• get image from iphone, using phonegap camera api

  I'm new to Xcode and iPhone apps. I want to select an image from iPhone (camera or library) and send to php via ajax. http://wiki.phonegap.com/iPhone:-Camera-API I'm using the phonegap framework, Xcode iPhone SDK version 3.1.x. On clicking button it calls function with parameter 0 or 1, but it does not initialize camera or display the library. I checked the simulator virtual phone; there is no icon for camera, but the pictures album is there. I used the same code as in the above link. What do I do, what and how to check? any other functions to get photos using phonegap?

• Batch break up after call other batch file

  i have the problem, that my batch process breaking up each time after call a other batch file. The batch files are used to run a make process out from IBM Rhapsody. There convert the call from Rhapsody to the Visual Studio tools. So nmake will be called from the batch after make different settings. The scripts aren’t written completely from me, I only adapt theme to run under both windows architecture versions, x86 and x64. The first script (vs2005_make.bat) will be called from Rhapsody and run to the “call” statement. The second script (Vcvars_VisualStudio2005.bat) runs to the end. But the first script isn’t resume working, at this point the process break up without a error message. I'm not very familiar with batch files, this is the first time I make more than simple console commands in a batch file. So I hope I have given all information’s which needed, otherwise ask me.   I have an NSImage pointer from a platform SDK, and I need to load it into Qt's QImage class. To make things easier, I can create a QImage from a CGImageRef by using QPixmap as an intermediate format, like this: CGImageRef myImage = // ... get a CGImageRef somehow. QImage img = QPixmap::fromMacCGImageRef(myImage).toImage(); However, I cannot find a way to convert from an NSImage to a CGImageRef. Several other people have had the same problem, but I have yet to find a solution. There is the CGImageForProposedRect method, but I can't seem to get it to work. I'm currently trying this (img is my NSImage ptr): CGImageRef ir = [img CGImageFirProposedRect:0:0:0]; Any ideas?

  So far, no Delphi version supports SOAP 1.2 clients or server. I have tried for weeks to make it works, but every time a new problem, with VS/C# I could do the same, and make works in 3 days, but I need to do with Delphi 2009. But I'm wondering what choice else do I have, which library/component full support SOAP 1.2?   I've been working on a project for a few weeks now and today is the last day before it goes to client (typical).   Hello I am starting out as an Android Developer, and I would like to know if there are any Computer vision libraries or Augmented Reality libraries for the Android SDK , as I am planning to use these libraries for a mobile app. I have read that if I download the NDK, I might be able to "import/use" the C openCV, and ARtoolkit libraries, but I am wondering if this is possible, or if there is a better and easier way of using these tools. • Android AVD With GoogleApi, Not Getting Network Connection

  I am working on a Windows XP Machine. When running AVDs out of Eclipse, I am getting "No Network Connection" when I am plugged into my company's network and using an AVD that was built with the "Google APIs by Google Inc., Android API 7, revision 1". If I use this same AVD (Google API) and connect to the internet through a Verizon Wireless card, the AVD gets an Internet Connection. If I use an AVD built with "SDK Platform Android 2.1, API 7, revision 1", and connect through my company's network, the AVD gets an Internet Connection. Any ideas what might be blocking this? I am guessing it is something in my company's network, but why only with the AVD created with the Google API?

  I am trying to compile a program I took off a cd from a book that uses directx to render 3d objects. when i press compile I get the following error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'dxerr9.h': No such file or directory I am using VC++ 2008 Express Edition and i am running off of Vista. I went to the following folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Include and I was not able to find the header there. Unless I am looking in the wrong place. When I initially installed DX sdk I allowed the installer to put everything in a default location. I am not sure If I am looking in the right places or what.

• Best Practise for Writing a POS System

  Hi, I'm putting together a basic POS system in C# that needs to print to a receipt printer and open a cash drawer. Do I have to use the Microsoft Point of Service SDK? I've been playing around with printing to my Samsung printer using the Windows driver that came with it, and it seems to work great. I assume though that other printers may not come with Windows drivers and then I would be stuck? Or would I be able to simply use the Generic/Text Driver to print to any printer that supports it? For the cash drawer I would need to send codes directly to the COM port which is fine with me, if it saves me the hassle of helping clients setup OPOS drivers on there systems.   I need to generate a CTL for use with IIS7. I generated a CTL file using MakeCTL (on Win2k3 SDK) and put only my own RootCA certificate in the CTL. However, when I then use adsutil.vbs to set my website to use this CTL, I get: ErrNumber: -2147023584 (0x80070520) Error Trying To SET the Property: SslCtlIdentifier I'm using adsutil.vbs like this: cscript adsutil.vbs set w3svc/2/SslCtlIdentifier where is the friendly name of the CTL The problem is, I am not able to set a friendly name. At the end of the wizard it says "Friendly Name: ". In IIS6 I can create a CTL with a friendly name (showing in Certificates MMC) but if I export it from there, when I import it, it no longer has a friendly name. Can anyone show me how to do it please?

• NSURLConnection and Basic HTTP Authentication

  I need to invoke an initial GET HTTP request with Basic Authentication. This would be the first time the request is sent to the server and I already have the username & password so there's no need for a challenge from the server for authorization. First question: 1) Does NSUrlConnection have to be set as synchronous to do Basic Auth? According to the answer on this post, it seems that you can't do Basic Auth if you opt for the async route. 2) Anyone know of any some sample code that illustrates Basic Auth on a GET request without the need for a challenge response? Apple's documentation shows an example but only after the server has issued the challenge request to the client. I'm kind of new the networking portion of the SDK and I'm not sure which of the other classes I should use to get this working. (I see the NSURLCredential class but it seems that it is used only with NSURLAuthenticationChallenge after the client has requested for an authorized resource from the server).

• Android: Ringer mode changed to silent doesn't stop the phone vibrating

  I'm trying to change the ringer mode of the phone to RINGER_MODE_SILENT when a call is incoming by using the following lines of code. AudioManager am = (AudioManager) this.getSystemService(Context.AUDIO_SERVICE); am.setRingerMode(AudioManager.RINGER_MODE_SILENT); While the phone stops ringing it continue to vibrate although the documentation of RINGER_MODE_SILENT says it should also stop vibrating. I'm using the SDK 1.6 UPDATE: As I didn't find a solution yet, I tried to deactivate the vibration settings manually. am.setVibrateSetting(AudioManager.VIBRATE_TYPE_RINGER, AudioManager.VIBRATE_SETTING_ONLY_SILENT ); But this also doesn't prevent the phone form vibrating when a call is incoming. Any ideas?

• BSD Sockets don't behave in a iPhone 3G environment

  I noticed that many times while developing for an iPhone 3G, BSD socket functions will simply fail. I also noticed at the time, the 3G antenna wasn't even ON, nor was there WIFI Access to back up the network call (So it seems ridiculous that it doesn't turn on to support the network request).. This information was verified with an app from Apple in the SDK called Connectivity Test, or something of the sort. Basically if you load Safari or something, then quickly load up the App it would be fine.. Of course that's not ideal. Apparently, to apple, gethostbyname() or something of the sort is by no means a reason to turn on the Antenna. I contacted Apple about this, and they said that the BSD functions do not switch the Antenna on, but calling all of the Objective-C CFNetwork functions do. I want portable code, so is there a way to keep my existing BSD setup? I really dislike coding in Objective-C, so if anyone knows a work around, that would be awesome.

• Qt: how to build QML apps for Symbian devices?

  I am pretty new to Qt and I have just started looking at QML. There are some sample applications included with the Nokia Qt SDK for Symbian and I have managed to load them into Qt Creator and run them using the QML Viewer application on the desktop. I would like to try some of the samples out on a device, but I am totally clueless as to how I would go about getting the qml files to run on a device. Are they first packaged into a sis file and installed or is the folder simply copied over? If so how is the app started on the device? Having done some googling the only information I seem to be able to find says that the Qt libraries available for Symbian devices at the moment is only 4.6.3 whereas version 4.7.0 is required for QML apps? Does this mean that I won't be able to run QML apps on a device at the moment? (Device is S60 5th Edition) Any help or pointers in the right direction for more information would be much appreciated.

Basically my end output should be a shared library (dylib) that can be consumed by a Objective-C application. When trying to compile, I get the following error.. 'memset' was not declared in scope. Since my codebase uses a lot of external 3rd party codebases, I thought i'll include or to resolve this, but I tried both and even that didn't work. Does it have something to do with the SDK? Am currently running 10.5 with GCC 4.2 Need help with setting up the Target properly. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
