I am using a shared hosting environment that will not give me access to the command line.
Can I download the python module on my computer, compile it using python setup.py installand then simply upload a .py file to the web host?
If yes, where does the install statement place the compiled file?
I have included gwt-html5-geolocation into my GWT project and was disappointed to find that it doubled up on my number of permutations compiled. Apparently if the browser does not support geolocation API then it falls back to use gears to find out your location. Is there a way to NOT compile a permutation for gears similar to the way you can tell GWT to only compile certain browser permutations? (the geolocation stuff is very much a nice-to-have and frankly if the client is running an old browser then I am happy not to get their location)
Thanks
I would like to compile irb from source without any optimizations so I can get more information while stepping through (interpreter) code using gdb. I have successfully compiled ruby 1.9.1 without problems, but I cannot find any documentation regarding irb. I believe that irb is included in the ruby 1.9 source, but have not been able to verify this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Hi
I am getting this error : "Unhandled exception at 0x00411690 in tim.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000008" when I execute a program this is compiled and linked successfully and the problem is that localtime() function is not correctly recognized by Visual C++ 2008. (With VC++6, this program works fine).
Is there any idea and thanks for replies:
how to get a list of files / folders as an IEnumerable and not an array?
the reason I want to do this is a have many folders with 20,000+ files in them, and i need to loop through all of them but do not want to wait for them to be compiled into an array. but just want to go through one at a time.
also i'm using .net 3.5 not v4
I am using a IoC Container (Castle Windsor) to instantiate classes accordingly to the configuration file. If I want to add classes from a new dll that didn't exist when I compiled the project, there is any way to do that without recompiling?
Edit: As this project is a Service Host for WCF service, and the classes that I want to include after compilation are WCF Services I would like also to know if I can include endpoint information about new services without recompiling.
Is there any way to create a hash of string at compile time using the C/C++ preprocessor (or even template-metaprogramming)?
e.g. UNIQUE_SALT("HelloWord", 3DES);
The idea is that HelloWorld will not be present in the compiled binary, just a hash.
I'm setting up a new svn+trac environment, the svn server's version is 1.6.11, then I can't find any corresponding pre-compiled svn-python binding, finally I found the following thread:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/677252/python-svn-bindings-for-windows
so, my question is: how to compile from these source?
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/subversion/trunk/subversion/bindings/swig/python/
I always thought that varibales are mapped to stack locations once your Java source is compiled; additionally, they may include the info about the variable names and their scope in classfiles, but that's optional AFAIK.
The question is - how do my Eclipse/IDEA IDEs allow me to set a watch expression containing the local variable name? To me, it's hard to understand :)
How to diable UAC using Visual Studio 2010 to run the compiled app without problems and witout using virtualization?
I mean run the app as administrator. (with shield icon)
I have a version of Vim compiled with python 2.6 support enabled (from here). however vim cannot find the python26.dll.
:version confirms +python/dyn
:version and gvim.exe confirms DYNAMIC_PYTHON_DLL="python26.dll"
echo PATH confirms python26.dll is in the search path.
(both c:\windows\system32, and C:\python26)
What could I be missing? Did I skip something silly?
I ported a little Haskell program I wrote from Mac to Windows. It's a GUI application (wxHaskell, compiled with ghc 6.12.1), so it does not need the command prompt window to open. It does so, anyway, so my question: What must I do so that the program starts without opening a prompt window first? Is there some ghc switch for this?
hi ,i have compiled srp-2.1.2 under ubuntu using make ,it creat a file libsrp.a. can any one tell me how can i use libsrp.a as shared library?.i want to use libsrp in a c# file under ubuntu by using dllimport.

I have a solution in Visual studio containing a winform project(WinProj) and a deployment project for WinProj.
I added to the deployment project the primary output from WinProj. Does it be compiled in Debug or Release mode?
I am asking because in the WinProj code I have conditional precompiler statements
#if DEBUG
throw;
#endif
will or not be considered this code in the setup project?
In MSVC, how can I make any unhandled C++ exception (std::runtime_error, for instance) crash my release-compiled program so that it generates a dump with the full stack from the exception throw location?
I have installed NTSD in the AeDebug registry an can generate good dumps for things like memory access violation, so the matter here comes down to crashing the program correctly, I suppose.
Thanks in advance.
i need to calculate few metrics (CBO, NOC, DAC, LCOM, WMC, RFC and DIT metric). Program is written in jdeveloper and i do not know how to calculate this metrics. Migration to eclipse is not possible becouse code is not compiled. Does anyone know any good program for calculating metrics?
Hey Everyone,
I was wondering if any one had compiled a list of the most commonly used Android devices so I can get an idea of what I should test for. Even better would be suggested configurations for emulating each device.
Thanks,
Rob
Is there a way to have a full interpreter in Erlang, not just a "shell".
Since it is a dynamic language, not being able to define named functions in the interpreter is a little bit disappointing... I suspect that it is because compilation units (modules) must be explicitly compiled for their execution by the VM, but maybe a REPL acting as a dynamic/recompilable module exist?
If this was on a linux box I'd be set, but there's a distinct lack of documentation!
I want to use this with c# and the omega indexing app.
There doesn't seem to be any documentation on how to actually BUILD xapian & omega on windows (or, pre-compiled binaries which would work fine).
Compiling VIM on Mountain Lion does not work for me. I compile VIM with the following sequence:
hg clone https://vim.googlecode.com/hg/ vim
cd vim
./configure --enable-rubyinterp --with-features=huge -prefix=/usr
make
I then try to start the compiled binary with src/vim, but it crashes like this:
$ src/vim
Vim: Caught deadly signal SEGV
Vim: Finished.
Segmentation fault: 11
What am I missing here?
When is a good design decision to use the Ternary Operator over if then else clause? Are there any efficiency hit? Do they get compiled to the same code? Do you think one is more readable than the other in some cases?
hey guys i have a question regarding amzi prolog with eclipse,
Im running a .pro file which executes a breadth first search and if queue gets too long,
the following error message appears:
system_error 1021 Control stack full.
Compile code or increase .cfg
parameter 'control'
If so, how may i run the compiled code under eclipse? I've tried running the project but the listener just ends without accepting any queries....?
I copied the examples folder from scala-2.7.7.final-devel-docs to the src folder of a scala project.
But the source files will not compiled unless I change them manually. "Project/Build automatically" is checked.
I'm using the Scala Eclipse Plugin 2.7.7-final
How can I achieve that this works like in java projects?
I was told that the assembly files made from C# and F# source is interoperable as they are compiled into .NET assembly.
Q1 : Does that mean that C# can call F# functions just like they are C# functions?
Q2 : How about the IronPython and IronRuby? I don't see any assembly dll from the IronPython/IronRuby.
Q3 : Is there any easy way to use IronPython/IronRuby functions from C# or F#?
