cat6 Ethernet cables. The MCE is using a Gigabyte EP35C-DS3R motherboard with 2 GB DDR2 ram. Edit 3: I have used chunk sizes for 128 KB Edit 4: I found this on newegg Pros: Enclosure for 5x2TB hard drive is fine. This is basically a rebranded San Digital TR5M-B product. For support Rosewill tells you to contact San Digital. No direct support from Silicon Image for the computer raid card. Cons: Includes computer Silicon Image 3132 raid card, extremely slow raid 5 write (our tests ~10MB/s). Compare to regular internal local drive write 30-60MB/s. We basically dumped the Sil3132 card and replaced with High Point RocketRaid 622 card for extra $69.99. Note for RR622, turn off ECRC (end to end CRC check) for card to work on IBM xserver. What took 12hrs to copy now took 2-3hrs. San Digital realized the problem and has the newer model TR5M-BP TowerRaid Plus that comes with High Point RocketRaid 622 card. Rosewill should discontinue this product and go with TR5M-BP. Could not get Silicon Image raid management software to work with complicated 2008R2 server with 10 NICs, application doesn't know how to talk to localhost port with all those NICs. No updates from Silicon Image and support from San Digital ignored. Gave up on Sil3132 card. Save yourself from a lot of headaches, get the RR622 card too if you are going to buy this product. Other Thoughts: The newer model is TR5M-BP TowerRaid Plus, comes with High Point RocketRaid 622 raid card for the PC instead of Silicon Image Sil3132. According to San Digital, raid 5 performance for Sil3132 read 80MB/s write 19MB/s, and RR622 read 154MB/s write 149MB/s. Our RR622 tests gave (8TB raid 5) write ~80-110MB/s copying 40GB file took 8mins. So I have now ordered a HighPoint RocketRAID 622 2P ext SATA III and hopes that it will solve my problems.

    hey guys, here's a simple scenario NServiceBus Client/Server setup. The "Message" is a custom Class I wrote. The Client sends a request message. The Server receives the message, and the server does this: Bus.Reply(new UserDataResponseMessage { ID = Guid.NewGuid(), Response = users }); Then nothing. The Client never receives a response. Exception: By trawling through the log4net NServiceBus logs I find an exception, and it turns out that my customs class "users" is not marked as Serializable. Ok, how does one got about "throwing" or "handling" that kind of error? NServiceBus seems to promote the idea of not handling errors, but in this scenario its obvious to see some kind of "throw" would have saved a lot of time. How do I handle such exceptions, where do they occur, where do they go?

  • Receiving "MERGE" 200 OK error when committing using trac-post-commit-hook

    When running a commit with the trac-post-commit-hook I receive a MERGE 200 OK error, I understand that this means that the commit has succeeded on the server but the file status has not updated on my local machine. But I can't find anyway to fix this issue. Would this be a problem with my setup or something in the script. I'm using stock standard script from the trac site, I'm committing through tortoiseSVN to VisualSVN Server which is hosted on a windows 2008 server. When I run the script through a command line I receive no errors, I only receive this error through TortoiseSVN.

  • Anybody seen this behavior with Sql Server Reporting Services, a 64bit OS and an Oracle datasource?

    I'm working on a Sql Server Reporting Services solution that queries across both a Sql Server data source and an Oracle 10g data source. My dev box is Windows 7 64bit with Sql Server 2008R2 and I'm hosting IIS7 and SSRS on that system for development; using VS.NET for designing the reports. I have been having errors when running the report where SSRS complains about loading the 32 bit Oracle client in a 64bit process. There a number of threads out there about how to solve that. The thing is, they all come down to making sure you have the 64bit Oracle, client which I do. The weird chain of events I have goes like this: Create initial Oracle datasource and wire up report (it works) Edit Oracle datasource connection (it stops working with BadImageFormatException 32bit/64bit error message) uninstall and reinstall Oracle client (it works) Edit Oracle connection again (it stops working with BadImageFormatException 32bit/64bit error message) So short of reinstalling the client every time I change the connection string I am at a complete loss. Has anybody seen this sort of behavior? And if so what the heck am I doing wrong?

  • Sql Server Backup and move backup file: How to cope with file permissions?

    With our product we have a simple backup tool for the sql server database. This tool should just make a full backup and restore to and from any folder. Of course, the user (usually an administrator) needs permission to write to the target folder. To avoid the problem of not being able to perform a backup to a network drive, I write the backup to a temp file in the Sql Server backup directory. Then I move it to the target folder. This requires permission to delete the temporary file from the sql servers backup folder. Restore is the same in the other direction. This seemed to work fine until someone tested it on vista, where the user does not have write access to the backup folder by default. So there are many solutions to solve this, but none of them seemed to be really nice. One solution would be to find another folder for the temporary file. Both the sql server user as well as the administrator performing the backup need read and write permissions. Is there such a directory? Any other ideas? Thanks a lot.

    So I was writing some code and I noticed that apart from syntactical, type, and other compile-time errors, C++ does not throw any other exceptions. So I decided to test this out with a very trivial program: #include<iostream> int main() { std::count<<5/0<<std::endl; return 1 } When I compiled it using g++, g++ gave me a warning saying I was dividing by 0. But it still compiled the code. Then when I ran it, it printed some really large arbitrary number. When I want to know is, how does C++ deal with exceptions? Integer division by 0 should be a very trivial example of when an exception should be thrown and the program should terminate. Do I have to essentially enclose my entire program in a huge try block and then catch certain exceptions? I know in Python when an exception is thrown, the program will immediately terminate and print out the error. What does C++ do? Are there even runtime exceptions which stop execution and kill the program?

    I have an assignment and am currently caught in one section of what I'm trying to do. Without going in to specific detail here is the basic layout: I'm given a data element, f, that holds four different types inside (each with their own purpose): data F = F Float Int, Int a function: func :: F -> F-> Q Which takes two data elements and (by simple calculations) returns a type that is now an updated version of one of the types in the first f. I now have an entire list of these elements and need to run the given function using one data element and return the type's value (not the data element). My first analysis was to use a foldl function: myfunc :: F -> [F] -> Q myfunc y [] = func y y -- func deals with the same data element calls myfunc y (x:xs) = foldl func y (x:xs) however I keep getting the same error: "Couldn't match expected type 'F' against inferred type 'Q'. In the first argument of 'foldl', namely 'myfunc' In the expression: foldl func y (x:xs) I apologise for such an abstract analysis on my problem but could anyone give me an idea as to what I should do? Should I even use a fold function or is there recursion I'm not thinking about?

    I have a Windows Server which has ~10 IP addresses statically bound. The problem is I don't know how to specify the default IP address. Sometimes when I assign a new address to the NIC, the default IP address changes with the last IP entered in the advanced IP configuration on the NIC. This has the effect (since I use NAT) that the outgoing public IP changes too. Even though this problem is currently on Windows Server 2008, I've had the same problem with a Windows Server 2003. How can you set the default IP address on a NIC when it has multiple IP addresses bound? I remark something.
