  Hi, I want to compile a project (with CruiseControl) not only if its source changes, but also if some dependencies change. example: I got 3 folders: c:\myProject\src (my source folder) c:\dependency1\src (source code of dependency 1) c:\dependency2\output (dll of dependency 2) I want to compile my project in cruisecontrol if anything in one of these folders change. • Filter entire NSDictionaries out of NSArray based on multiple keys

  Hi, I have an NSArray of NSDictionary objects which I would like to be able to return a new array of NSDictionaries from, where every NSDictionary has "Area == North" (for example). The closest example I have found so far is http://stackoverflow.com/questions/958622/using-nspredicate-to-filter-an-nsarray-based-on-nsdictionary-keys but this just returns the unique values for a given key, not the dictionary that has that key. Is there any way to perform a similar operation, and to return the entire dictionary?

• SQL string manipulation to return multiple rows

  I'm an experienced programmer, but relatively new to SQL. We're using Oracle 10 and 11. I have a system in place using SQL that combines actual rows with virtual rows (e.g. "SELECT 1 from DUAL") doing unions and intersects as needed, which all seems to work. My problem is that I need to combine this system which is expecting rows of data, with new data that will have the data in (let's say for simplification) comma delimited strings. So I think what I need is a way to convert a string like: "5,6,7,8" into 4 rows with one column each, with "5" in the first row, "6" in the second, etc. In other languages, I'd do a "Split" with comma as the delimiter. Of course, the data won't always have 4 entries. There's a second question, but I'll ask it separately. But I suspect it will simplify things, if possible, if the solution to the above could be used as a table in another SQL statement (i.e., to work with my existing system). Thanks for any help.

A typical child specification is as follows: {my_server, {my_server, start_link, [123]}, permanent, 5000, worker, [my_server]} No problems so far.   I've got several models that I'd like to relate together hierarchically. For simplicity's sake, let's say I've got these three: class Group < ActiveRecord::Base acts_as_tree has_many :users end class User < ActiveRecord::Base acts_as_tree belongs_to :group has_many :posts end class Post < ActiveRecord::Base acts_as_tree belongs_to :user end Under the current acts_as_tree, each node can individually can relate hierarchically to other nodes provided they are of the same type. What I'd like is to remove this restriction on type identity, so that SomePost.parent could have a User or a Post as its' parent, and that SomeUser.parent could have another user or a group as its parent. Any thoughts?

  I have a dimension (SiteItem) has two important facts: perUserClicks perBrowserClicks however, within this dimension, I have groups of dimensions based on an attribute column (let's call the groups AboveFoldItems, LeftNavItems, OnTheFlyItems, etc.) each have more facts that are specific to that group: AboveFoldItems: eyeTime, loadTime LeftNavItems: mouseOverTime OnTheFlyItems: doesn't have any extra, but may in the future Is the following fact table schema ok? DateKey SessionKey SiteItemKey perUserClicks perBrowserClicks eyeTime loadTime mouseOverTime It seems a little wasteful since only some columns pertain to some dimension keys (the irrelevant facts are left NULL). But... this seems like it would be a common problem, so there should be a common solution for this, right?

  I'm making an iPhone app with Appcelerator Titanium and I want to share the source code with a few more programmers. I will use a SCM repository which at some point might be open to the general public. Now my question is, are there any files which I should not commit to the repository? In project root I can tell that tiapp.xml and mainfest are telling the app GUID, is there any reason for me to keep that private? (this value is also shown many places in the build/ folder) I've added everything in the Resources/ folder. If I skip the build/iphone/build/ folder, will developers still be able to build the project? Side question - When another programmer downloads this code, it seems to me that (s)he has to have the same directory structure as I do? Any workarounds for this?

• A better way to delete a list of elements from multiple tables

  I know this looks like a 'please write the code' request, but some basic pointer/principles for doing this the right way should be enough to get me going. It is not particularly efficient as you can see and I would like to speed it up. The PHP script gathers the ids to remove from the tables with the following query: $query = "SELECT id, stop_time FROM RunHistory WHERE config_id = $configId AND save = 0 AND NOT(stop_time IS NULL) ORDER BY stop_time"; It keeps the last five run entries and deletes all the rest. So using this query to bring back all the IDs, it determines which ones to delete and keeps the 'newest' five. After gathering the IDs it sends them to the stored procedure to remove them from the associated tables. I'm not very good with SQL, but I ASSUME that using an IN statement and not joining these tables together is probably the least efficient way I can do this, but I don't know enough to ask anything but "how do I do this better?" If possible, I would like to do this all in my stored procedure using a query to gather all the IDs except for the five 'newest', then delete them. Another twist, run entries can be marked save (save = 1) and should not be deleted. • PHP: passing GET between multiple pages

  I'm building a set of pages where I have a number of GET variables and it is often valuable to keep passing it along to the next page. This leads to ugly code where I have to have "if this $_GET variable is set, dynamically add it to this hyperlink". This is, in many senses, not a problem; but I had the thought "there must be a better way to do this", I mean after all basically all I want is to take the '?' and everything after it and append it to the links on that page, it would seem this should be rather simple (or at least possible to do in a for loop). I tried google searching but couldn't find anything, so I figured I'd see if any of you happen to know. Why not use SESSION? Because these pages need to be capable of being bookmarked. Thank you.

  Hi, I have the toggle in my menu Working successfully for the two links that I have within it. Because the top link once toggled covers the other link, there is no problem. But since the link beneath it leaves the top link exposed, a user could click that and now have two toggled items open and pretty much stacked on top of each other. Is there a way for me to check if the other toggled item is open and if so, close it?   Hello, Sometimes I break long conditions in IFs to several lines. The most obvious way to do this is: if (cond1 == 'val1' and cond2 == 'val2' and cond3 == 'val3' and cond4 == 'val4'): do_something Isn't very very appealing visually, because the action blends with the conditions. However, it is the natural way using correct Python indentation of 4 spaces. Edit: By the way, for the moment I'm using: if ( cond1 == 'val1' and cond2 == 'val2' and cond3 == 'val3' and cond4 == 'val4'): do_something Not very pretty, I know :-) Can you recommend an alternative way ?
