  • Google Analytics says I'm Getting 50 percent bounce rate on my website ! Help!

    Hi guys, I recently launched my web application and set up google analytics to monitor it. For some weird reason google analytics shows a 49.7 percent bounce rate - I'm quite suprised as to why and how is this possible. My web application works well - I've never been bounced off even once whenever I visit it from any browser. What's going on I have no idea what to look out for here?

    I am loading Google API using google.load() and I need to process some of what is built by it, but I need to run the JavaScript after it has already completely loaded, is there a way to ensure that happens?     Recently, Google updated their search results page. Unfortunately, this broke pretty much every Greasemonkey script used on the results page, including the very useful filter scripts. I use these scripts at work when I encounter a coding problem that (for some reason) hasn't been answered at StackOverflow, and don't want to see sites like experts-exchange. Has anyone found a new script or updated their own to work with Google's new results page?

  • Do not fire 'zoom_changed' event when calling fitBounds function on map

    Is there a way to prevent the zoom_change event from being triggered if it occurs due to fitBounds() ? I am having an issue where I need to do a search on the server from client when there is a zoom change to map but every time I call fitBounds() it causes zoom_change to trigger which causes the client to do another search on the server. I am only interested in zoom_change done by users and not programmatically using fitBounds.

    I've got Chrome running on my Linux netbook, it's great and, unlike the Mac version, the 'Create Application Shortcut' option isn't greyed out. So I created one for Gmail. The 'applications' get stored at ~/.local/share/applications but I haven't managed to launch it yet. If I use Chrome in terminal $ google-chrome ~/.local/share/applications/google-application-reallylong-randomname.thing It opens the file in a new tab in Chrome and helpfully downloads it for me! Anyone got application shortcuts working in Linux?

  • Flex 4: use google APIs in RIA without server side code?

    Just to confirm what I think I understand from reading about use of google APIs in RIAs (FLEX 4 and ActionScript) there is no way to connect to blogger API for example, directly from RIA because of google's crossdomain.xml file, right? So if I want to use their APIs to get some data like content of my mailbox or list of posts on my blog I have to have some code running server side and RIA would just use that code as httpservice to collect data from google? Or maybe I got it completly wrong?
