• PHP pass variable after form is submitted

  I have a form that posts to process.php. Process.php send all the data to mysql then returns back to the page using: <?php header("Location: /campaigns"); ?> On the page it returns to I want to display a message saying form submitted. Can I post a variable to the Location: /campaigns. And use the variable to display the message (or modal box)? and if so what would be the best way to do it?

• multiple regionDidChangeAnimated calls - what gives?

  I have a MKMapView inside a UITableView as a custom cell (don't ask ;) - don't know if it matters really), for which I register a regionDidChangeAnimated delegate method. This method gets called three times when the UITableView is loaded - once with the actual region and then two more times with a region that is way off. In the simulator, I consistently get a region with center (+37.43997405, -97.03125000). On the device, it seems to depend on the location reported by the location manager, which initializes the map view. Why am I getting three regionDidChangeAnimated calls? And why are the center coordinates for the last two of them off? • Objective C: Can't find .js file in my mainBundle?!

  This is driving me crazy as I cannot figure out what in the world is going on. I load up files form you main bundle all the time, xml files, html files, etc. But, now I am trying to get the contents of a javascript file but it can never find it. I am using: NSData *jsData = [NSData dataWithContentsOfFile:[[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"global" ofType:@"js"]]; if (jsData) { NSLog(@"%@", jsData); } else { NSLog(@"Can't find file"); return; } Even checking the [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"global" ofType:@"js"] string returns null. My activity.js file is in my Resources folder, the exact location where my other files are location that work totally fine using the above method. Why can't it find my js file?

  Suppose I have an application a search for all gas stations within 10 mile radius of a certain location. However one side of this location is surrounded by a mountain range that you have to drive 50 miles to get around. You would not want to return results from the other side of the mountain. What are some good algorithms/techniques to deal with such a problem? I know with point to point searches you can use path costs but I am not sure what the technique is with radius searches.

• Linking error in OMNeT++ using Boost serialization library

  I'm very new to OMNeT++ and I'd like to use the serialization-library contained in the boost framework. However, when trying to use it, I get quite many errors such as: Description Resource Path Location Type undefined reference to `boost::archive::archive_exception::~archive_exception()' OmCCN line 36, external location: /home/alexander/UniBE/BT/simulator/boost-compiledLibs /include/boost/serialization/throw_exception.hpp C/C++ Problem . I guess the problem is that I didn't yet link the compiled library in OMNeT. I've had a look at the makefile but any changes there are worthless since it is generated automatically by makemake. Furthermore, trying to access the menu item 'makemake' in project properties OMNeT++ IDE throws an error (The currently displayed page contains invalid values). Can anyone give me a hint concerning what the error could cause or how to link the compiled library correctly? Any hints are very appreciated! cheers alex

  I have to create logic for generation unique number identifier for records in database. id, generated in database is a separate column. At this moment, when user calls "create record" action, I save new record, get its database id, generate record number using this id, then put it to the edit form. Using this way means that all entity fields should be nullable to save record to database. I don't like this way. I know that should be better way. Is there a better practice to generate unique number identifier? What is possibility of generating non-unique random numbers? Thank you

  I'm in the process of building an app and would prefer to have an in-app specific Settings bundle rather than make it available in the Settings application. I'm using NSUserDefaults class to save and retrieve them but would like to have the same Settings app look and feel. I wanted to use InAppSettingsKit or the llamasettings but don't know how to use the NSUserDefaults class. Those kits tell me how to create a .plist file and use their kits. All I need is use the Settings app look and feel while at the same time use NSUserDefaults class to save and retrieve values. Please help.

• Storing PDFs in MS Access Database using Forms

  I need to store PDF files in an Access database on a shared drive using a form. I figured out how to do this in tables (using the OLE Object field, then just drag-and-drop) but I would like to do this on a Form that has a Save button. Clicking the save button would store the file (not just a link) in the database. Any ideas on how to do this? EDIT: I am using Access 2003, and the DB will be stored on a share drive, so I'm not sure linking to the files will solve the problem.

  Is it possible to create an object container where changes can be tracked Said object is a complex nested object of data. (compliant with JSON). The wrapper allows you to get the object, and save changes, without specifically stating what the changes are Does there exist a design pattern for this kind of encapsulation Deep cloning is not an option since I'm trying to write a wrapper like this to avoid doing just that. The solution of serialization should only be considered if there are no other solutions.   I'm using localstorage to do gmail-style autosave on a webpage. So I basically save every 30 seconds to local, OK. The problem is recovery. I can't detect whether or not a user has crashed or incorrectly exited. So let's say the user crashed and loads up the form again, I can't just continue saving and overwriting the previous autosaves. I need to restore the previous save. But let's say the user didn't crash. He did everything correctly, but then used a different browser to edit the same file, so no new data to the previous browser's localstorage. He then loads up the file in the previous browser. The localstorage should not be restored in that case. Assuming there's no way to compare timestamps, how can I solve this problem? Thanks.

  I've just installed Mercurial on my Mountain Lion Max (10.8) and on my first commit I'm getting the error: abort: no username supplied (see "hg help config") I've seen a load of answers which suggest I need to create or copy a file form a certain location and paste it into another location and add my username and email to the document.
