    Does anyone know of a widget that displays 2 select boxes. One shows a list of all object in a model and the other shows the objects which have been selected. The user can then select an object from the first list, click an button which moves it to the 'selected' list. Then when the form is saved the objects in the selected list are saved in the manytomany field. Thanks

  • OpenId ASP MVC Authentication with long expiry

    Stackoverflow uses OpenId as many other websites. However, I rarely need to provide my OpenId to Stackoverflow while with other OpenId enabled websites, I have to do it once a day or week. This suggests to me that the expiry of the session is with the website and not the OpenId provider. Looking at the DotNetOpenId code in ASP MVC, I can see that after a successful authentication by the OpenId provider FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie is called with the identifier and a boolean parameter to determine if the cookie should be persisted. How can I force this cookie to expire, say in 2020 instead of whatever the default value is.

  • (C#, WinForms) How to assign an accessibility attribute to an image in ImageList

    Hi all, I'm trying to find a way to make a screen-reader (like JAWS) to read out loud some text that is assigned to images in ImageList. In other controls (like PushButton) there is "AccessibleName" property, that when contains text, it's being read by JAWS. the ImageList consists of four icons that represent priorities, and no text is displayed near them. Is it possible to do it? Can you think of any other creative solution? Thanks, Yaniv.

  • Data in custom attribute not returned in UserProfile object in MOSS

    I've created two new custom attributes in the UserProfile. When the service we wrote returns data about a specific user by using the UserProfile object, sometimes the data isn't returned, even though if we look at the user in SSP it look populated. Some users work; this is the first user we set up with data. I'm not sure if sometime in the meantime after setting up the first user and testing, if there's something we ran and need to run again. How can I get all the users to get their data returned in a call to their UserProfile?

I'm a django newbie so I haven't even used a Django Select widget yet. What is a good way to do this? Hard-code the choices in a file somewhere? Put them in the database? In the template?

    I'm going to rephrase this question. As it turns out the original answer wasn't definitive and problems were found. ======================================================================= In my app, I access my sqlite database at the following hard-coded location in my code: /data/data/com.mydomain.appname/databases/database.db If I turn ON copy protection in the Market Place, will my app still have access to this location? Or will I have to change it to something like: */data-private/*data/com.mydomain.appname/databases/database.db (or something like this) Since I have a Dev phone only, I have no way of testing to see if my app still functions normally after turning on copy protection. This check box or radio button is very often accompanied by a text box where the user is supposed to fill out what this Other is. How do you usually handle this set up? What kind of markup do you use? What do you require in your validation? Do you use java script for anything? For example: How do you make the form accessible? Do you use and how do you use the label tag, for example. Do you connect the check box and text box in any way with some javascript? For example, do you activate the text box when the check box is checked? Do you check or uncheck the check box automatically if the text box is filled out or cleared? Do you let validation fail with error messages if the check box is checked but the text box is not filled out, or if the text box is filled out but the check box is not checked? Or do you just consider it not filled out and not checked? Very unsure how to best deal with this issue, so any advice and examples are most welcome c",)

    My Team are evaluation to a bigger Business portal. (Invoicing, Bookkeeping, Salaries.....) We are all used to work with DDD, O/R mappers with NHibernate as our first choice. We have chosen to work with CompositeWPF to keep modularity between all modules and part system in the business portal. Now we have evaluated Ria Services and are kind of disappointed how it works in a Data Oriented way, Data Oriented can be good in a service oriented scenario, but we feel that we can with an Object Oriented approach to, and we feel that we can get an application with less complexity with the OO approach than the DO approach. For example it doesn't allow Value Objects, Many-to-many relations, everything needs to have keys and so on. We haven't looked at WCF Data Services yet so our question is WCF Data Services our answere? Does it integrate good with Silverlight 4? Can we work with it in a OO manor?

Some of my requirements are: real time plotting, 3D (waterfall), multiple axis, ability to accept BindingList as a data source and recognize any changes to the data. I also need a high level of user interactivity such as the ability to graphically select 1 or more series, draw regions. highlight part of a series, etc. So far I've looked at Nevron, Synchfusion, Infragistics, TeeChart and a few others.

How do I set the field 'a' to have the same number as id? (default=???)   • Database warehouse design: fact tables and dimension tables

    I am building a poor man's data warehouse using a RDBMS. I have identified the key 'attributes' to be recorded as: sex (true/false) demographic classification (A, B, C etc) place of birth date of birth weight (recorded daily): The fact that is being recorded My requirements are to be able to run 'OLAP' queries that allow me to: 'slice and dice' 'drill up/down' the data and generally, be able to view the data from different perspectives After reading up on this topic area, the general consensus seems to be that this is best implemented using dimension tables rather than normalized tables. Assuming that this assertion is true (i.e. the solution is best implemented using fact and dimension tables), I would like to seek some help in the design of these tables. 'Natural' (or obvious) dimensions are: Date dimension Geographical location Which have hierarchical attributes. However, I am struggling with how to model the following fields: sex (true/false) demographic classification (A, B, C etc) The reason I am struggling with these fields is that: They have no obvious hierarchical attributes which will aid aggregation (AFAIA) - which suggest they should be in a fact table They are mostly static or very rarely change - which suggests they should be in a dimension table. Maybe the heuristic I am using above is too crude? I will give some examples on the type of analysis I would like to carryout on the data warehouse - hopefully that will clarify things further. I would like to aggregate and analyze the data by sex and demographic classification - e.g. answer questions like: How does male and female weights compare across different demographic classifications? Which demographic classification (male AND female), show the most increase in weight this quarter. etc. Can anyone clarify whether sex and demographic classification are part of the fact table, or whether they are (as I suspect) dimension tables.? Also assuming they are dimension tables, could someone elaborate on the table structures (i.e. the fields)? The 'obvious' schema: CREATE TABLE sex_type (is_male int); CREATE TABLE demographic_category (id int, name varchar(4)); may not be the correct one.

  • [Django] Automatically Update Field when a Different Field is Changed

    I have a model with a bunch of different fields like first_name, last_name, etc. I also have fields first_name_ud, last_name_ud, etc. that correspond to the last updated date for the related fields (i.e. when first_name is modified, then first_name_ud is set to the current date). Is there a way to make this happen automatically or do I need to check what fields have changed each time I save an object and then update the related "_ud" fields. Thanks a lot!

  • Updating multiple related tables in SQLite

    Just some background, sorry so long winded. I'm using the System.Data.SQLite ADO.net adapter to create a local sqlite database and this will be the only process hitting the database, so I don't need to worry about concurrency. I'm building the database from various sources and don't want to build this all in memory using datasets or dataadapters or anything like that. I want to do this using SQL (DdCommands). I'm not very good with SQL and complete noob in sqlite. I'm basically using sqlite as a local database / save file structure. The database has a lot of related tables and the data has nothing to do with People or Regions or Districts, but to use a simple analogy, imagine: Region table with auto increment RegionID, RegionName column and various optional columns. District table with auto increment DistrictID, DistrictName, RegionId, and various optional columns Person table with auto increment PersonID, PersonName, DistrictID, and various optional columns So I get some data representing RegionName, DistrictName,PersonName, and other Person related data. The Region, District and/or Person may or may not be created at this point. Once again, not being the greatest with this, my thoughts would be something like: Check to see if Region exists and if so get the RegionID else create it and get RegionID Check to see if District exists and if so get the DistrictID else create it adding in RegionID from above and get DistrictID Check to see if Person exists and if so get the PersonID else create it adding in DistrictID from above and get PersonID Update Person with rest of data. In MS SQL Server I would create a stored procedure to handle all this. Only way I can see to do this with sqlite is a lot of commands. So I'm sure I'm not getting this. I've spent hours looking around on various sites but just don't feel like I'm going down the right road. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Problem with JS Selectbox Function

    I have a selectbox with three options. When a user selects one of the three options, I want a specific div to appear below it. I am trying to write the code that dictates which specific box is to appear when each of the three options is selected. So far, I have only worked on the code that pertains to the first option. However, whenever the user selects any of the three options from the selectbox, the function for the first option is triggered and the div is displayed. My question is two part: 1) How do I write a conditional function that specifically targets the selected option 2) What is the best way to accomplish what I have described above; How do I efficiently go about defining three different functions for three different options in a select box?   • EHome IR receiver and Ubuntu 13 - any one have this working?

    I have a "generic" USB IR receiver I purchased off of Ebay to make my life a little easier with XBMC on my Ubuntu box. I am currently running 13.10 and have never tried nor have any knowledge of IR in Ubuntu. I know of lirc, and I know a lot of it is now included in the kernel. My understanding is that lirc in basic terms maps pulses from an remote control to functions - like keyboard or mouse clicks.
