• JQuery Autocomplete only suggesting first row

  I'm doing research using JQuery's Autocomplete plugin and Google Maps' API. What I have so far is located here. I'm using Asp.net MVC to generate the list of potential address matches (limited to US addresses only) and presenting them as a pipe-delimeted list to Autocomplete, which is supposed to be .spliting them up and suggesting them to the user. The problem I'm having (besides a stubborn IE-only javascript error, which I'll break into another question), is that only the first result is suggested. This page clearly shows two results, yet typing "3118" into the textbox produces only the Galax Dr result. How can I get Automplete to produce both results?

I will eventually have approx. 50 divs i want to toggle, and instead of creating a new function for each one, is there a way i can create a class and have it read unique ID's for each div? • jQuery to PHP: no input... kinda

  Hi all, I'm using jQuery to post HTTP requests to my PHP page (Apache/Linux, if that matters). I carefully validate on the client so that empty requests are not sent. However on occasions, I'd get an empty request like this: - $_POST collection empty ($_GET collection also empty); - Content-Length is nonzero (a number below 100, consistent with a valid POST from my script) - Content-Type properly application/x-www-form-urlencoded - reading from php://input yields an empty string It's as if $_POST is somehow eaten on the way. I checked the code very carefully - I don't do anything to the contents of $_POST. Any ideas, please?

• jquery issue, disable on mouseenter queue

  When you mouseenter .li_group class it does a slide down effect on 1 single <li> tag, everything goes smoothly, but during the delay if you take your mouse off and on .li_group it "queues" the effect and slides the li down, delay, slides it down again etc etc... • Seeking to zoom in on an image, slowly, on page load, using Jquery

  Hello, I am looking to give the impression of zooming in from a large image to a detailed area of that image, over time, when the page loads - using javascript (jquery, preferably). I have been given the following flash site as a reference (action happens just after title fades in): http://www.delicatessennyc.com/ Not sure if this is even possible. I know I could switch out the large image for a smaller one - but my boss is hellbent of achieving this flash-type action using javascript. Please note, I've searched the plugins and I've not found anything like what I'm looking for. And I'm so new to this type of coding that cobbling it together from scratch seems daunting.   I want to use document.createDocumentFragment() to create an optimized collection of HTML elements that contain ".data" coming from jQuery (v 1.4.2), but I'm kind of stuck on how to get the data to surface from the HTML elements.   Hi guys, i'm adding and removing <li> elements with jQuery, that are shown horizontally with the following style: #my_ul { list-style: none; } #my_ul li { float: left; margin: 0px 15px; } For example, if i add four <li> to an <ul> and then i decide to remove the second one, after it has been removed the other two <li> elements on the right immediately move to the left. What i'd like to do is to animate this behaviour, with the remaining <li> elements that softly moves to the left. Any tips? Thanks

Any idea on why the repeater is causing this?   Hey all Basically I want to replicate the page changing effect found here, at http://timvandamme.com/ But instead of using #values I want to use PHP includes, mainly because I want the site to be as uber-seo-friendly as possible... but still have this nice effect. So is there a way of doing this? I have a main index file which includes other php files in the centre using the usual 'GET' method, so my pages look like: "index.php?page=about" In my jQuery code I want to have a declaration where if I click the navigation, the content scrolls up, then once the relevant PHP file has loaded, have the content scroll back down and show the new page content (whilst also of navigated to the new page in the address bar, so if the user clicks the back button in their browser, they return to the previous page). I know how to code the scrolling bits, it's just literally the ajax loading includes / page navigation parts I'm struggling to work out :\ Any help would be MUCH appreciated!!! Thanks in advance. It seems easier to pass around the string and convert into the native form I need, than dealing with json as I don't need to change anything once it is generated. • Not all parameters get sent in jquery ajax call

  I have an ASP page which displays a text box when it loads. It takes an input number, send it to the server through post back, and then displays some record in a grid view. After a number is input into the box, the server fetches some data from a database and add records to the grid view. It also contains a link column, whose URL is set to "#", so that the page isn't redirected when it is clicked. Now I want to bind a jquery "click" event to that link. How can I do that ? I have tried that to do myself but failed, because it is not available when the DOM is loaded (since it only contains rows when a number is input through the box), and is being modified through ASP.NET Ajax post back.

• Jquery ajax request error callback is called instead of success even after response recieved from server

  Hi, i'm loading, using the JQuery ajax() method, an external page with both html and javascript code: <script type="text/javascript" src="myfile.js"></script> <p>This is some HTML</p> <script type="text/javascript"> alert("This is inline JS"); </script> and setting the results into a div element, using the html() method. While the html() method properly evaluates the inline JS code, it doesn't download and evaluate the external JS file "myfile.js". Any tip for this issue?

• jQuery iframe overlay with flash closing issue

  Hello, I have a site that has a jQuery overlay, which contains an iframe, which pulls in another site that has flash in it. One of the buttons in the flash has editable parameters in xml, and I can change where the link points to. I want this button to close the overlay, but I can't quite figure out how to get it to work. I have tried the following: closeSection(); and parent.closeSection(); and window.parent.closeSection(); None of which work. Though the last two come close. They seem to close the flash, as the iframe just goes blank. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?
