  • How do I convert CamelCase into human-readable names in Java?

    - by Frederik
    I'd like to write a method that converts CamelCase into a human-readable name. Here's the test case: public void testSplitCamelCase() { assertEquals("lowercase", splitCamelCase("lowercase")); assertEquals("Class", splitCamelCase("Class")); assertEquals("My Class", splitCamelCase("MyClass")); assertEquals("HTML", splitCamelCase("HTML")); assertEquals("PDF Loader", splitCamelCase("PDFLoader")); assertEquals("A String", splitCamelCase("AString")); assertEquals("Simple XML Parser", splitCamelCase("SimpleXMLParser")); assertEquals("GL 11 Version", splitCamelCase("GL11Version")); }

  • How to extract valid email from larger string in Scala

    - by luigi-prog
    My scala version 2.7.7 Im trying to extract an email adress from a larger string. the string itself follows no format. the code i've got: import scala.util.matching.Regex import scala.util.matching._ val Reg = """\b[A-Z0-9._%+-]+@[A-Z0-9.-]+\.[A-Z]{2,4}\b""".r "yo my name is joe : [email protected]" match { case Reg(e) => println("match: " + e) case _ => println("fail") } the Regex passes in RegExBuilder but does not pass for scala. Also if there is another way to do this without regex that would be fine also. Thanks!

  • Array property in Phing

    - by Jahangir
    I have a phing build file that checks the permission of certain files using the <touch> task. <target description="list of files to check permission" name="files-to-test"> <property name="filesToCheck" value=""/> <php expression="file_get_contents('filesToCheck.txt')" returnProperty="filesToCheck"/> <foreach list="${filesToCheck}" param="file" target="permission-test"/> </target> <target description="Test the permission of files that needs to be written" name="permission-test"> <touch file="${file}"/> </target> It calls an extenal file(filesToCheck.txt) which is just a list of different file locations. This works fine. But it prevents me from reusing the same list in my PHP code when I want to access a particular file based on a certain key from the same external file(filesToCheck.txt). I looked through Phing's documentation but didn't find any array Task. Does anyone know of a work around or is creating a new task the only solution for handling an array property in Phing ?

  • Fastest way to generate delimited string from 1d numpy array

    - by Abiel
    I have a program which needs to turn many large one-dimensional numpy arrays of floats into delimited strings. I am finding this operation quite slow relative to the mathematical operations in my program and am wondering if there is a way to speed it up. For example, consider the following loop, which takes 100,000 random numbers in a numpy array and joins each array into a comma-delimited string. import numpy as np x = np.random.randn(100000) for i in range(100): ",".join(map(str, x)) This loop takes about 20 seconds to complete (total, not each cycle). In contrast, consider that 100 cycles of something like elementwise multiplication (x*x) would take than one 1/10 of a second to complete. Clearly the string join operation creates a large performance bottleneck; in my actual application it will dominate total runtime. This makes me wonder, is there a faster way than ",".join(map(str, x))? Since map() is where almost all the processing time occurs, this comes down to the question of whether there a faster to way convert a very large number of numbers to strings.

  • Rendering a view to a string in ASP.NET MVC 2

    - by Frank Rosario
    We need to render an ActionResult to a string to add pages to our internal search engine index. We settled on this solution to render to string. I've run into a problem with the ExecuteResult call used to process the View. Code Snippet: var oldController = controllerContext.RouteData.Values["controller"]; controllerContext.RouteData.Values["controller"] = typeof(TController).Name.Replace("Controller", ""); viewResult.ExecuteResult(controllerContext); // this line breaks I receive the following error: "Object reference not set to instance of object" error. I've confirmed viewResult is not null, so the exception has to be thrown internally in ExecuteResult. What could we be missing?

  • Strange Ruby String Selection

    - by Daniel
    The string in question (read from a file): if (true) then { _this = createVehicle ["Land_hut10", [6226.8901, 986.091, 4.5776367e-005], [], 0, "CAN_COLLIDE"]; _vehicle_10 = _this; _this setDir -2.109278; }; Retrieved from a large list of similar (all same file) strings via the following: get_stringR(string,"if","};") And the function code: def get_stringR(a,b,c) b = a.index(b) b ||= 0 c = a.rindex(c) c ||= b r = a[b,c] return r end As so far, this works fine, but what I wanted to do is select the array after "createVehicle", the following (I thought) should work. newstring = get_string(myString,"\[","\];") Note get_string is the same as get_stringR, except it uses the first occurrence of the pattern both times, rather then the first and last occurrence. The output should have been: ["Land_hut10", [6226.8901, 986.091, 4.5776367e-005], [], 0, "CAN_COLLIDE"]; Instead it was the below, given via 'puts': ["Land_hut10", [6226.8901, 986.091, 4.5776367e-005], [], 0, "CAN_COLLIDE"]; _vehicle_10 = _this; _this setDir Some 40 characters past the point it should have retrieve, which was very strange... Second note, using both get_string and get_stringR produced the exact same result with the parameters given. I then decided to add the following to my get_string code: b = a.index(b) b ||= 0 c = a.index(c) c ||= b if c 40 then c -= 40 end r = a[b,c] return r And it works as expected (for every 'block' in the file, even though the strings after that array are not identical in any way), but something obviously isn't right :).

  • question/problem regarding assigning an array of char *

    - by Fantastic Fourier
    Hi I'm working with C and I have a question about assigning pointers. struct foo { int _bar; char * _car[MAXINT]; // this is meant to be an array of char * so that it can hold pointers to names of cars } int foofunc (void * arg) { int bar; char * car[MAXINT]; struct foo thing = (struct foo *) arg; bar = arg->_bar; // this works fine car = arg->_car; // this gives compiler errors of incompatible types in assignment } car and _car have same declaration so why am I getting an error about incompatible types? My guess is that it has something to do with them being pointers (because they are pointers to arrays of char *, right?) but I don't see why that is a problem. when i declared char * car; instead of char * car[MAXINT]; it compiles fine. but I don't see how that would be useful to me later when I need to access certain info using index, it would be very annoying to access that info later. in fact, I'm not even sure if I am going about the right way, maybe there is a better way to store a bunch of strings instead of using array of char *?

  • PHP SOAP Windows: maximum string content length quota (8192) has been exceeded while reading XML dat

    - by Sadi
    I am trying to use bing with PHP SOAP. It works fine for short strings. But for larger string I get following error: Fatal error: Uncaught SoapFault exception: [a:DeserializationFailed] The formatter threw an exception while trying to deserialize the message: Error in deserializing body of request message for operation 'Translate'. The maximum string content length quota (8192) has been exceeded while reading XML data. This quota may be increased by changing the MaxStringContentLength property on the XmlDictionaryReaderQuotas object used when creating the XML reader. Line 9, position 227. in ........ I am using XAMPP in windows 7. All the solution I found are for .net not the PHP. PHP has no web.config file as far as I concern. Any idea how can I solve it. Thank you Sadi

  • Strcpy() corrupts the copied string in Solaris but not Linux

    - by strictlyrude27
    Hi all, I'm writing a C code for a class. This class requires that our code compile and run on the school server, which is a sparc solaris machine. I'm running Linux x64. I have this line to parse (THIS IS NOT ACTUAL CODE BUT IS INPUT TO MY PROGRAM): while ( cond1 ){ I need to capture the "while" and the "cond1" into separate strings. I've been using strtok() to do this. In Linux, the following lines: char *cond = NULL; cond = (char *)malloc(sizeof(char)); memset(cond, 0, sizeof(char)); strcpy(cond, strtok(NULL, ": \t\(){")); //already got the "while" out of the line will correctly capture the string "cond1".Running this on the solaris machine, however, gives me the string "cone1". Note that in plenty of other cases within my program, strings are being copied correctly. (For instance, the "while") was captured correctly. Does anyone know what is going on here?

  • printing out prime numbers from array

    - by landscape
    I'd like to print out all prime numbers from an array with method. I can do it with one int but don't know how to return certain numbers from array. Thanks for help! public static boolean isPrime(int [] tab) { boolean prime = true; for (int i = 3; i <= Math.sqrt(tab[i]); i += 2) if (tab[i] % i == 0) { prime = false; break; } for(int i=0; i<tab.length; i++) if (( tab[i]%2 !=0 && prime && tab[i] > 2) || tab[i] == 2) { return true; } else { return false; } //return prime; } thanks both of you. Seems like its solved: public static void isPrime(int[] tab) { for (int i = 0; i < tab.length; i++) { if (isPrimeNum(tab[i])) { System.out.println(tab[i]); } } } public static boolean isPrimeNum(int n) { boolean prime = true; for (long i = 3; i <= Math.sqrt(n); i += 2) { if (n % i == 0) { prime = false; break; } } if ((n % 2 != 0 && prime && n > 2) || n == 2) { return true; } else { return false; } }

  • Mapping a boolean[] PostgreSql column with Hibernate

    - by teabot
    I have a column in a PostgreSql database that is defined with type boolean[]. I wish to map this to a Java entity property using Hibernate 3.3.x. However, I cannot find a suitable Java type that Hibernate is happy to map to. I thought that the java.lang.Boolean[] would be the obvious choice, but Hibernate complains: Caused by: org.hibernate.HibernateException: Wrong column type in schema.table for column mycolumn. Found: _bool, expected: bytea at org.hibernate.mapping.Table.validateColumns(Table.java:284) at org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration.validateSchema(Configuration.java:1130) I have also tried the following property types without success: java.lang.String java.lang.boolean[] java.lang.Byte[] How can I map this column?

  • translate by replacing words inside existing text

    - by Berry Tsakala
    What are common approaches for translating certain words (or expressions) inside a given text, when the text must be reconstructed (with punctuations and everythin.) ? The translation comes from a lookup table, and covers words, collocations, and emoticons like L33t, CUL8R, :-), etc. Simple string search-and-replace is not enough since it can replace part of longer words (cat dog ? caterpillar dogerpillar). Assume the following input: s = "dogbert, started a dilbert dilbertion proces cat-bert :-)" after translation, i should receive something like: result = "anna, started a george dilbertion process cat-bert smiley" I can't simply tokenize, since i loose punctuations and word positions. Regular expressions, works for normal words, but don't catch special expressions like the smiley :-) but it does . re.sub(r'\bword\b','translation',s) ==> translation re.sub(r'\b:-\)\b','smiley',s) ==> :-) for now i'm using the above mentioned regex, and simple replace for the non-alphanumeric words, but it's far from being bulletproof. (p.s. i'm using python)

  • PHP: Replace umlauts with closest 7-bit ASCII equivalent in an UTF-8 string

    - by BlaM
    What I want to do is to remove all accents and umlauts from a string, turning "lärm" into "larm" or "andré" into "andre". What I tried to do was to utf8_decode the string and then use strtr on it, but since my source file is saved as UTF-8 file, I can't enter the ISO-8859-15 characters for all umlauts - the editor inserts the UTF-8 characters. Obviously a solution for this would be to have an include that's an ISO-8859-15 file, but there must be a better way than to have another required include? echo strtr(utf8_decode($input), 'ŠŒŽšœžŸ¥µÀÁÂÃÄÅÆÇÈÉÊËÌÍÎÏÐÑÒÓÔÕÖØÙÚÛÜÝßàáâãäåæçèéêëìíîïðñòóôõöøùúûüýÿ', 'SOZsozYYuAAAAAAACEEEEIIIIDNOOOOOOUUUUYsaaaaaaaceeeeiiiionoooooouuuuyy'); UPDATE: Maybe I was a bit inaccurate with what I try to do: I do not actually want to remove the umlauts, but to replace them with their closest "one character ASCII" aequivalent.

  • Mule Performing a string manipulation

    - by user2910309
    What is the best way to perform a string manipulation. I wish to perform a substring on a email address to extract the domain detail and populate this to a variable. a java transformer is a possibilty, but i was hoping if i could use a message enricher with a expression to perform this operation. pardon me but i am still a greenhorn on Mule. here is the excerpt from my mule flow which is failing with error cannot resolve method string length. <enricher target="#[flowVars['FromAddressDomain']]" doc:name="Message Enricher"> <expression-transformer expression="#[ payload.fromAddr.substring(payload.fromAddr.lastIndexOf('@')+ 1,payload.fromAddr.lenth())]" doc:name="Expression"></expression-transformer> </enricher>

  • Re-assembling the RAID-5 array reboots my CentOS-5 machine

    - by xraminx
    I have 3 HDD's, each divided into 3 partitions. I had created a RAID-1 for boot partition md0 created from sda0, sdb0 and had also created two RAID-5 arrays: md1 created from sda1, sdb1, sdc1 md2 created from sda2, sdb2, sdc2 It used to work fine but one day I had to power off the machine (cold reboot) to get any response from the machine. After that, when the system started booting, it tried for a while to reconstruct the RAID arrays but after a few minutes it crashed silently. I booted the system in linux rescue mode from the DVD and tried to re-assemble the RAID devices manually. I was able to re-assemble md0 and md1 using: mdadm --assemble --scan /dev/md0 mdadm --assemble --scan /dev/md1 But when I try to re-assemble md2 using: mdadm --assemble --scan /dev/md2 the system reboots silently again. How can I fix this problem?

  • How to convert a unicode charactor array back to unicode sequence in C++

    - by eddyxd
    My problem is how to convert a c/c++ string/chractor array to another string contain the unicode(UTF-16) escape sequence of original one for example, I want to find a function F(char *ch) could do following function. char a[10] = "\u5f53"; printf("a = %s\n",a); char b[10]; b = F(a); //<- F is the function I wanted printf("b = %s\n",b); -------- console will show ------- a = ? b = \u5f53 Anyone has any Idea@@?~ thanks!! ps: I tried to guess \u5f35 means the value store in a, but it is not indeed the value of a[0] = -79 , a[1] = 105 ... So I don't know how to convert it back to the sequence of unicode.... Please give me a hane~ : )

  • Validate a string in a table in SQL Server

    - by Ashish Gupta
    I need to check If a column value (string) in SQL server table starts with a small letter and can only contain '_', '-', numbers and alphabets. I know I can use a SQL server CLR function for that. However, I am trying to implement that validation using a scalar UDF and could make very little here...I can use 'NOT LIKE', but I am not sure how to make sure I validate the string irrespective of the order of characters or in other words write a pattern in SQL for this. Am I better off using a SQL CLR function? Any help will be appreciated.. Thanks in advance

  • Declarative JDOQL vs Single-String JDOQL : performance

    - by DrDro
    When querying with JDOQL is there a performance difference between using the declarative version and the Single-String version: Example from the JDOQL doc: //Declarative JDOQL : Query q = pm.newQuery(org.jpox.Person.class, "lastName == \"Jones\" && age < age_limit"); q.declareParameters("double age_limit"); List results = (List)q.execute(20.0); //Single-String JDOQL : Query q = pm.newQuery("SELECT FROM org.jpox.Person WHERE lastName == \"Jones\"" + " && age < :age_limit PARAMETERS double age_limit"); List results = (List)q.execute(20.0); Other then performance, are there any reasons for which one is better to use then the other or is it just about the one with which we feel more comfortable.
