• Why is my condition onsubmit not returning false?

  After asking a couple of questions I managed to create this form. I didn't have troubles making it return false if the submitted value was 0 but I cannot make it return false when it's the string 'Cambia de ciudad". I'm sure I'm messing with the quotes or something like that.   Django has very good documentation that describes how to write custom database fields and custom template tags and filters. I cannot find the document that describes how to write custom form fields and widgets. Does this document exist? The way I've been able to write custom form fields and widgets is by reading the Django source code and imitating what I see there. I know that there are still things about implementing fields and widgets that I do not completely understand because I have not read any high level document that describes their interfaces.

  I need to write a custom setter method for a field (we'll call it foo) in my subclass of NSManagedObject. foo is defined in the data model and Xcode has autogenerated @property and @dynamic fields in the .h and .m files respectively. If I write my setter like this: - (void)setFoo: (NSObject *)inFoo { [super setFoo: inFoo]; [self updateStuff]; } then I get a compiler warning on the call to super. Alternatively, if I do this: - (void)setFoo: (NSObject *)inFoo { [super setValue: inFoo forKey: inFoo]; [self updateStuff]; } then I end up in an infinite loop. So what's the correct approach to write a custom setter for a subclass of NSManagedObject?

  Response.Write("<div><input type='submit' name='submit' value='Update Cart' /></div>") Response.Write("<div><input type='submit' name='submit' value='Shop More' /></div>") Response.Write("<div><input type='submit' name='submit' value='Checkout' /></div>") that is some example code from my teacher, but he hasn't answered my email in a couple days so I need some help. When you click the Update Cart button it just updates the cart page it's on, but when you click the Shop More button it links to Shop.aspx a different page, and the Checkout links to another page as well. I can't figure out how it is linking just from that code, anybody have any insights?

• Async stream writing in a thread

  I have a thread in which I write to 2 streams. The problem is that the thread is blocked until the first one finishes writing (until all data is transferred on the other side of the pipe), and I don't want that. • Drupal does not recognize my website has been installed

  After a successful Drupal install, I was trying to follow the security recommendations and reverted the settings.php file to 444 permissions (read, read, read). Then, all of a sudden, right after doing that, Drupal does not recognize the installation process was completed. It went back to the install screen. Worst of all. I did chmod back to 666 (write, write, write) but it does not work any more. When I move forward as if I was going to install Drupal again, he tells me he does not have permissions to create the files folder under sites/default... But since the installation has already been completed... the files folder is already there... I am puzzled... Could it be some sort of server caching? Since this is one of my first adventures with a Linux server, I am a bit confused. Any help appreciated... Thanks.

• Hooking a synchronous event handler on a form submit button in JS

  Hi, I'm working on a security project in javascript (something I honestly have not used), and I'm having some trouble with EventListeners. My code looks something like this: function prevclick(evt) { evt.preventDefault(); document.loginform.submitbtn.removeEventListener('click',prevclick,false); var req = new XMLHttpRequest(); req.open("GET","testlog.php?submission=complete",false); req.send(); document.loginform.submitbtn.click(); //tried this and loginform.submit() } document.loginform.submitbtn.addEventListener('click',prevclick,false); But the problem is, the submit button doesn't submit the form on the first click (it does, however, send the http request on the first click), and on the second click of the submit button, it works as normal. I think there is a problem with the synchronization, but I do need to have the request processed before forwarding the user to the next page. Any ideas on this would be great. Thanks in advance.

• Create a Sharepoint page but don't show in breadcrumb

  Hi, I'm struggling to do something which I thought should be straight forward, basically I need to create an aspx page which I now realise must be put into a document library but the problem I have is it's only one page and when the page is displayed the breadcrumb has a link to the document library. We really don't want the users to be able to get to the library via the breadcrumb and just want to show the page. From one of my other questions some other helpful people made some suggestions like putting the file in the _layout directory but this won't work because the new page has a master page associated with it. Any ideas how I can display the custom page but not allow normal users to navigate to the document list? Thanks! Dan

  I'm trying to ask the user for a value of some variable, but at the same time, showing him the last value used (at the termination of the program, the values are saved to a file, and loaded at the start of the program). Something like this: Enter new radius value (R=12.6) : ... user enters 12.7 ... Enter new pi value (pi=3.14) : Enter new height value (h=30.0) : Usually I would write the first one with write statement, then read the new one (in Fortran, for example). In MATLAB however, I don't know how to write something out with input statement. Are there some other statements for getting input ?

  Suppose I have following code in linux: int main() { FILE* f = fopen("file.txt", "w"); fork(); fwrite("A", 1, 1, f); fclose(f); return 0; } What I know about fork from documentation, is that it makes the copy of current process. It copies state of the memory as well, so *f should be equal in both instances. But what happens with system resources, such as a file handle? In this example I open the file with write intentions, so only one instance can write into file, right? Which of the instances will actually write into file? Who should care further about the file handle, and call fclose() ?

  I write a RIA application and my JPA beans must be decoded to push it in Store. My decisions are: Brute Force. If I have property 'aProp' in bean (and getter/setter for it) i create RecordDef, then Record, then Recrod.set('aProp', bean.getAProp()) and so on.. (it is terrible) I can write generator for creating a Factory of Records (it is my desision and i write it). For example: RecordFactory<User> factory = GWT.create(User.class); //User is entity I now that i need a reflection, BUT GWT have no implementation of reflection (some libraries emulates this, but they builds on generators) Exists the best way? Due to my requirement, I don't want to call the function after the documents' loaded, but rather to call it later when I need it.   .saf_search is a button, when it's clicked, the menu .lisearch fades in, when you click anywhere on the page EXCEPT for on the menu .lisearch, then it should fade out(that's how it's SUPPOSED to work) Does anyone know why this isn't working? • $("body").scrollTop() doesn't update in safari

It works great in chrome, but in firefox, the variable scrollfactor, that is suppose to get the current scroll-position, doesn't update. ps, some people have this issue due to lack of correct doctype. I believe i have declared it correctly like this: <!DOCTYPE html>

• Prevent content with child nodes from being deleted in umbraco

  I would like to prevent content nodes from being trashed if they have any children. I assume it is because the delete process moves the child nodes to trash first before dealing with the parent node (which then has no children). Is there another possible solution? Or am I making a simple mistake above?

The PHP script writes the page data to the MySQL database, and outputs a success message that is treated as JavaScript code and executed by the browser. Is there any possibility to do this using greasemonkey and call this function when a existing button is clicked on the web page.
