  Hi, Is it possible to pass parameters ($_POST or $_GET) with redirectory helper in Zend Framework? The following code redirect to index action of current controller, but I would like to pass some parameters to it as well. $this->_helper->redirector("index"); Zend Documenataion does not say anything about it.

• Grails | Deployment | Include .dll in war

  I have a sqljdbc_auth.dll file which I want to include in my war in order to enable Windows Authentication. I tried the following code: grails.war.copyToWebApp = { args -> fileset(dir:"web-app") { include(name: "jdbc/**") } } Where jdbc is the folder which contains my sqljdbc_auth.dll file. However, it doesn't work. The war doesn't include the dll. Please let me know if I am missing anything here. Thanks.

  Howdy, having a little trouble here. I have domain.co.uk setting a session. When I click on a link on domain.co.uk to go to sub.domain.co.uk the session is not being read. • If you stick to standard coding in .NET, is there reason to manually invoke the GC or run finalizers

  If you stick to managed code and standard coding (nothing that does unconventional things withe CLR) in .NET, is there any reason to manually invoke the GC or request to run finalizers on unreferenced objects? The reason I ask is thaty I have an app that grows huge in Working Memory set. I'm wondering if calling System.GC.Collect(); and System.GC.RunFinalizers(); would help, and if it would force anything that wouldn't be done by the CLR normally anyways.

Visual Studio creates "Header Files" and "Source Files" filters by default. To me, this dichotomy causes more annoyance than anything else. What's your take on this?

  I'm looking for some good tools that help to share tips, best practices, company standards, etc. amongs developers in my company. Two tools I'm currently considering are a wiki (screwturn wiki) or Sharepoint 2010. I'm wondering if there is something better suited to the task, or any input anyone has on this subject. I'd prefer something that's windows based (i.e. runs on IIS, can authenticate users against Active Directory etc) but I am open to anything.

  what is considered best practice when referring to a program's name? i've seen #define PROGRAM_NAME "myprog" printf("this is %s\n", PROGRAM_NAME); as well as printf("this is %s\n", argv[0]); i know, that the second approach will give me ./myprog rather than myprog when the program is not called from $PATH and that the first approach will guarantee consistence regarding the program's name. but is there anything else, that makes one approach superior to the other?

  I have a django html form for address information. There is standard street, city, state/province, postal code, country fields. The country field is a drop down list. How can I make the state/province field a drop down list if the selected country is united states and a free form text box if the country is anything else?   Hi, is it possible to read the value of an IdentityTag if you place it on the TagVisualizer, without having initalized it before? I would like to use the tags for registering a new object on the Surface but having all the "free" IdentityTags in a Collection for initalizing them all... There must be a better way to do in I think. But the TagVisualizer doesn't seem to do anything when you put a tag on it that it doesn't know.

• Geometry library for python (or C++) for CAD-like operations?

  I'm trying to put together a simple program that will let me visualize a series of consecutive cuts on a wood panel using a router with a particular cutting head. I'm trying to find a decent geometry library that will give me a shortcut through the CAD-like stuff. Specifically, I'd like to be able to define a rectangular solid (the wood panel) and then define a bit profile shape, and take cuts through the rectangular solid (sometimes on a straight line, sometimes on a circular arc). Does anyone know of anything that will do this?

• CSS Doozie: Replacing BG Image on SELECT dropdown

  I need to be able to change the background-image property of a SELECT drop-down using JavaScript/CSS. We have been able to accomplish this in Firefox, but it doesn't appear to be supported at all in IE. From what I've read, IE won't support this. But I'm wondering if there's anything else I could try. Does anyone here have any recommendations?
