  I am trying to install Pylucene (pylucene-3.3-3-src.tar.gz) on my ubuntu linux 11.10. I have python 2.7.2. I was able to compile JCC (I think) because I didnt see any error when I installed it.   While attempting to do an installation repair of SQL-2008R2, I'm failing the pre-check rules. Module that is failing is AclPermissionsFacet - with this message "The SQL Server registry keys from a prior installation cannot be modified.   Hello. This may be a stupid question but im just starting to learn Rail thats why i am asking thsi question. I have one model called "User" which handles all the users in my community. Now i want to add a guestbook to every user. So i created a model called "user_guestbook" and inserted this into the new model: belongs_to :user and this into the user model: has_one :user_guestbook, :as => :guestbook The next thing i did was to add a new model to handle the posts inside the guestbook. I named it "guestbook_posts" and added this code into the new model: belongs_to :user_guestbook And this into the user_guestbook model: has_many :guestbook_posts, :as => :posts What i wanted to achive was to be able to fetch all the posts to a certain user by: @user = User.find(1) puts @user.guestbook.posts But it doesnt work for me. I dont know what i am doing wrong and if there is any easier way to do this please tell me so. • Firewire hard drive with Leopard install image won't boot from PPC Mac Mini

  I have a Mac Mini (G4 - 1.25 GHz PowerPC) running osx 10.3.9. I want to upgrade it to 10.5 (Leopard). The problem is that I only have a CD and no DVD. After working through all of these issues, I got myself a firewire hard drive and both a 10.4 and 10.5 image that I could image on to the hard drive. I was able to successfully boot off the firewire drive with the 10.4 image. However, I am not able to boot off the firewire drive with the 10.5 image. When trying to boot under the 10.5 image I specify the firewire drive as the startup drive. However, it just boots to the internal (10.3) drive. Any idea why it won't boot to the 10.5 image?

The kernel version is 3.2 and btrfs is enabled. But kernel config options related to Ceph (CONFIG_CEPH_FS and CONFIG_BLK_DEV_RBD) seems to be disabled. I have to make a new kernel and register it to amazon ? Or, does someone know more easy way ?

  I have been having problem installing php-fpm for use with apache2-mpm-worker. This is the guide that I am following. According to the guide's Step 5, Alias /php5-fcgi /usr/lib/cgi-bin/php5-fcgi FastCgiExternalServer /usr/lib/cgi-bin/php5-fcgi -host 127.0.0.1:9000 -pass-header Authorization However I cannot find php5-fcgi at /usr/lib, but only /usr/bin/php5-cgi and /usr/bin/php-cgi, which I am not sure if they are the same.   Posting from my laptop, as my Compaq desktop crashed. Not very computer saavy, and not sure what info I should provide...but here's a start: 9 year old desktop Compaq SR 1650NX, AMD Athlon 3500+ probably 1 gB ram (duh....) Was running 12.04....was attempting to upgrade to 14.04, not sure if I interrupted it. Pretty much stuck on (constantly redirected to) a page which says "GNU Grub version 1.99-2"; it offers several choices (as written): Ubuntu, with Linux 3.2.0-67-generic Ubuntu, with Linux 3.2.0-67-generic (recovery mode) Previous Linux versions Memory Test (memtest86+) Memory Test (memtest86+, serial console 115200) But none of the selections seem to be able to get me anywhere (i.e., I click yes, but can't seem to run any commands - not that I know anything useful); I escape from those pages by repeatedly hitting CTRL-ALT-DEL Any help would be appreciated; will provide additional info when requested. • Please help me understand why my XSL Transform is not transforming

  I'm trying to transform one XML format to another using XSL. Try as I might, I can't seem to get a result. I've hacked away at this for a while now and I've had no success. I'm not even getting any exceptions. I'm going to post the entire code and hopefully someone can help me work out what I've done wrong. I'm aware there are likely to be problems in the xsl I have in terms of selects and matches, but I'm not fussed about that at the moment. The output I'm getting is the input XML without any XML tags. The transformation is simply not occurring.   I'm trying to solve a problem with renaming files over WebDav. Our stack consists of a single machine, serving content through Nginx, Varnish and Apache. When you try to rename a file, the operation fails with the stack that we're currently using. To connect to WebDav, a client program must: Connect over https://host:443 to NginX NginX unwraps and forwards the request to a Varnish server on http://localhost:81 Varnish forwards the request to Apache on http://localhost:82, which offers a session via mod_dav Here's an example of a failed rename: $ cadaver https://webdav.domain/ Authentication required for Webdav on server `webdav.domain': Username: user Password: dav:/> cd sandbox dav:/sandbox/> mkdir test Creating `test': succeeded. dav:/sandbox/> ls Listing collection `/sandbox/': succeeded. • /etc/rc.local not being run on Ubuntu Desktop Install

  I have been trying to get sphinx to run at boot, so I added some lines to /etc/rc.local but nothing happens when I start up. If i run it manually it works however. /etc/init.d/rc.local start works fine as does /etc/rc.local It's listed in the default runlevel and is all executable but it does not work. • Computer wont install Windows Vista or Windows 7

  I had Windows Vista on my computer and wanted to upgrade to Windows 7 and thought that I would format my computer since it had been awhile. When I installed Windows 7 it wouldnt let me it would go through all the installation and then when my computer rebooted it would just be black screen with my mouse, I have tried mulitpule times now, and have just gone backs to Windows Vista, this no longer works and does the same thing as when I tried to insta I have a Nvidia GTX 275 video card, ASUS m2N-E SLI mother board,and a AMD 5200 Dual core processor

It seems the author stopped halfway through his debugging page, so i've no areas to look in other than to triple check my config. Any ideas?

  This is probably a simple question to answer but I just can't figure it out. I have a "Company" class with a many-to-one to "Address" which has a many to one to a composite id in "City". • C#: Regex to extract portions of file name

  I have text files formatted as such: R156484COMP_004A7001_20100104_065119.txt I need to consistently extract the R****COMP, the 004A7001 number, 20100104 (date), and don't care about the 065119 number. the problem is that not ALL of the files being parsed have the exact naming convention. some may be like this: R168166CRIT_156B2075_SU2_20091223_123456.txt or R285476COMP_SU1_125A6025_20100407_123456.txt So how could I use regex instead of split to ensure I am always getting that serial (ex. 004A7001), the date (ex. 20100104), and the R****COMP (or CRIT)??? • VS 11 Beta Cannot start process because a file name has not been provided

  This is what I'm getting when I build my Test project: With this I'm unable to run my tests since they're not being discovered by VS. See the message "Unexpected error detected. Check the Tests Output Pane for details." at the window bottom. Now if you look at the Tests OUTPUT pane you'll have no clue about what's the problem. This is extremely helpful... :) I know VS 11 is in beta but it used to work... I've already restarted VS but it didn't work after that too. Any ideas about what's going on? Would it be a bug somewhere? Note: the only thing I can think is related with VS 2010 uninstall I did sometime ago. Maybe it uninstalled some necessary bits. Beats me...

• Maven Assembly Plugin - install the created assembly

  I have a project that simply consists of files. I want to package those files into a zip and store them in a maven repository. I have the assembly plugin configured to build the zip file and that part works just fine, but I cannot seem to figure out how to install the zip file? Also, if I want to use this assembly in another artifact, how would I do that? I am intending on calling dependency:unpack, but I don't have an artifact in the repository to unpack.   If I have a huge table with ng-grid, and I enabled a checkbox to select all. Is there a way for me to combine this selectAll feature with the filtering box. I mean when I filter out the rows, I want to click the checkbox so that the rows filtered will be all selected; once I clean out filter, those selectedRows are still left so that I can add more rows into it with other filters. • Change EXT3 stride and stripe-width settings post-install on CentOS 5.3

  Is there a way to change the stride and stripe-width options on an ext3 file system under CentOS/RHEL 5.3? There's no way to specify it via anaconda during installation that I saw, and while I see the -E option to tune2fs available under Ubuntu, I don't see it in the manpage on CentOS. I did try to use the -E flag on CentOS and it rejects the flag as unknown if I try to use it. Anyone have any way to do this short of reinstallation?

• Installed ASUS HD4670, now unable to install ANY Debian due to low memory corruption

  I have a desktop PC which initially had the Intel D946gzis mobo, its chipset as video controller, some RAM and so. There I installed Debian without a problem alongside WindowsXP. I've bought an ASUS HD 4670 video card, installed it on the PC and now the installed Debian does not work, while the Ubuntu live CD refuses to run no matter if I set acpi, apic on or off... it throws me some low memory corruption at position just like shown here. With normal configuration, Debian throws kernel panic (keyboard lights blinking). Anyone have faced this before? Ideas? Thanks!! (meanwhile, debian hides in a virtualbox :'( ) Edited: Tried Ubuntu 9.10 x64 (due to the fact i've a core2duo at 2GHz) and it throws a kernel-panic to me (flashing caps and num LEDs). On screen, can be read different lines with things like: ... [ 1.957161] [] rb_erase+0xd6/0x160 [ 1.957266] [] page_fault+0x25/0x30 Could it be something about this new video card having ddr3?
