  • How do I bring a processes window to the foreground on X Windows? (C++)

    I have the PID for the process (and the name), I want to bring it to the front on linux (ubuntu). On mac I would simply do SetFrontProcess(pid), on windows I'd enumerate the windows pick out the one I wanted and call SetWindowPos(hwnd, HWND_TOPMOST, 0, 0, 0, 0, SWP_NOMOVE | SWP_NOSIZE); but I'm at a loss of what to do on linux. I've looked at X Lib a bit, but most/all of those functions seem to operate on windows inside your process. Thanks in advanced.

  • Mocking ISession.Query<T>() for testing consumer

    I'm trying to avoid using an in memory database for testing (though I might have to do this if the following is impossible). I'm using NHibernate 3.0 with LINQ. I'd like to be able to mock session.Query<T>() to return some dummy values but I can't since it's an extension method and these are pretty much impossible to test. Does anyone have any suggestions (other than using an in memory database) for testing session queries with LINQ?

My problem is that I like to learn things with something to do (for example contributing to some project or do something amazing, not boring plain algebra).     Hey guys, in order to remove contact's photo, which way is correct? 1) to update and set Photo.PHOTO to ""/"NULL" , or 2) to update and set Photo.MIMETYPE to ""/"NULL" or 3) to update and set Data.MIMETYPE to ""/"NULL" ? I wanted to mention also that I insert photos from my app by the following way: cr.insert(ContactsContract.Data.CONTENT_URI, photoValues); Please also tell me "" is better or null? While playing the videos if a user receives & disconnects the call , the video starts playing from beginning instead of the behaviour which should be that after the call disconnection , the video should start playing from the same place when the call was received.     Basically, what I want to do is to be notified whenever a specific method has been called. I was hoping I could accomplish this using Reflection, but my attempts haven't gotten me anywhere yet, so I'm hoping that perhaps somebody else with the same need has accomplished this before and can enlighten me. I figured using MethodInfo was the way to go, but like I said, I found nothing there that could help me accomplish what I wanted to do. Any suggestions, hints or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

I cannot use database to store these configs. I want to avoid using app.config either. (No app.config encryption) Any suggestions, Where and in which format i should store fields.
