  • Getting py2exe to work

    Hello all. I am following the the tutorial at http://www.py2exe.org/index.cgi/Tutorial to figure out how to use py2exe. I get down to step 3 where you are suppose to run the command: python setup.py py2exe I do that and then I get this error: 'python' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. I have python 2.4 installed on my machine. any idea's? I am sure it is something simple.

  • C# getting version of unmanaged dll

    I'm calling an unmanaged dll from my managed c# code and wanted to check I'm calling the right version. The code I'm trying to load the assembly (to then get the resource file and then get the version) is: cur_version = Assembly.LoadFile("X:\Workspace\yreceipts_pos\yRprintProcessor\Debug\yRprintProcessor.dll"); It's failing because of this error: The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131018) Does anyone know how to get around this or have a better way to check the version of an unmanaged dll from managed c# code? Thanks in advance, Richard

I have tried checking permission to connect to the URL with: URLConnection openConnection = urlString.openConnection(); openConnection.getPermission() but it usualy returns null. Does mean that i don't have permission to access the link? I have tried stripping off the query portion of the URL with: String nohtml = sb.toString().replaceAll("\\<.*?>",""); where sb is a Stringbulder, but it doesn't seem to strip off the whole query substring. In an unrelated question, I'd like to use threads here because I must retrieve many URLs; how can I create a multi-thread client to improve the speed?

For example, if I want to test a site for having a link called "About", do I write a method which can check this and then another method in another class library which can call the method to check the link via lambda syntax and add the relevant test and bdd attributes?     Goal I'l like to get a list of unique FID's ordered by the the one which has most recently been changed. In this sample table it should return FIDs in the order of 150, 194, 122 Example Data ID FID changeDate ---------------------------------------------- 1 194 2010-04-01 2 122 2010-04-02 3 194 2010-04-03 4 150 2010-04-04 My Attempt I thought distinct and order by would do the trick. I initially tried: SELECT distinct `FID` FROM `tblHistory` WHERE 1 ORDER BY changeDate desc # Returns 150, 122, 194 using GROUP BY has the same result. I'm just barely a SQL amateur, and I'm a bit hung up. What seems to be happening is the aggregating functions find the first occurrence of each and then perform the sort. Is there a way I can get the result I want straight from mySQL or do I have to grab all the data and then sort it in the PHP?

  • Getting a KeyError in DB backend of django-digest

    I have just started to integrate django_digest into my app. As a start I have added the @httpdigest decorator to one of my views. If I try to connect to it I get a KeyError exception thrown in django_digest/backend/db.py . Depending on which db I configure I get a different KeyError in a different location. I am using Django 1.2.1, with MySql (also tested with sqlite). I am using the default values for all the settings options. As far as I can see I have followed all instructions but am struggling all day with this. I am using the repository versions of django-digest and python-digest. Any steer would be greatly appreciated.   • Why are $_POST variables getting escaped in PHP?

    When my PHP script receives data from an AJAX POST request, the $_POST variables are escaped. The really strange thing is that this only happens on my production server (running PHP 5.2.12 on Linux) and not on my local server (running PHP 5.3.1 on Windows). The problem is that the RSSI value is drastically different from the one I can view from OS X via option clicking the bluetooth icon at the top. It is typical for my application to print off 1,2,-1,-8,etc while the menu displays -64 dBm, -66, -70, -42, etc. I would really appreciate some guidance.

  • Trouble getting $.ajax() to work in PhoneGap against a locally hosted server

    Currently trying to make an ajax post request to an IIS Express hosted MVC 4 Web API end point from an android VM (Bluestacks) on my machine. Here are the snippets of code that I am trying, and cannot get to work: $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "http://10.0.2.2:28434/api/devices", data: {'EncryptedPassword':'1234','UserName':'test','DeviceToken':'d234'} }).always(function( data, textStatus, jqXHR ) { alert( textStatus ); }); Whenever I run this request I always get back a textStatus of 'error'. (Even though I can get it to work by manually creating an XMLHttpRequest) Thanks

    Hi, I'm writing a very simple testing framework for my application, the design isn't perfect, but I don't have time to write something more complex. Essentially, I have a client and server-application, on my server I want a small python web server to start the server application with given test sequences on a GET or POST call. Also, the application prints some testdata to stderr which I'd like to catch and return in another HTTP call. However, the 'started' appears in my shell immediately (I added this because I thought the Popen call would only return after execution). I do not know the perfect inner workings of Popen and BaseHTTPRequestHandler however and do not really know where it goes wrong. Is there any way to make this work asynchronously?

    I am trying to get the data from Wikipedia's infoboxes into a hash or something so that I can use it in my Ruby on Rails program. Specifically I'm interested in the Infobox company and Infobox person. The example I have been using is "Ford Motor Company". I want to get the company info for that and the person info for the people linked to in Ford's company box. I've tried figuring out how to do this from the Wikipedia API or DBPedia but I haven't had much luck. I know wikipedia can return some things as json which I could parse with ruby but I haven't been able to figure out how to get the infobox. In the case of DBPedia I am kind of lost on how to even query it to get the info for Ford Motor Company.

  • Getting "on the wire" Size of Messages in WCF

    While I'm making SOAP or REST invocations to WCF, I'd like to have the channel stack on either end (client and server) record the on-the-wire size of the data received. So I'm guessing I need to add a custom behavior to the channel stack on either side. That is, on the server side I'd record the IP-header advertised size that was received. On the client side I'd record the IP-header advertised size that was returned from the server. But this presupposes that this information is visible to a custom WCF behavior at the channel stack level. Perhaps it is only visible at the level of ASP.NET (at a layer beneath WCF)? In short, does anyone have any further insight on if and how this information is accessible? I must qualify that this "size" data will be collected in a production environment, as part of regular business logic calls. This question is related to my earlier bandwidth question.

Now, I'm aware that the following annotation allows me to expect an exception of a certain type @Test(expected = NipException.class) However, I have an 'errorCode' property in my exception class which I would also like to verify. This is because the same exception is thrown at three places in the same method with different error codes. How do I access 'errorCode' of the thrown exception?
