In this question, one of the Cassandra committers (the über helpful jbellis) says that Cassandra rows can be very large, and that column slicing operations are faster than row slices, hence my question: Is the row size still limited by available memory?

    I'm implementing serial key functionality in my application. User needs to enter at least 64bit number in order to register the application. Because typing number like 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 will take a while I want to compress it a bit. The first guess was to code this number hexadecimally but it still is quite long (0x7FFF FFFF FFFF FFFF). Is there any standard method in .NET to code this number alphanumerically using for example: digits, upper-case and lower-case characters?

My question is whether it is possible to make a CSS class that "inherits" from another CSS class (or more than one).     I have a large data.frame displaying some weird properties when plotted. I'd like to ask a question about it on Stackoverflow, to do that I'd like to write the data.frame out in a form that I can paste it into SO and somebody else can easily run it and have it back into a data.frame object again. Is there an easy way to accomplish this? Also, if it is really long, should I use paste bin instead of directly paste it here?

Another posting mentioned asynchronous pages but I am not sure if this would work or how to apply it. I executed it (it's in a stored proc) for over 12 minutes without it finishing.

    so, let's say i have the long/lat or address of many buildings can get satellite images, "street view", and perhaps 3d/perspective views of buildings. want to find: height, number of floors, floor area (max building footprint) of the building. about 200k buildings.
