How do you link a time stamp to a cell using a userform button control? [migrated]

Hello fellow VB Developers/Users/Hobbyists/What-Have-You! I have a user form that has two buttons: 1. Start 2. Stop When I press start, I would like it to record the current time with this format: (dd/mm/yy hh:nn:ss:) in a specific column. Then when I press the Stop Button I would like it to record the time again in the cell next to it. Then if I press start Again I would like it to record below the first cells current record. Basically I am building a timer to record data to see how long certain tasks take. I will post the excel file and provide more information were necessary. Thanks for any help provided. Here's what I've been able to do so far: I've created a custom plugin that adds one piece of node data called "my_custom_data" it works when I load it manually in IRB I've used the Ohai cookbook to get it loaded on the servers that need it However, Ohai doesn't load it, neither during Chef runs nor if I run Ohai manually. How to get desired FireFox last tab behavior?

All tabs should be the same; so if any of the have a 'close' button, they all should, including the last tab. I see no reason that a tab's close button should suddenly vanish simply b/c that tab has become the last one open. If I have N tabs open, and park the mouse over the left-most tab's close button, this vanishing close button trick means now I have to make a large mouse move to get to the app's close button. Unsat. Mouse moves = too many milliseconds wasted. Closing the last tab should NOT take me to my home page, or any other page whatsoever. I want the browser to close with the last tab. I do not expect or want "new tab" behavior when I click a Close button. Now, I've gone into about:config and played with browser.tabs.closeWindoWithLastTab, but this setting oversteps its purpose; while it does make the browser close, for some inexplicable reason, it also suppresses the last tab's close button! I have tried the "last tab close button" add-on, and while this does restore the close button, the add-on oversteps by taking the liberty of turning closeWindowWithLastTab off. Is there some way out of this pickle? Is it too hard to just code things to provide simple, orthogonal actions, so that everybody can config the UI to their liking, and not just to a few pre-fab configurations that the developers think everyone should like? WhatsApp & Tasker for Android – Read & Write messages

So, I finally gave up on all my previous the Microsoft Mobile/Phone OS devices and made my switch to Android this year. I am using my Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 with CyanogenMod 9.1.0 (http://get.cm/get/jenkins/7086/cm-9.1.0-n7000.zip) and ClockworkMod 6.0.1.2 (http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-6.0.1.2-n7000.zip) since August this year and I am so happy with the performance and the flexibility it offers me. As a software developer by profession, I would expect most of my gadget to be highly customizable and programmable (one time or at intervals) to suit my needs as close as it can. I was introduced to Automation for Android – Tasker (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm&hl=en) via reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/tasker) and the word ‘automation’ was enough for me to dive right into this app. Only automation that I did earlier was switching profiles depending on location on there phones. And now, just imagine a complete set of possibilities that can be automate on the phone or via the phone. I did my research and found a couple of other tools that do the same/as close as what Tasker can do and few of them are even free. There’s one even by Microsoft called on{X} (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.onx.app&hl=en). Microsoft’s on{X} really caught my eye. You can write code for your phone on the web application by them, deploy it on your phone and even trace the flow all using your PC. Really brilliant, I love the fact that it’s all JavaScript. Here comes the but, it is still very very young and it’s policy of accessing my News Feed on Facebook is not something that I can not digest. On{X} is good, but as I said earlier, the API is not very mature and hence, I gave up on it. I bought Tasker, the best 5,00 € I spent in ages and I want to talk about it in this post. I am still a “noob” while operating this tool, but I tried my shot at automating WhatsApp (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whatsapp&hl=en), a popular messenger for various platform. The requirement for the automation is that, if I send a WhatsApp ‘wru’ message to the phone, it should respond back giving the location and battery level of my phone. It could be useful, if you like to locate your misplaced phone or automatically reply to your partner/friend, honestly, I don’t know what you will use it - through this post, I am just introducing automating WhatsApp using Tasker. How to host customer developed code server side

I'm developing a multi-tenant web application, most likely using ASP.NET MVC5 and Web API. I have used business applications in the past where it was possible to upload custom DLL's or paste in custom code to a GUI to have custom functions run server side. These applications were self hosted and single-tenant though so the customer developed bits didn't impact other clients. I want to host the multi-tenant web application myself and allow customers to upload custom code that will run server side. This could be for things like custom web services that client side JavaScript could interact with, or it could be for automation steps that they want triggered server side asynchronously when a user takes a particular action. Additionally, I want to expose an API that allows customers' code to interact with data specific to the web application itself. Client code may need to be "wrapped" so that it has access to appropriate references - to our custom API and maybe to a white list of approved libraries. There are several issues to consider - security, performance (infinite loops, otherwise poorly written code, load balancing, etc.), receive compiled DLL's or require raw code, etc. Is there an established pattern for this sort of thing or a sample project anyone can point to? Or any general recommendations?

SharePoint list items have in the the base Item template a field named Order. This field is not shown by default. SharePoint 2007, 2010 and 2013 have a possibility to specify the order in a UI, using the _layouts page: {SiteUrl}/_layouts/Reorder.aspx?List={ListId} In SharePoint 2010 and 2013 it is possible to add a custom action to a list. It is possible to add a custom action to order list items as follows (SharePoint 2010 description): Open SharePoint Designer 2010 Navigate to a list Select Custom Actions > List Item Menu Fill in the dialog box: Open List Settings > Advanced Settings > Content Types, and set Allow management of content types to No On List Settings select Column Ordering This results in the following UI in the browser: Selecting the custom Order Items action (under List Tools > Items) results in: You can change your custom action in SharePoint designer. On the list screen in the bottom right corner you can find the custom action: We now need to modify the view to include the order by adding the Order field to the view, and sorting on the Order field. Problem is that the Order field is hidden. It is possible to modify the schema of the Order field to set the Hidden attribute to FALSE. If we don’t want to write code to do it and still get the required result it is also possible to modify the view through SharePoint Designer: Modify the code of the view: This results in: Note that if you change the view through the web UI these changes are partly lost. When I get the Force Close dialog, I have a Report button. Where did it come from?

I feel a little bit silly asking this, but I haven't been able to find any answers on my own. My Force Close dialog has a "Report" button. I think it's a great idea, and I wish everyone had it. At first, I thought it must be something I turned on without realizing it, but not only can't I find any setting that I might have touched, I also can't find any reference to this button existing on the Internet. I have a Droid, and I know 4 other people with Droids, and they say they don't have the option to report Force Closes. Am I special? Am I just missing something? The "report" button has been there for at least a few weeks now. When I use the Report button, I get a screen with a "feedback" field and a checkbox for "Include system data". Below that , it says "Information from feedback reports will be shown to the developer of the application." Under that are Preview and Send buttons. As a developer, I've never received one of these reports. I'd try to send a report to myself, but it seemingly only shows the button for apps installed from the market, and I don't know of a way to crash my production app. I suppose I could publish a simple crashing app just to try it out, but I thought I'd ask you folks first. Getting Started First, download the free Windows 7 Start Button Changer (link below), and extract the contents of the folder. It contains the app along with a selection of alternate start button orbs you can try out. Before changing the start button, we advise creating a system restore point in case anything goes wrong. Enter System Restore in your Start menu search, and select “Create a restore point”. Please note: We tested this on both the 32 bit and 64 bit editions of Windows 7, and didn’t encounter any problems or stability issues. Building on someone else's DefaultButton Silverlight work...

This week I was handed a "simple" requirement - have a search screen execute its search when the user pressed the Enter key instead of having to move hands from keyboard to mouse and click Search. That is a reasonable request that has been met for years both in Windows and Web apps. I did a quick scan for code to pilfer and found Patrick Cauldwell's Blog posting "A 'Default Button' In Silverlight". This posting was a great start and I'm glad that the basic work had been done for me, but I ran into one issue - when using bound textboxes (I'm a die-hard MVVM enthusiast when it comes to Silverlight development), the search was being executed before the textbox I was in when the Enter key was pressed updated its bindings. With a little bit of reflection work, I think I have found a good generic solution that builds upon Patrick's to make it more binding-friendly. Also, I wanted to set the DefaultButton at a higher level than on each TextBox (or other control for that matter), so the use of mine is intended to be set somewhere such as the LayoutRoot or other high level control and will apply to all controls beneath it in the control tree. I haven't tested this on controls that treat the Enter key special themselves in the mix. The real change from Patrick's solution here is that in the KeyUp event, I grab the source of the KeyUp event (in my case the textbox containing search criteria) and loop through the static fields on the element's type looking for DependencyProperty instances. When I find a DependencyProperty, I grab the value and query for bindings. Each time I find a binding, UpdateSource is called to make sure anything bound to any property of the field has the opportunity to update before the action represented by the DefaultButton is executed. How to use jQuery to assign a class to only one radio button in a group when user clicks on it?

I have the following markup. I would like to add class_A to <p class="subitem-text"> (that holds the radio button and the label) when user clicks on the <input> or <label>. If user clicks some other radio-button/label in the same group, I would like to add class_A to this radio-button's parent paragraph and remove class_A from any other paragraph that hold radio-buttons/labels in that group. Effectively, in each <li>, only one <p class="subitem-text"> should have class_A added to it. Is there a jQuery plug-in that does this? Hi, I'm trying to create "imagemaps" on an image in wpf using codebehind. Hi, I've just started learning flex using OReilly "Programming Flex 3.0". After completing three chapters and starting fourth (ActionScript), and not having enough patience to wait till completing chapter 22 I started to practice :) One bit that I have most worries about right now is the the dual coding mode (MXML vs ActionScript) Please have a look at my code below (it compiles via mxmlc design.mxml, second file 'code.as' should be in same directory) and advise if the separation I used between visual design and code is appropriate. Also - if some smart guy could show me how to recode same example with *.as being a class file [package?] it would be highly appreciated. I got lost with creating directory structure for package - and did not find it most intuitive, especially for small project that has two files like my example. How can I use a custom TabItem control when databinding a TabControl in WPF?

I have a custom control that is derived from TabItem, and I want to databind that custom TabItem to a stock TabControl. I would rather avoid creating a new TabControl just for this rare case. This is what I have and I'm not having any luck getting the correct control to be loaded.
