• Trouble with client side validation using Struts 2. Xml based validation rules not recognized.

  Hi, This is my first post to ask a question on stack overflow and my issue is that when I don't see a client side validation error message when I don't enter any values for that field even when it is configured as required. • IE 6 and 7 background inheritance problem, how do I solve this?

  When I'm trying to create a rounded shaded box it works fine on FF and IE8 but on IE6 and IE7, any div inside the box gets the last background but if you set that all divs on the level where there should not be a background have background:none it doesn't show any background on the level that comes before *The code is pointing to live images on Image Shack so you can save and run that it will work normally on Firefox but you can see what happen on IE6/7. • Drupal menu with submenus only shows submenu of current page. NOT a CSS problem

  This is not a CSS problem. The HTML isn't there. I need the menu, with submenus to exist in HTML on EACH page. Right now, the submenu only exists in HTML for the submenu related to the page being currently viewed. Here's an example of what it SHOULD be like. <ul id="menu"> <li>Page1 <ul class="sub"> <li>sub1.1</li> <li>sub1.2</li> <li>sub1.3</li> <li>sub1.4</li> </ul> </li> <li>Page2 <ul class="sub"> <li>sub2.1</li> <li>sub2.2</li> <li>sub2.3</li> <li>sub2.4</li> </ul> </li> <li>Page3 <ul class="sub"> <li>sub3.1</li> <li>sub3.2</li> <li>sub3.3</li> <li>sub3.4</li> </ul> </li> </ul> But here is what is actually happening (say I'm currently viewing Page2): <ul id="menu"> <li>Page1</li> <li>Page2 <ul class="sub"> <li>sub2.1</li> <li>sub2.2</li> <li>sub2.3</li> <li>sub2.4</li> </ul> </li> <li>Page3</li> </ul> Additionally, and maybe this doesn't have anything to do with it, but whichever list item <li> element is relative to the page i am currently on is given these classes expanded active-trail and any other <li> is given collapsed class. The classes aren't really so much of an issue, the problem is just that the content (html) isn't there. Does anyone have any idea what's going on here. I feel like I've been digging in the Drupal Admin menus forever now. I feel like it's got to have a PHP solution in the template file or something, but I don't know Drupal super well at this point.   This is strange and any alternative method to what I want to accomplish is welcome. My app uses the jqgrid 3.5.3 and I need to disable a select list on my edit form. When I do so using the code displayed below it breaks the edit form - meaning I can not cancel or submit it. Thanks. This code is in the edit options array of the navGrid method. The the dropdown is the 'serv_descr' field. The others are text boxes and don't pose a problem.   Hello, I am trying to simplify a process where I currently use my hand calculations of X & Y Co-Ordinates of each value. Which works fine, but is causing me a lot of pain as I have to do quite a number of PDF's. I know that I can open a PDF and insert "input fields" within Adobe Acrobat Pro, which it would be great if I could use PHP to connect to those input fields and insert a value from a PHP Form. WORKFLOW:: PHP FORM PHP PROCESSING ENGINE TO FINAL PDF WITH FORM VALUES IN THE LOCATION OF THE ADOBE INPUT FIELDS.   Hello, Recently I'm working on a refactor project from asp to asp.net 3.5. There are lots of .html file uses .inc file for the header and footer in the old site, and needed to be converted to .aspx uses master page. My problem is, for search engine and for bookmark those old pages are all gone Therefore I need to redirect the old .html pages to .aspx. I've been trying to find a way to fix that, finally i found ISAPI_Rewrite might be the tool that i can use. After a few hours reading the document on the site, i still have no clue how to write the syntax at all :( Could anyone give a some examples please? ex. rewrite all urls under www.example.com/en to www.example.com/ rewrite all .html to .aspx The server is using Windows 2000, IIS6, ISAPI_Rewrite 3 Lite Thanks in advance ben :)

• Setting the value (selected option) of a dijit.form.Select widget

  I have a dijit.form.Select widget. It's tied to a data store, if that matters. It's filled with several options already. All I want to do is programmatically set its value. I can get its value using myWidget.attr('value') but if I try to do myWidget.attr('value', 5) for example (where 5 is one of the valid values), all it does is reset the widget to select the very first option, no matter what value I give it. This seems to be a bug, and there aren't any tests or documentation which show how to accomplish what I want to. But is there some way, even if it's a dirty hack? I'm using Dojo 1.4.0. Note that dijit.form.Select is the new name for dojox.form.DropDownSelect. edit: I even tried resetting the widget with all new options, but it ignores the option which has selected = true and just selects the first option. There must still be a way though.

  I have a Project model and it has some text attributes, one is summary. I have some projects that have html tags in the summary and I want to convert that to plain text. I have this method that has a regex that will remove all html tags. def strip_html_comments_on_data self.attributes.each{|key,value| value.to_s.gsub!(/(<[^>]+>|&nbsp;|\r|\n)/,"")} end I also have a before_save filter before_save :strip_html_comments_on_data The problem is that the html tags are still there after saving the project. • Codeigniter: How to build an edit form that uses form validation and re-population?

  Hi There, I have a simple form in codeigniter that I wish to use for the editing or records. I am at the stage where my form is displayed and the values entered into the corresponding input boxes. This is done by simply setting the values of said boxes to whatever they need to be in the view: <input type="text" value="<?php echo $article['short_desc'];?>" name="short_desc" /> But, if I wish to use form_validation in codeigniter then I have to add thos code to my mark-up: <input value="<?php echo set_value('short_desc')?>" type="text" name="short_desc" /> So not the value can be set with the set_value function should it need to be repopulated on error from the post data. Is there a way to combine the two so that my edit form can show the values to be edited but also re-populate? Thanks

• Always handle the PreviewKeyDown event in a base form

  We need to handle this event in the base form, regardless of which controls currently have focus. We have a couple of global key commands that need to work regardless of control focus. This works by handling the PreviewKeyDown event in the form normally. When we add a user control to the form, the event no longer fires. Am I missing something trivial here? Anonymous type members must be declared with a member assignment, simple name or member access. It works when I use data_details, but I guess it need to be starting with "data-" as per the spec. My questions: Is there any way to get this working and use HTML5 data attributes with Html.ActionLink or similar Html helpers ? Is there any other alternative mechanism to attach custom data to an element? This data is to be processed later by JS.

But when I use an Ajax form, and I update the fields of the ajax form. After the client validation dosen't work. Exactly: the ajax postback is not fired, but the validation message is not shown. If there are no active MDIChildren, I want the buttons disabled. When I launch a child form, I want to test that child form for data. If it is a blank form, I want the buttons to remain disabled.
