  • loading crystal report in windows xp

    I have prepared a wpf application using visual studio 2010 in windows 7 which includes crystal report viewer. I tried to run the application on another windows 7 pc with CR runtime installed, it worked properly. I tried the same thing with windows xp but everytime the crystal report loads it gives an unhandled exception and the whole app stops working and closes. what to do in this case? or give me some suggestions how to make work with window-XP

  • How to make Android not to recycle my Bitmap until I don't need it?

    I'm getting drawing cache of the view, that is set as contentView to the Activity. Then I set new content view to the activity and pass that drawing cache to it. But Android recycles my bitmaps and I'm getting this exception: 06-13 01:58:04.132: E/AndroidRuntime(15106): java.lang.RuntimeException: Canvas: trying to use a recycled bitmap android.graphics.Bitmap@40e72dd8 Any way to fix it? I had an idea to extend Bitmap class, but it's final. Why GC is recycling it?

    I'm using Licensed componentone product in my ASP.NET application and spcefically i use C1WebReport1 control from the product.while upgrading C1WebReport1 control from version 2.5.20072.239 to 2.6.20093.53207,i get the error message as "Could not load file or assembly 'C1.Web.C1WebReport.2, Version=2.6.20093.53207, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=594a0605db190bb9' or one of its dependencies.     I followed the instructions for setting up postgresql from this site All seems to go fine until I try: createuser --superuser myname -U postgres I get the following exception: createuser: could not connect to database postgres: could not connect to server: No such file or directory Is the server running locally and accepting connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"? For the life of me I can't figure out how to resolve this. Any ideas???

  • Question about the ITextUndoHistory that gets returned from TryGetHistory

    Everytime the IWpfTextView's TextBuffer changes I am trying to get the history's redostack and undostack and simply checking the count. When doing this I am encountering a "Method not supported exception" when trying to access the two stacks. Am I retrieving the history incorrectly or does VS not want me seeing/editing the contents of the stacks? I can post the code if necessary... Thanks, Nick

  • RESTful resource not found. 404 or 204? Jersey returns 204 on null being returned from handler.

    If you are looking for /Resource/Id and that resource does not exist, I had always though that 404 was the appropriate response. However, when returning "null" from a Jersey handler, I get back a "204 No Content". I can likely work with either one, but am curious to others thoughts on this. To answer my own next question. To get jersey to return 404 you must throw an exception. if (a == null) throw new WebApplicationException(404);

They all can implicitly convert to a string public static implicit operator A(string sz_) { ... return sz; } I have code that does this object AClassWhichImplicitlyConvertsToString { ... ((KnownType)(String)AClassWhichImplicitlyConvertsToString).KnownFunc() } The problem is, AClassWhichImplicitlyConvertsToString isnt a string even though it can be typecast into one implicitly. I get a bad cast exception. How do i say its ok as long as the class has an operator to convert into a string?

I have a nullable boolean called boolIsAllowed and a if condition like so: if(boolIsAllowed.HasValue && boolIsAllowed.Value) { //do something } My question is this good code or would I be better separating it into a nested if statement? Will the second condition get checked if boolIsAllowed.HasValue is equal to false and then throw an exception? I hope this question is too stupid. Thanks in advance.
