    Hi all... I am creating a web application in which i have to select a date. I am using Calendar control. But it occupies too much space and other labels and text boxes are not shown in proper alignment. Is there anything I Can do in which when i click on an image, the calendar control opens, but on the textbox, so that it does not occupy any space. Regards, Jigar

  • Default Sorting in DynamicData

    I am using DynamicData in the version that shipped with VS2008. In the default List view, the data is sorted by order of entry into the database. I'd like to get it sorted by a field of a specific name (descending). As a last resort I tried to use the OrderByParameter of the LinqDataSource with a QueryStringParameter, but I could not get it to sort anything. =) Is there an easy way to accomplish this?

  • Change default global installation directory for node.js modules in Windows?

    In my windows installation PATH includes C:\Program Files\nodejs, where executable node.exe is. I'm able to launch node from the shell, as well as npm. I'd like new executables to be installed in C:\Program Files\nodejs as well, but it seems impossible to achieve. Setting NODE_PATH and NODE_MODULES variables doesn't change anything: things are still installed in %appdata%\npm by default. How can I change the global installation path?

    Hi there, is there a way to reduce the space between two sections of a UITableView? There are about 15 pixel between every single section I have. I did already try to return 0 for -tableView:heightForFooterInSection: and -tableView:heightForHeaderInSection: but that doesn't change anything. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. –f

    I'm trying to put together a simple program that will let me visualize a series of consecutive cuts on a wood panel using a router with a particular cutting head. I'm trying to find a decent geometry library that will give me a shortcut through the CAD-like stuff. Specifically, I'd like to be able to define a rectangular solid (the wood panel) and then define a bit profile shape, and take cuts through the rectangular solid (sometimes on a straight line, sometimes on a circular arc). Does anyone know of anything that will do this?

  • node.js express app won't start (or debug) in Eclipse (Nodeclipse)

    When I do on my app.js Debug As > Node Application it says Launching STANDALONE_V8 has encountered a problem. Failed to connect to Standalone V8 VM connect timed out It should start an app. Doing so directly on my terminal works fine. When I start a debug session in my terminal and than try to debug it in Eclipse works fine too. So is there anything that has to be done in order to make it work in Eclipse?

  • Why isnt int pow(int base, int exponent) in the standard C++ libraries?

    I feel like I must just be unable to find it. Is there any reason that the c++ pow function does not implement the "power" function for anything except floats and doubles? I know the implementation is trivial, I just feel like I'm doing work that should be in a standard library. A robust power function (ie handles overflow in some consistent, explicit way) is not fun to write.

    The following is a part of an upload class in a c# script. I'm a php programmer, I've never messed with c# much but I'm trying to learn. This upload script will not handle anything except images, I need to adapt this class to handle other types of media also, or rewrite it all together. If I'm correct, I realize that using (Image image = Image.FromStream(file.InputStream)) basically says that the scope of the following is Image, only an image can be used or the object is discarded? And also that the variable image is being created from an Image from the file stream, which I understand to be, like... the $_FILES array in php?   • New to CakePHP -> How To Add Columns To a MySQL Table?

    I had a website made for me a long time ago, and the programmer did it in CakePHP. I'm now editing his scripts. I added a couple columns to a table, and found that doing saveField() on the new column does not do anything. How do I make CakePHP recognize the new columns? I'd appreciate your help.
