  • I just cant get to open WSDL file in Eclipse J2EE Galileo

    As far as i can see, i have the option of creating web services and WSDL file in Galileo. Also, Looking here there is the Eclipse WSDL viewer : http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Introduction_to_the_WSDL_Editor How can i open a WSDL file in Eclipse ? If i just browse and open the file, nothing happens. Someone please help, this is really frustrating as i cannot seem to find any information online regarding this.

    On a company that I've worked, me and my colleagues, implemented a tailored document distribution system on top of XSL-FO. My task was to get the script to deliver the documents and configure the CUPS print server and the Fax server, so I never had the time to get my hands dirty on XSL-FO. I'm thinking of implementing something in the region that was made there but I'll need some templates to work with while testing. Where can I find some good tutorials on XSL-FO, since the fop process I've mastered already?

  • Web service request ignores basic WSDL XML element restrictions

    Hi all, I have encountered some difficulties while trying to validate an incoming soap message to a service I have running on JBoss AS (v. 5.1.0). In my code, I have explicitly set some fields to be required, eg: public class MyClass { @XmlElement(required=true, nillable=false) private List<myOtherObjects> myList; } This requirement is also reflected in the WSDL (note the lack of minOccurs="0"): <xs:element maxOccurs="unbounded" name="myList" type="tns:myOtherObjects" /> However, when I do a test soap message that has myList set to empty or null, these restrictions are completely ignored, forcing me to validate manually within the application logic on the service. I did some searching on the Internet and found out that, on WebLogic, the validation does not seem to be enabled by default, though it can be turned on by modifying the weblogic-webservices.xml file. (http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=783972&tstart=115) I’m wondering if there is something similar that I have to do with JBoss AS to enable automatic validation before the soap message reaches the service.     I'm having an issue where when I publish my modspecs to pdf (XSL-FO). My tables are having issues, where the content of a cell will overflow its column into the next one. How do I force a break on the text so that a new line is created instead? I can't manually insert zero-space characters since the table entries are programmatically entered.   • Eclipse PDE - Plug-in, Feature, and Product Versioning

    I am having much confusion over the process of upgrading version numbers in dependent plug-ins, features, and products in a fairly large eclipse workspace. I have made API changes to java code residing in an existing plug-in and thus requires an increase of the Major part of the version identifier. This plug-in serves as a dependency to a given feature, where the feature is later included in a product. From the documentation at http://wiki.eclipse.org/Version_Numbering, I understand (for the most part) when the proper number should be increased on the containing plug-in itself. However, how would this Major version number change on the plug-in affect dependent, "down-the-line" items (e.g., features, products)? For example, assume we have the typical "Hello World" setup as follows: Plug-in: com.example.helloworld, version 1.0.0 Feature: com.example.helloworld.feature, version 1.0.0 Product: com.example.helloworld.product, version 1.0.0 If I were to make an API change in the plug-in, this would require a version update to be that of 2.0.0. What would then be the version of the feature, 1.1.0? The same question can be applied for the product level as well (e.g., if the feature is 1.1.0 OR 2.0.0, what is the product version number)? I'm sure this is quite the newbie question so I apologize for wasting anyone's time and effort. I have searched for this type of content but all I am finding is are examples showing how to develop a plug-in, feature, product, and update site for the first time. The only other content related to my search has been developing feature patches and have not touched on the versioning aspect as much as I would prefer. I am having difficulty coming into (for the first time) an Eclipse RCP / PDE environment and need to learn the proper way and / or best practices for making such versioning updates and how to best reflect this throughout other dependent projects in the workspace.

  • Android - need UI help/advice

    I have been working on Android for the past couple of months getting to know how various components work. One area I am completely lacking in knowledge is any sort of User Interface or graphical interface creation. As an excercise I have been asked to break down the HTC call screen into what components it contains and rebuild as close as possible. Here is a picture of the HTC call screen: From my understanding the above UI has a custom title bar where "Meteor" and the call time appears. Then the main image in the middle block along with a text view showing the called party, in this case "Voice Mail" and the number. The bottom is then a custom view maybe with three custom buttons used within it. Would I be correct in my above assumptions? So the parts I should look into start programming are a custom title bar and a custom view with three custom buttons to place at the bottom? What layout would be reccomended? I hope this question is seen as relative to Stack Overflow, if it is not then I will delete it. Thanks in advance

  • Is there a way to replace the Eclipse JDT's code completion list with a multi-level tree?

    I know that the eclipse code completion widget can be customized to add new suggestions and even to change the order. I'm wondering whether there's a way to replace the current list format (or single-level tree, if this is a tree control) with a tree of multiple levels. Thus, for example, instead of selecting from a list of methods sorted by name, I will select from a category and then from a subcategory, and then from the items. I'm not too familiar with that part of the SDK, but I'd like to know if this is feasible. Thanks!

  • Can't finish Eclipse Plug-in Project Wizard when choosing RCP

    I'm trying create a RCP Application with Eclipse, but I can't get past the 'Content' screen of the New Plug-in Project Wizard. When I select 'yes' for "Rich Client Application, Would you like to create a rich client application" it disables the Next and the Finish Button. I first thought it is due to my target platform which is Eclipse 3.2, but changing that doesn't make a difference. On the top of the screen only one task is displayed (now warnings about missing or incompatible information): Enter the data required to generate the plug-in My Eclipse Version is 3.5 Any ideas?     In my other question I spotted a bug in the Eclipse wst.jsdt. If I want to fix this myself, what are the knowledge dependencies for doing so? My guess would be: Know how to use CVS Know how to use Bugzilla Know how to develop core libraries in Eclipse Know how to develop plugins in Eclipse Know how to develop for the wst.jsdt project I've never done the latter three, so I was just wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction. I already looked at a document for developing in JSDT, but I'm still a little uncertain about what I need to look for to develop for Eclipse, since it comes in various flavors/distros (i.e. WDT)

  • How to Deserialize Missing Fields To Nulls

    I am working on a .NET project where several versions of the same type of object have been created over the life of the project - most new versions add a field or two. However, now I am looking to mitigate problems for users with an old version. My goal is that when a user tries to open an old version of the serialized object with the new program, the program will automatically assign default values to the fields that are missing from the depreciated version of the file. For example, say I had a class with two boolean fields - RepeatSound and RepeatForever. The first version of the program doesn't know how to repeat forever, so it only saved RepeatSound: <anyType xsi:type="Sound"> <RepeatSound>true</RepeatSound> </anyType> but the new files look like this: <anyType xsi:type="Sound"> <RepeatSound>true</RepeatSound> <RepeatForever>true</RepeatForever> </anyType> My goal is that when I deserialize the first file in the new program that it will create the Sound object but simply default the value of RepeatForever to false. Right now trying to deserialize the first object would throw an exception. Thank you in advance for any responses

  • Spidermonkey pointing to a NSPR/DIST directory, HELP!

    Hey guys, I've been trying to cross-compile Spidermonkey and I am stuck with the problem wherein prtypes.h(NSPR) is unrecognizable. I alread triedy modifying Makefile.ref/config.mk/jsconfig.mk to point to a desired NSPR/DIS directory. I must have missed some basic steps because it still won't make things work. Do you have any ideas on how to properly modify the makefiles to point my spidermonkey to the right NSPR libraries? Thanks!

  • IntellIJ editor doesn't appear

    I updated my IntellIJ install to the latest version (11.1.4) and now the Editor window doesn't appear. Double-clicking on the file, jump-to-source, nothing happens. No error message, it just doesn't appear. If I double-click on an xml layout file the preview window works, but no Editor window. Have installed and reinstalled; went back to an earlier version and it doesn't work there either. I'm at a loss. Any ideas? Update: Editor works if I create a new project.
