• gnu screen - changing the default escape command key to ALT-X?

  In GNU screen, I want to change the default command binding to Alt-s (by tweaking .screenrc) instead of the default C-a, the reason is I use emacs hence GNU screen binds the C-a key, sending "C-a" to the emacs becomes tedious (as @Nils said, to send "C-a" I should type "C-a a"), as well as "C-a" in bash shell, and I could change the escape to C- but some of them are already mapped in emacs and other combinations are not as easy as ALT-s . If anyone has already done a ALT key mapping, please do let me know.

  Using forms authentication, is it possible to return a 404 if a user doesn't have access to content, rather than redirecting them somewhere? I realize I could send them to a 404-ish page, or redirect to a login page that doesn't exist, but I really want to return a 404 from the page they were attempting to access. Possible?

I have done a bit of research and found several classes developed for a similar purpose, but haven't been able to turn up much that is built into the Windows libraries.   I want a simple client that takes a few parameters (Method, URL, Parameters), makes an HTTP request, and shows me the results that were returned. A browser obviously can easily send GET and POST requests, but I have no good ideas on DELETE and UPDATE. Did I miss something in browser 101, or is there a common freeware tool to do this?   i have users from all timezones, and i want to send out alerts at around 8AM in each users respective timezone. i need a python script that runs every hour [in a cron job] and i need to find out at which timezone it is 8AM right now, and i can use that info to select the users that have to receive the alerts. how do i go about doing this? there seems to be gmt+14 to gmt-12 that is 27 timezones, and there are only 24 hours in a day!

  We have gotten WSO2 governance registry to send e-mails successfully. Now we want to template the emails that are being sent out. We cannot compile the sample anyway as the Maven compiler keeps looking up the references files and errors with checksum validation failed. Thanks
