  • http_post() variables to php script from SMS message but only append data to text file if certain variable (telephone number) equals a known

    - by user1592162
All, I have an SMS gateway application running on my server that passes incoming SMS messages to a php script. That script writes the data to a text file. Certain aspects of the message can be extracted as variables - for example: Message content: $msgdata Sender: $originator Time: $receivedtime etc... Using the script below I can easily write the message to a text file but it will write the data of every SMS that comes in. I only want to write to a text file if the $originator variable is a certain telephone number (e.g 07123456321) $date = date("d.m.Y H:i:s"); $msgdata = $_REQUEST["msgdata"]; $myFile3 = "test.txt"; $fh = fopen($myFile3, 'a') or die("can't open file"); $stringData3 = "$date - $msgdata\n"; fwrite($fh, $stringData3); fclose($fh); Your assistance is bery much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

  • What's the best way to offer javascript embed that won't slow a page down?

    - by Shpigford
I have a chunk of javascript that users can copy and paste to put on their sites. I'm currently using the following code (ala WEDJE) that allows the rest of the page to load even if my script is slow or not responding. <script type="text/javascript"> var number = "987654321"; var key = "123abc"; (function(){ document.write('<div id="ttp"></div>'); s=document.createElement('script'); s.type="text/javascript"; s.src="http://example.com/javascripts/embed.js?" + Math.random(); setTimeout("document.getElementById('ttp').appendChild(s);",1); })() </script> But that method is a few years old and so I wasn't sure if there was a more efficient way of doing the same thing that others have come up with.

  • lucene get matched terms in query

    - by iamrohitbanga
what is the best way to find out which terms in a query matched against a given document returned as a hit in lucene? I have tried a weird method involving hit highlighting package in lucene contrib and also a method that searches for every word in the query against the top most document ("docId: xy AND description: each_word_in_query"). Do not get satisfactory results? hit highlighting does not report some of the words that matched for a document other than the first one. i am not sure if the second approach is the best alternative.

  • What languages allow cross-platform native executables to be created?

    - by JT
I'm frustrated to discover that Java lacks an acceptable solution for creating programs that will run via double-click. Other than .NET for Windows, what modern and high-level programming languages can I write code in that can be compiled for various platforms and run as a native/binary in each (Windows, Linux, OSX (optional)) Assuming I wanted to write code in python, for instance, is there a cohesive way that I could distribute my software which wouldn't require users to do anything special to get it to run? I want to write and distribute software for computer-illiterate and Java has turned out to be a real pain in this respect.

  • Latex label/ref for "fake" external figure

    - by Yannick Wurm
Hello, some journals require each figure to be submitted in a separate document. However, they do want the figure legends to be listed in the main document. I was thus hoping to do something along these lines: \section{Figure Legends} \begin{description} \item[Figure \ref{fig:fireAntBiology}] \label{fig:fireAntBiology} bla bla ants \end{description} This would still permit to \ref the figure from the main text. However, it doesn't work (The \ref returns the number of section "Figure Legends"). The following correctly gives a different number to each "figure": \item[Figure \ref{fig:fireAntBiology}] \begin{figure} \caption{\label{fig:fireAntBiology}} \end{figure} bla bla ants However, it also places empty figure floats throughout the document. A solution should be straightforward. What am I missing? Any ideas? Thanks! yannick

  • Run a SQL Script Against MySQL using Powershell

    - by abarr
I have a Powershell script that backs up my MySQL DB's each night using mysqldump. This all works fine but I would like to extend the script to update a reporting db (db1) from the backup of the prod db (db2). I have written the following test script but it does not work. I have a feeling the problem is the reading of the sql file to the CommandText but I am not sure how to debug. [system.reflection.assembly]::LoadWithPartialName("MySql.Data") $mysql_server = "localhost" $mysql_user = "root" $mysql_password = "password" write-host "Create coonection to db1" # Connect to MySQL database 'db1' $cn = New-Object -TypeName MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlConnection $cn.ConnectionString = "SERVER=$mysql_server;DATABASE=db1;UID=$mysql_user;PWD=$mysql_password" $cn.Open() write-host "Running backup script against db1" # Run Update Script MySQL $cm = New-Object -TypeName MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlCommand $sql = Get-Content C:\db2.sql $cm.Connection = $cn $cm.CommandText = $sql $cm.ExecuteReader() write-host "Closing Connection" $cn.Close() Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Collect DOM elements from external HTML documents

    - by sonofdelphi
    I am trying to write a report-generator to collect user-comments from a list of external HTML files. User-comments are wrapped in < span elements. Can this be done using JavaScript? Here's my attempt: function generateCommentReport() { var files = document.querySelectorAll('td a'); //Files to scan are links in an HTML table var outputWindow = window.open(); //Output browser window for report for(var i = 0; i<files.length; i++){ //Open each file in a browser window win = window.open(); win.location.href = files[i].href; //Scan opened window for 'comment's comments = win.document.getElementsByName('comment'); for(var j=0;j<comments.length;j++){ //Add to output report outputWindow.document.write(comment[i].innerHTML); } } }

  • Does a C++ destructor always or only sometimes call data member destructors?

    - by Magnus
I'm trying to validate my understanding of C++ destructors. I've read many times that C++ supplies a default destructor if I don't write one myself. But does this mean that if I DO write a destructor that the compiler WON'T still provide the default cleanup of stack-allocated class fields? My hunch is that the only sane behavior would be that all class fields are destroyed no matter what, whether I provide my own destructor or not. In which case the statement I've read so many times is actually a little misleading and could be better stated as: "Whether or not you write your own destructor, the C++ compiler always writes a default destructor-like sequence to deallocate the member variables of your class. You may then specify additional deallocations or other tasks as needed by defining your own destructor" Is this correct?

  • Automatically Word-Wrapping Text To A Print Page?

    - by sooprise
I have some code that prints a string, but if the string is say: "Blah blah blah"... and there are no line breaks, the text occupies a single line. I would like to be able to shape the string so it word wraps to the dimensions of the paper. private void PrintIt(){ PrintDocument document = new PrintDocument(); document.PrintPage += (sender, e) => Document_PrintText(e, inputString); document.Print(); } static private void Document_PrintText(PrintPageEventArgs e, string inputString) { e.Graphics.DrawString(inputString, new Font("Courier New", 12), Brushes.Black, 0, 0); } I suppose I could figure out the length of a character, and wrap the text manually, but if there is a built in way to do this, I'd rather do that. Thanks!

  • Rails - Permission denied when try to save uploaded file in windows

    - by logoin
I'm writing my own file upload in rails. I saw some related questions but it doesn't answer my question. I use File.open ("#{RAILS_ROOT}/public/docs/attachments/#{@file_name}", "wb") {|f| f.write(@temp_file.read)} to write the file on my local machine (OS: Windows XP) instead of saving it in database. I got a Permission denied error on the File.open method. Since I have cygwin installed, I chmod 777 the folder that files should write to and also make sure the file I upload can be read. But I'm still getting the same error. Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Controlling LaTeX column flow

    - by hdhermans
What I'm trying to do: I have a page that consists of pairs of two sentences each. The pairs are separated by a whole line break. My problem is that when I have an odd number of pairs, the second sentence will automatically be placed on the next column. How can I use LaTeX to make block structures that multicol does not ignore, to keep the two sentences together? If there's better code to solve this problem, or a better column implementation (though I don't believe I can use \twocolumn in the document declaration), please post it. My current code: \documentclass{article} \usepackage{fullpage} \usepackage{multicol} \setlength{\parindent}{0pt} \setlength{\parskip}{\baselineskip} \newcommand{\pair}[2]{ \emph{#1}\\* #2 } \begin{document} \begin{multicols}{2} \pair{Sentence 1.}{Sentence 2.} \pair{Sentence 2 (pair 2).}{Sentence 2 (pair 2).} \pair{The last pair, first sentence.}{Last sentence.} \end{multicols} \end{document} This generates: http://img541.imageshack.us/img541/3444/columns.png . The second pair is what I am trying to avoid.

  • Is ReaderWriterLockSlim.EnterUpgradeableReadLock() essentially the same as Monitor.Enter()?

    - by Neil Barnwell
So I have a situation where I may have many, many reads and only the occasional write to a resource shared between multiple threads. A long time ago I read about ReaderWriterLock, and have read about ReaderWriterGate which attempts to mitigate the issue where many writes coming in trump reads and hurt performance. However, now I've become aware of ReaderWriterLockSlim... From the docs, I believe that there can only be one thread in "upgradeable mode" at any one time. In a situation where the only access I'm using is EnterUpgradeableReadLock() (which is appropriate for my scenario) then is there much difference to just sticking with lock(){}? Here's the excerpt: A thread that tries to enter upgradeable mode blocks if there is already a thread in upgradeable mode, if there are threads waiting to enter write mode, or if there is a single thread in write mode. Or, does the recursion policy make any difference to this?

  • How should I generate HTML to represent class and its properties?

    - by Mike
Currently I have a class that represents a document. This document needs to be displayed as HTML. I would like to have a method to call such as GetHTML() that would then call GetHTML() on any properties/sections of the document that needed to be rendered. I was initially thinking about using linq and XElement but am wondering if that may cause issues with certain tags in HTML. Would I better off using an HtmlTextWriter? I am open to any suggestions or best practives for this situation. Thanks!

  • cakephp why can't I have an admin route and a superuser route?

    - by Jack B Nimble
In core.php I can define Configure::write('Routing.admin', 'admin'); and /admin/controller/index will work. but if I define both Configure::write('Routing.admin', 'admin'); Configure::write('Routing.superuser', 'superuser'); and try to look at /superuser/blah/index/ instead of it saying the controller doesn't exist it says Error: SuperuserController could not be found. instead of saying Error: BlahController could not be found. When I first read the documentation I was under the impression I could run both routes, and not just one or the other. Is there something more I need to do?

  • C++: Platform independent game lib?

    - by Martijn Courteaux
Hi, I want to write a serious 2D game, and it would be nice if I have a version for Linux and one for Windows (and eventually OSX). Java is fantastic because it is platform independent. But Java is too slow to write a serious game. So, I thought to write it in C++. But C++ isn't very cross-platform friendly. I can find game libraries for Windows and libraries for Linux, but I'm searching one that I can use for both, by recompiling the source on a Windows platform and on a Linux platform. Are there engines for this or is this idea irrelevant? Isn't it that easy (recompiling)? Any advice and information about C++ libraries would be very very very appreciated!

  • javascript - how to call a function newly added from ajax

    - by strike_noir
I have a coding difficulty which have been asked in this forum before: Calling a JavaScript function returned from a Ajax response But I didn't find the answers quite satisfying. To be more precise of the problem I'm dealing, here is the details: I dynamically load a document (HTML and javascript) using jquery var url = 'document.php'; $('#container').load(url); And then I want to call the functions from that document.php. Due to my requirement, I don't want to call the function after the documents' loaded, but rather to call it later when I need it. Because it was dynamically loaded, the DOM doesn't recognize the functions. How to properly call this function? Thank you

  • Visual studio deployment project error when writing to registry

    - by Rekreativc
Hello I have a setup for an application that was recently converted to be a framework 4.0 project (don't know if it's relevant). The setup has to write to registry (Local Machine) and until now this has always worked perfectly, however now it fails to write to registry on a clean machine (running Windows 7, 64 bit). The setup does not fail, does not show a warning of any kind, however it does not write to the registry (I even set AlwaysCreate property to true on every key, just in case) which of course causes the application to terminate on startup. What could be the cause of this? I have never encountered such an error before. Edit: I have tried running the installer as administrator, didn't change anything.

  • link div to input text in firefox

    - by golf_nut
I'm using google maps api to have a map show up on my website where visitors can also find directions. I have a starting point setup and an end point. Both are text areas. The start is empty, but I want the end point to be populated with the address from a div that I already have in the page. I have the javascript as: var address = document.getElementById("address").innerText.replace(/\n/g, " "); It works in Chrome, but Firefox shows the text in the endpoint box as 'undefined.' And Firebug is giving me - document.getElementById("address").innerText is undefined [Break On This Error] var address = document.getElementB...ress").innerText.replace(/\n/g, " "); Any help is appreciated. • ASP.NET 4.0 Route expression builder inside Listview control

    - by Carlos Lone
One of the features of ASP.NET 4.0 is Route Expression builder which allows you to set up hyperlinks like this: <asp:HyperLink runat="server" NavigateUrl="<%$ RouteUrl:RouteName=productos,categoria=Cereales,id=2 %>" >Productos</asp:HyperLink> Now I'm wondering if I can use this sort of syntax inside a ListView Control, I know is possible, but the tricky thing is that I want to genereate de route key value dynamically. So instead to write id=2 I would like to write id=<%# Eval("CategoryID") % . Can I do that?, if so, how should I write it. Thanks for your help!

  • A good architecture is evil? Hardcode forever?

    - by igor
I have worked in many companies. Most of all reached a big success in their field. Some times I found the code was written by owner or co-owner or the first developer of this company. It was strange from architectural point of view code or awful code styled, or hardcoded and so on. I know a couple of startups, that were grown up and were started from the "one night" code. Is it only way to get success to write code in this way? Why does a code written "on knee" but in time is better than delayed well thought-out one? What about future? Which way is the best: to write a good architecture, code and spend some more time at the startup or to write "fast" and hardcoded one that would be completely (partially) throw out (or maybe wouldn't) after some period of time (or never)?
