• Help with SQL query in C#

  I'm trying to rename the columns. The syntax should be the column name between double quotes incase of two words, like this: SELECT p_Name "Product Name" from items So I'm trying to do it in C# code like this: string sqlqry1 = "SELECT p_Name \"Prodcut Name\" from items"; But I get an error: Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression 'p_Name "Prodcut Name"'. It seems am having somthing wrong with the quotes, but I can't figure out.

Particularly: select m from Manual m //constraint e.g. in sql (mysql syntax) I would do it like: select * from Manual limit 1 The only solution that comes up is simply to get all entities and then choose first one, which is out of the issue. Problem is that in Applet I have something say: sql=select * from p where(+p=1) The resulting sql parameter in the Servlet is sql=select * from p where(+p=1). So anyone knows how to prevent the browser from removing the + character from parameters? Is there a escape character? Thank you.

• Watir question regarding select_list and reloading

  I have a drop down with multiple options. Whenever you choose an option, the page reloads with data specific with that option. Currently I'm using select.list(:name, strg).set(value) and it does that part just fine, but it does not reload the page with the specific data. Anyone know how to help. When i watch it in action, it doesn't select the option either, but my logs show that it does.Thanks.

  Hey all, I am trying to put together a query that will display one specific record (found by the record's primary ID) at the top, and display all other records below it, sorted by date (I have "date_added" as one of the fields in the table, in addition to primary ID). I could do this with a UNION (first select would locate the record I want, and the other select would display all other records), but I'm wondering if is there perhaps a better way? I'm using Oracle, by the way.
