    This question already has an answer here: What and When to use Tuple? 5 answers I was looking at examples online of Tuple but I do not see any ideal use of it. Meaning, it seems like a place to store variables. Is there any practical use of Tuple. What I like to do is to pass in a value to the tuple and then have it return back 3 values which are all strings.

    I'm looking for a way to do something similar to a c/c++ #define in adobe flex. I'd like to have lots of different paths a project build can take depending on wither or not something was defined. Does such a thing exist in flex? I know there is ways to set global variables but that wont really suit my purpose. being able to have structures with numerous #ifndefined and such is really what i'm in need of. thanks!

    The regular expression class (rxregexp.dll) that comes with ooRexx (I'm on 4.0.0) is relatively low on function compared, say, with Python's re module (even at 2.5.2). It appears to have no assertions, no facilities for group extraction, or for substitution. Greedy or lazy matching is a global pattern option, rather than flagged by an additional "?". Basically, a pre-PCRE regular expression engine. Does anyone know if anything with more up-to-date function is available?

It works fine with another commands such as pwd or ls. Can anyone help me with that?

    I need to replace several URLs in a text file with some content dependent on the URL itself. Let's say for simplicity it's the first line of the document at the URL. What I'm trying is this: sed "s/^URL=\(.*\)/TITLE=$(curl -s \1 | head -n 1)/" file.txt This doesn't work, since \1 is not set. However, the shell is getting called. Can I somehow push the sed match variables to that subprocess?

It is assigned to a variable but I don't think setting the variables property Hidden after it's been added to the view will work (well it doesn't seem to anyway). But the local variables are a bit wonky. My question is, why wouldn't these be the same? The second call seems to produce a more compact and better aligned stack. Looking at the ASM is unenlightening (at least to me), as the variable addresses are still aliased there. So I guess this is really a question about the assembler itself allocates the stack to local variables. I realise that any specific answer is likely to be platform specific. I'm more interested in a general explanation unless this quirk really is platform specific. For the record though, I'm compiling with VS2010 on a 64bit Intel machine.

I'm asking this question since in AutoIt v3 (interpreted language) it was brought up that having variables with short names like aa instead of veryLongVariableName is much much faster (when program is bigger then 5 liner).
