• upgrading from MVC4 to MVC5 pre-Release

  I have made that dreadful error of upgrading from MVC4 to MVC5 pre-release by updating the razor, and mvc webpage in my references I have System.Web.Mvc, System.Web.Webpages, System.Web.Webpages.Razor and System.Web.Razor as version v4.0.30319, when I run my application I get [A]System.Web.WebPages.Razor.Configuration.HostSection cannot be cast to [B]System.Web.WebPages.Razor.Configuration.HostSection.   Hi Friends, I have a Active Directory controller on a Windows 2003 server. My users use Windows, Linux, Mac OS, Novell Operating system on client machines. I need to create a login script which is interoperable on all the client operating systems. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated on how to accomplish this. I was searching for a script which when runs, detects the target OS type and then run the related script to that OS. Any Ideas?

I thought there could be something wrong with my database or the network/firewall, I will check it later, but now I want understand this tricky stack trace.

  So, my iPad program has a pseudo-split view controller (one that I implemented, not base SDK one), and was working correctly a while ago. It has the basic layout (UINavController for master, content view controller for detail on right), but I have it so the master view doesn't disappear when rotated into portrait view. Recently, I added in a UITabBarController to contain the entire split view, which has made the navigation bar go wonky, while all the other views are positioned fine. In addition, the navigation bar only gets mispositioned when the program starts up while the iPad is in landscape, or upside-down portrait. If it starts out in portrait, everything is fine.   I have an app with a tab bar, and nav controllers in each tab. When user shakes the device, a UIImageView appears as a child view in the nav controller. But the UIImageView must contain a special image, depending on the device's current orientation.   I have an index view that lists all of the tags for my Entry and Message models. I would like to only show the tags for Entries in this view. I'm using acts-as-taggable-on. The problem I have is that after the "back" button is pushed and the previous view controller is slid into place, the tableview no longer triggers the didSelectRowAtIndexPath event method. Its almost as if its cached or something. Any tips?

Actually ASP.NET MVC generates this syntax for its urls: /Controller/Action/Id Last week I was trying to encrypt it using SHA-1 Encryption, but this encrypter generates some special symbols like + (plus), / (slash), and other annoying chars which difficult the decryption. Perhaps creating a custom encryption should solve the problem. But I wanna here from you guys, do you have some ideas to protect mvc urls?
