• Trying to create an image list based on what is defined as the order, and loosing

  I have a custom created module for Joomla 2.5 and within the params of the module, and have a loop that is not outputting as expected. I have the following parameters (fields) int he module: Order Thumb image Image Title Full-size image Now there are 10 sets of these group of 4 params. What I am trying to do is loop through each of the object sets, 10 of them, and on each iteration, build an HTML image list structure. The if statement is building the HTML structure for the sets that have an order value that is greater than 0, and the else is creating the html for those sets that do not have a value greater that 0. The goal is to create two variables and then concatenate the the strings together; the leading set are the sets that have an order defined. This is not happening and every thrid loop seems like it is missing. • Templated function with two type parameters fails compile when used with an error-checking macro

  Because someone in our group hates exceptions (let's not discuss that here), we tend to use error-checking macros in our C++ projects. I have encountered an odd compilation failure when using a templated function with two type parameters. I mean... it splits whole words into parts (on special chars) where it shouldn't! so my guess is I should use multibyte functions instead of regular preg_replace... I tried to replace preg_replace with mb_ereg_replace but it is not working as it should... at least not for 2 and 3 words phrases any ideas?

• Problems with this code?

• Troubleshoot Perl module installation on Mac OS X

  I'm trying to install the Perl module Set::IntervalTree on Mac OS X. I recently installed it today on an Ubuntu box with no problem. I simply started cpan, entered install Set:IntervalTree, and it all worked out. However, the installation failed on Mac OS X--it spits out a huge list of compiler errors (below). How would I troubleshoot this.   I am having problems using Autofac 2.1.13 and writing my unit tests for my ASP.NET MV2 application. I can't seem to resolve controllers when using the RegisterControllers method.   Hello, I am trying to use QSerialDevice in Qt to get a connection to my serial port. I also tried QextSerialPort before (which works on Windows Vista but unfortunately not on Windows XP ..) but I need an API which supports XP, Vista and Win7... I build the library and configured it this way: CONFIG += dll CONFIG += debug I did use the current version from SVN (0.2.0 - 2010-04-05) and the 0.2.0 zip package. After building the library I did copy it to my Qt Libdir (C:\Qt\2009.05\qt\lib) and also to C:\Windows\system32. If I build the QSerialDevice lib with release config and also my program, it crashes immediately but with exit code -1073741819 Can someone help me with this program or with another solution of getting a serial port to work with Qt (maybe another API or something?) Otherwise I have to use Windows API functions which would mean that my program won't work with UNIX systems.. • IIS7 Mixed Mode Authentication

  We're getting ready to start migrating some of our IIS6 sites to IIS7, and the application currently uses Forms Authentication. We have started getting some requests from various sites to use the Windows Authentication for the users. While this is easy enough to implement (and I've shown internally that there is no issue with the app, as expected) the question then is how to continue to keep Forms authentication for when Integrated Windows doesn't work. I've seen several walkthroughs on how to have it configured on IIS6, and I could do the same thing on IIS7, but then I have to turn on Classic Mode processing. Any solution should also be back portable to IIS6, if possible, to keep the build tree simple. So what are my options on this? Do I setup the app with Integrated Windows Authentication in IIS7, Forms Auth in the web.config, and redirect 401 errors to an "error page" allowing them to login using forms, then back to the regular app? The case when Forms is likely to be needed is going to be reserved for Contract workers, our support staff, and if someone needs to access it on their site from their Extranet. So primarily it's for our staff to login to check functionality and confirm bug reports. I suggested we just maintain that for our support staff to work, we need a Windows login that will always be live, and then we'll just enforce local responsibility on who can login to the site, but I'm told that we would do better to have Forms Authentication. Any thoughts? I can post some of the links of the articles I've already read through if that would help the forum better narrow my needs. Many thanks. tl;dr: How to do mixed mode authentication (forms, windows) in IIS7 without changing to classic pipeline and still be able to use the build in IIS6 if possible.

  So, I have VS 2010 installed and am in the process of modifying my MSBuild script for our TeamCity build integration. Everything is working great with one exception. How can I tell MSBuild that I want to apply the Web.conifg transform files that I've created when I publish the build... I have the following which produces the compiled web site but, it outputs a Web.config, Web.Debug.config and, Web.Release.config files (All 3) to the compiled output directory. • MSBuild on TeamCity Server can't find AL.exe

  I'm having a problem on my TeamCity CI build server where during compilation I get the following error: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Microsoft.Common.targets(2342, 9): error MSB3086: Task could not find "AL.exe" using the SdkToolsPath "" or the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A". Make sure the SdkToolsPath is set and the tool exists in the correct processor specific location under the SdkToolsPath and that the Microsoft Windows SDK is installed I've found similar reports from a year ago when people were upgrading to .NET 3.5, for example this one. In that case, installing the latest SDK solved the issue, however I have already installed the latest SDK (Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 7 and .NET Framework 4) on my build server. The MSBuild tools are all there on the server, in a folder called C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319 and AL.exe exists in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.1\Bin\NETFX 4.0 Tools However the registry key mentioned in the error message does not exist. So, it seems like there is something wrong with the installation/configuration of MSBuild. This error only happens for projects that have embedded resources, which require AL.exe. Please, anyone solved this issue or have any clues what's wrong?

  Hi everyone, I'm having a hard time triying to make jQtouch and Google Maps api V3 together. I've tried almost everything. It seems that the only source of information is here I checked every single post. I'm starting with jQuery and css... so there's a lot of stuff I don't understand. First of all, I'm using jQtouch framework to build a web app with google maps integration, the problem is that whenever I pan the map, strange flickering occurs. It's like jQtouch and the map are trying to fight for a callback. I'm using the latest revision out there. And have several bugs, regarding transition/animation functionality (since I don't wrap the map and all the element's divs within the #jqt wrapper) and css issues with some styling. Anyone has successfully achieve a functional setup build for this scenario? (google maps api v3 & jqtouch), I think is not necessary to paste you some code (But if you think is necessary please let me know and I'll do it), If you paste me a minimal example with a map (detailing jqtouch version, and modification to the styles/.js files), and some transition back and forth from the map to another div/section/page, you'll get the bounty. Thanks a lot in advance. And please, let me know if this is kind of 'legal' here, I mean, there's too loose information on the official wiki, and like 13 'solutions' but nothing concrete... I'm just triying to help anyone who step on in this problem in the future.

• Eclipse Blackberry Preprocessor Not Working?

  I've already followed the directions @ http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1383277/using-preprocessor-directives-in-blackberry-jde-plugin-for-eclipse for making sure the blackberry plugin preprocessing hook is (theoretically) enabled. I'm using Eclipse 3.5.1 with Blackberry Plugin 1.1 with BB SDKs 4.7.0 and 4.6.0. I have my preprocessor defines set (and I've tried in both the Project's Blackberry Properties as well as the Workspace Blackberry Build settings), and checked their capitalization and spelling carefully too. I'm fairly confident the actual code to say "this stuff should be preprocessed" is good, because including/excluding preprocessed code seems to work fine on command line builds: //#preprocess --- at beginning of file and then code blocks like this throughout: //#ifndef jde_4_7 /* //#endif //#ifdef jde_4_7 import net.rim.device.api.ui.TouchEvent; //#endif //#ifndef jde_4_7 */ //#endif So what I can't figure out what else could be wrong that would cause Eclipse to not compile in my preprocessed code unless I remove the comments that are supposed to prevent the touch code from building into a build for blackberries that don't support touch. At one point it used to work (and no I haven't updated Eclipse), but sometime in the last couple of weeks it seemed to just stop working. And I'm getting kind of tired of the error-prone process of searching for ifdefs and manually commenting/uncommenting touch code and looking for a better solution while I do testing and initial development requiring testing both touch and non-touch functionality. Any other ideas on what could be wrong or how to fix it?

Some of us are seeing a new error we used to never see when building solutions in Visual Studio (happens in both 2008 and 2010): Error generating Win32 resource: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. It always points to some temp file in our output folder, for example: MyProject\obj\Debug\CSC5123.tmp This happens about once every four or so builds. We then will try to run the same exact build again, and it will usually succeed. In some cases though, it will fail again on the same project, and in same cases, it will fail on a different project. There's really no rhyme or reason to it. But it's very frustrating, especially when it doesn't happen until the build has been running for 20 or so seconds. This also doesn't happen to all of our coworkers. It happens to about one out of four developers. For the one, it happens about one of four builds, and for the other three, it never happens. Oh, and did I mention we're all using machines built from the same image? :) Thanks in advance for any direction you can provide.

I have the library weblogic.jar in my build library folders, which is set as classpath for the junit task. I look at this file and can't find the WeblogicMBean.class inside. However, in Jdev, I can import weblogic.management.WeblogicMBean into my class if I set library reference to this weblogic.jar file and compile my class without problem. • Eventlet or gevent or Stackless + Twisted, Pylons, Django and SQL Alchemy

  We're using Twisted extensively for apps requiring a great deal of asynchronous io. There are some cases where stuff is cpu bound instead and for that we spawn a pool of processes to do the work and have a system for managing these across multiple servers as well - all done in Twisted. Works great. The problem is that it's hard to bring new team members up to speed. Writing asynchronous code in Twisted requires a near vertical learning curve. It's as if humans just don't think that way naturally. We're considering a mixed approach perhaps. Maybe do the xmlrpc server part and process management in Twisted still but the other stuff in code that at least looks synchronous while not being as such. Then again I like explicit over implicit so hmmm. Anyway onto greenlets - how well does that stuff work? So there's Stackless and as you can see from my Gallentean avatar I'm well aware of the tremendous success in it's use for CCP's flagship EVE Online game first hand. What about Eventlet or gevent? Well for now only Eventlet works with Twisted. However gevent claims to be faster since it's not a pure python implementation it instead uses libevent. It also has fewer idiosyncrasies and defects supposedly. The documentation there is minimal in comparison to Eventlet and it's maintained by 1 guy as far as I can tell. This makes me leery but all great projects start this way so... Then there's PyPy - I haven't even finished reading about that one yet - just saw it in this thread: Drawbacks of Stackless. So confusing - I'm wondering what the heck to do - sounds like Eventlet is probably the best bet but is it really stable enough? Anyone out there have any experience with it? Should we go with Stackless instead as it's been around and is proven technology - just like Twisted is as well - and they do work together nicely. But still I hate having to have a separate version of Python to do this. what to do.... This somewhat obnoxious blog entry hit the nail on the head for me though: Asynchronous IO for Grownups We're stuck using MySQL as well - I never knew how great PostgreSQL was until having had to work on a production OLTP system in MySQL instead - but that's another story. But if that monkey patch thing really works then wow. Just wow.

• C# Assembly.GetTypes() - ReflectionTypeLoadException

  We implement a plugin framework for our application and load plugin assemblies using Assembly.Loadfrom. We then use GetTypes() and further examine the types with each plugin file for supported Interfaces. A path for the plugins is provided by the user and we cycle through each of the files in the folder to see if it (the plugin) supports our plugin interface. If it does, we create an instance, if not we move onto the next file. We build two versions of software from the one code base (appA_1 and appA_2). Loading the plugins works well when the plugins are loaded by the application that was built at the same time as the plugin file. However if we build appA_2 and point to the plugin folder of appA_1, we get an exception when GetTypes() is called. A basic version of our code is; var pluginAssembly = Assembly.LoadFrom(FileName); foreach (var pluginType in pluginAssembly.GetTypes()) { We get a "ReflectionTypeLoadException" exception. This is concerning because we want our application to be able to load the types of any plugin, built by anyone. Is there something we are missing?

• Installing python-mysql with wamp's mysql

  Hello, (I'm not sure if this should be asked here or SU.. but seeing this question on SO, I am asking it here...) I have wamp (mysql-5.1.33) server setup on my vista machine, and I am trying to install python-mysql 1.2.3c1 to use the mysql version provided by wamp. At first, when I ran python setup.py install, I got an error saying it couldn't find the location of the mysql's bin folder. Looking into setup_windows.py, I noticed it was looking for a registry key and so I added that registry entry and I think it is able to find it now. But now, when I run python setup.py install, I get a different error saying Unable to find vcvarsall.bat. Any help on installing this appreciated. • sudo port install arm-elf-gcc3 fails with "No defined site for tag: gcc…"

  Am trying to get the ARM plugin for Eclipse (http://sourceforge.net/projects/gnuarmeclipse/) going on iMac i7, OS 10.6.3, Xcode 3.2.2 (don't want to upgrade during my project). The plugin needs (IIRC) arm-elf-gcc3, which needs darwinports for "easy" install. • TFS 2010 - TF14040 The Folder may not be checked out.

  I have a .NET 4 website in VS2010 stored in a TFS 2010 team project. I need to add a reference to System.Data.Linq.dll to the website. I am referencing a LINQ DataContext that is defined in another project and I get build errors saying that I need the reference to System.Data.Linq. I go up to the "Add Reference" menu option and add it like I would any normal reference, and it even shows up in the Web.config and in the Properties pages for the website... BUT if I build I still get the same error. So I found a place in my code where I was referencing the LINQ count function and it told me it was invalid because I was missing a reference and it offered to add the reference automatically. I told it to add the reference automatically and it is at this point that I get the error mentioned in the subject: TF14040: The folder $/Folder/Subfolder may not be checked out. No items were checked out I've done some research online but I haven't been able to find much. I saw on a blog that making the folder not readonly fixed the issue for him, but it didn't seem to work for me unless I misunderstood something. I tried loading up the project from source control onto a fresh computer where that project had never been loaded before and I can reproduce the issue the same way. Help would be greatly appreciated.

• How do I use VS2010 One-Click Publish (MsDeploy) to deploy remotely from the command line?

  On the remote web server I have installed the remote service http://x.x.x.x/MsDeployAgentService. If I use the Web Application Project's Publish command in VS2010 I can successfully publish to this remote web server and update a specific IIS website. What I want to do now is execute this capability from the command line. I am guessing it is two steps. First build the web application project using the relevant build configuration: msbuild "C:\MyApplication\MyWebApplication.csproj" /T:Package /P:Configuration=Release Then issue the MsDeploy command to have it publish/sync with the remove IIS server: msdeploy -verb:sync -source:package="C:\MyApplication\obj\Release\Package\MyWebApplication.zip" -dest:contentPath="My Production Website", computerName=http://x.x.x.x/MsDeployAgentService, username=adminuser,password=adminpassword Unfortunately I get an the error: Error: (10/05/2010 3:52:02 PM) An error occurred when the request was processed on the remote computer. Error: Source (sitemanifest) and destination (contentPath) are not compatible for the given operation. Error count: 1. I have tried a number of different combinations for destination provider but no joy :( Has anyone managed to replicate VS2010 Web Application Project "One Click" Publish from the command line?
