  • Authlogic openid: getting undefined method openid_identifier? error in functional test

    I use Authlogic with the Authlogic-openid addon (I gem installed ruby- openid and script/plugin install git://github.com/rails/open_id_authentication.git) and get two errors. First when running functional test, I get an undefined method openid_identifier? message on a line in my new.html.erb file when running the UsersControllerTest. The line is: <% if @user.openid_identifier? %> When running script/console I can access this method without any problem. Second when testing the openid functionality and registering a new user to my application using openid and using my blogspot account for that I get the following in my log file: Generated checkid_setup request to http://www.blogger.com/openid-server.g with assocication ... Redirected to http://www.blogger.com/openid-server.g?openid.assoc_handle=... NoMethodError (You have a nil object when you didn't expect it!   • Render a view as a string

    Hi all! I'm wanting to output two different views (one as a string that will be sent as an email), and the other the page displayed to a user. Is this possible in ASP.NET MVC beta? I've tried multiple examples: RenderPartial to String in ASP.NET MVC Beta If I use this example, I receive the "Cannot redirect after HTTP headers have been sent.". MVC Framework: Capturing the output of a view If I use this, I seem to be unable to do a redirectToAction, as it tries to render a view that may not exist. If I do return the view, it is completely messed up and doesn't look right at all. Does anyone have any ideas/solutions to these issues i have, or have any suggestions for better ones? Many thanks!     Hi all, This is hopefully a softball syntax question: I need to call a method with an empty Object array for evaluation and set initial state. In C# I would just do this: func(new Object[]{}); In VB.NET I am forced to do this: Dim ctrls() As Control = {} func(ctrls) Is there a way to shorthand the call in VB.NET and have everything happen in one line of code? P.S. VB-bashing will earn bonus points. ;-)

    Two models (Rails 2.3.8): User; username & disabled properties; User has_one :profile Profile; full_name & hidden properties I am trying to create a named_scope that eliminate the disabled=1 and hidden=1 User-Profiles. The User model is usually used in conjunction with the Profile model, so I attempt to eager-load the Profile model (:include = :profile). I created a named_scope on the User model called 'visible': named_scope :visible, { :joins => "INNER JOIN profiles ON users.id=profiles.user_id", :conditions => ["users.disabled = ? AND profiles.hidden = ?", false, false] } I've noticed that when I use the named_scope in a query, the eager-loading instruction is ignored. This object has been immutable until the introduction of the m_nTurnPlaced member (which can be modified by the SetTurnPlaced method, so now GamePiece becomes mutable). GamePiece is used in an ArrayList, I call contains and remove methods which both rely on the equals method to be implemented. My question is this, is it ok or common practice in Java for some members to not affect equals and hashcode? How will this affect its use in my ArrayList? What type of java Collections would it NOT be safe to use this object now that it is mutable? I've been told that you're not supposed to override equals on mutable objects because it causes some collections to behave "strangely" (I read that somewhere in the java documentation).

  • Does calling a click method effect the HtmlPage object if there is a 404?

    If I call a click method on a HtmlAnchor, and say that page returns a 404, does that mean the HtmlPage will effect, so searching for another link on the page will result in an error because the page's HTML is the error page (assuming the link is NOT on the error page). Can I manually set the page's HTML, and then locate and click on links and continue on from this approach? (other than connecting via a URL)
