  • How do I update mysql database when posting form without using hidden inputs?

    I have a "members" table in mysql which has approximately 200 field names. Each user is given up to 7 website templates with 26 different values they can insert unique data into for each template. Each time they create a template, they post the form with the 26 associated values. These 26 field names are the same for each template, but are differentiated by an integer at the end, ie _1, _2, ... _7. In the form submitting the template, I have a variable called $pid_sum which is inserted at the end of each field name to identify which template they are creating. So I am forced to insert approximately 175 hidden input tags with every creation of 26 new values for one of the 7 templates. Is there a PHP function or command that would enable me to update all these values without inserting 175 hidden input tags within each form post?     Hello, in my web page a user fill a form who send information to a MySql database. One of the data inputs sent is a date/time, in the format date('l jS \of F Y h:i:s A'); (I can change the format as needed) So when the user submits the form i wanna check if the actual time/date is 30 seconds more than the sent time/date in order to allow or not the submission of the form. I've think that I had heard that there is a "golden number" that you really dont want to exceed in either columns or rows in a table. - Or is it all about the size of the index and available RAM + CPU on the server?   • How do I create a timed ban on an account? (PHP/mysql)

    I want to create a function that allows me to ban an account for 10days. In the dbc, I have a field called "ban" and Boolean of 1=notban, 0=ban. I also have a field called "date_banned" which is just the timestamp of when the user got banned. My question is how do I create a time frame of 10days from the date the user was banned? ex: James was banned on "2010-05-03 20:43:48". So how can I go about adding 10days to the timestamp? And after 10days, it would set the "ban" equal to 1(which is not banned).
