• Making JQuery LightBox Plugin work with multiple galleries

  Hi guys... I'm trying to make this jquery plugin = http://leandrovieira.com/projects/jquery/lightbox/ work with multiple galleries on the same page. The problem is, everytime I click on a picture from a certain gallery, I get all the pictures from all the galleries on the same page. Let's say i've got 2 galleries of 6 photos each. If I click on a pic from gallery 1, I will see the pics from gallery 2 as well. I've tried something like this to make it work but no success: <script type="text/javascript"> $(function(){ $('div.gallery-6').each(function() { $(this).find('a.lightbox').lightBox(); }); }); </script> Unfortunately, it doesn't work!!! What's the workaround for that? Once again, what I'm trying to accomplish is to be able to view the pictures in their proper gallery. I don't want all the pics to be treated as one gallery. • How to Use 3 Monitors

  Right now my setup has a nice big 24" flatscreen in the center, and a 19" flatscreen to the left. And a big gaping hole on the right. I have a 3rd monitor to put there, but I'm not sure how to get the computer to recognize it. Do I need a graphics card with 3 ports? Or can I span the monitors over non SLI-Linked graphics cards? Is it possible to plug my 3rd monitor into the on-board VGA port and have it work?

  Hi. The question may seem vague, but let me explain it. Suppose we have a function f(x,y,z ....) and we need to find its value at the point (x1,y1,z1 .....). The most trivial approach is to just replace (x,y,z ...) with (x1,y1,z1 .....). Now suppose that the function is taking a lot of time in evaluation and I want to parallelize the algorithm to evaluate it. Obviously it will depend on the nature of function, too. So my question is: what are the constraints that I have to look for while "thinking" to parallelize f(x,y,z...)? If possible, please share links to study.

• Problem with setContentBorderThickness:forEdge: not actually setting the value

  Hi! I've been struggling for a while with this one; I'll try to explain it here as simply as possible. Consider this MySQL table: +----------+-----------+---------+--------+ |status_id |session_id |pilot_id |present | +----------+-----------+---------+--------+ |1 |61 |901 |1 | |2 |63 |901 |1 | |3 |62 |901 |0 | |4 |62 |902 |1 | |5 |63 |903 |1 | +----------+-----------+---------+--------+ Both session_id and pilot_id are foreign keys making reference to a primary key in another table. The same pilot_id can be associated with different session_id, but every pilot_id-session_id combination is unique. I need to make an HTML table (in PHP) that would display the data like this: +----------+---------+---------+---------+ | |61 |62 |63 | +----------+---------+---------+---------+ |901 |X | |X | |902 | |X | | |903 | | |X | +----------+---------+---------+---------+ Hence, rows are pilot_id and columns are session_id. When a pilot_id-session_id combination has a present value of 1, the corresponding cell should be checked. (ie. when the row-combination is zero or the combination does not exist in the MySQL table, nothing should appear in the HTML table) Phew. Any ideas? Thanks!

Used in the above example this would be similar to this: 'http://www.example.com/product.php?page=[1-3]&sortOn=sellprice' So far i have been unable to reference this correctly.   I'm in the progress of making a shopping cart in PHP. To check if a user has selected multiple products, I put everything in an array ($contents). When I output it, I get something like "14,14,14,11,10". I'd like to have something like "3 x 14, 1 x 11, 1 x 10". What is the easiest way to do that? I really have no clue how to do it. I would like to remove all the prices namely: SGD$45.32 Price: SGD$45.32 SGD$45 I have this expression thats supposed to match the 3 groups: $pattern = '/(Price.+\sSGD\$\d+\.\d{2})(SGD\$\d+\.\d{2})(SGD\$\d+)/'; $new_snippet = preg_replace($pattern, '', $snippet);` But apparently its not working. It works if I replace a single group at a time. But, I'd like to know if it possible to replace all possible matching groups with a single statement. Tried preg_match_all($pattern, $snippet, $matches); to show matches based on the above pattern, but no matches are found if I put all 3 groups together.

  We have several .NET applications developed in .NET 3.5 (Windows services, web applications, and WCF services) in different servers. I'd like to migrate to .NET 4.0 and use VS.NET 2010. Does VS.NET 2010 compiles to .NET 3.5 to avoid full simultaneous migration, being able to stop using VS.NET 2008 but maintaining some applications in the previous version? Can I uninstall the .NET < 4.0 runtime and have only .NET 4.0 in my servers? Does it run applications compiled to previous framework versions?

Because of reasons beyond my control I'm using Perl 5.8.8 so I can't use the smart match operator. TIA

• Waiting on multiple asynchronous calls to complete before continuing

  So, I have a page that loads and through jquery.get makes several requests to populate drop downs with their values. $(function() { LoadCategories($('#Category')); LoadPositions($('#Position')); LoadDepartments($('#Department')); LoadContact(); }; It then calls LoadContact(); Which does another call, and when it returns it populates all the fields on the form. The problem is that often, the dropdowns aren't all populated, and thus, it can't set them to the correct value. What I need to be able to do, is somehow have LoadContact only execute once the other methods are complete and callbacks done executing. But, I don't want to have to put a bunch of flags in the end of the drop down population callbacks, that I then check, and have to have a recursive setTimeout call checking, prior to calling LoadContact(); Is there something in jQuery that allows me to say, "Execute this, when all of these are done."?

• Google SpreadSheets - When using a time trigger in code, some cells getting '#N/A' value

  I've created a Google spreadsheet with imported data on one cell, extracting specific string to another cell and pasting the data in a table with a trigger for every 2 hours. Now everything works perfectly when running the script manually but when logged out and waiting for the cells to fill, sometimes the pasted cell getting "#N/A" value.   The textbook examples of multiple unpacking assignment are something like: import numpy as NP M = NP.arange(5) a, b, c, d, e = M # so of course, a = 0, b = 1, etc. M = NP.arange(20).reshape(5, 4) # numpy 5x4 array a, b, c, d, e = M # here, a = M[0,:], b = M[1,:], etc. (ie, a single row of M is assigned each to a through e) (My Q is not numpy specfic; indeed, i would prefer a pure python solution.) W/r/t the piece of code i'm looking at now, i see two complications on that straightforward scenario: i usually won't know the shape of M; and i want to unpack a certain number of items (definitely less than all items) and i want to put the remainder into a single container so back to the 5x4 array above, what i would very much like to be able to do is, for instance, assign the first three rows of M to a, b, and c respectively (exactly as above) and the rest of the rows (i have no idea how many there will be, just some positive integer) to a single container, all_the_rest = []. I'm not sure if i have explained this clearly; in any event, if i get feedback i'll promptly edit my Question.

  Im trying to make a simple survey in php I have a set of radio buttons on a page called sja.php that sends its to sjamail.php page the problem is that when i go to get $answer = $_POST['ans']; I can't seen to do anything like echo "$answer"; but if i were to throw some logic at it like if ($answer == "ans1") { echo 'Correct'; } else { echo 'Incorrect'; } IT will display correct or incorrect so why is it i can't access the value of the radio button ans?

  I'm working in an ASP.NET 3.5 MVC application where i've got a view with multiple forms in it. Form 1 contains information about products and will form a shoppingcart with a remove button. When i use the submit button on the second form everything seems to be submitted and the action in the controller for the first form is trying to handle the request. That is where the error occurce because the information in the viewmodel isn't corresponding to what is being expected.   I just hit something I think is inconsistent, and wanted to see if I'm doing something wrong, if I'm an idiot, or... MailMessage msg = new MailMessage(); msg.To.Add("[email protected]"); msg.To.Add("[email protected]"); msg.To.Add("[email protected]"); msg.To.Add("[email protected]"); Really only sends this email to 1 person, the last one. To add multiples I have to do this: msg.To.Add("[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected]"); I don't get it. I thought I was adding multiple people to the "To" address collection, but what I was doing was replacing it. I think I just realized my error -- to add one item to the collection, use .To.Add(new MailAddress("[email protected]")) If you use just a string, it replaces everything it had in its list. Ugh. I'd consider this a rather large gotcha! Since I answered my own question, but I think this is of value to have in the stackoverflow archive, I'll still ask it. Maybe someone even has an idea of other traps that you can fall into.

INSERT fails. The statement has been terminated. I understand that I've set Qty field to not allow nulls and want to continue doing so.   I want to create a class that takes two parameters. One should be typed simply as T. The other should be typed as something that extends both T and SomeInterface. When I attempt this with public class SomeClass<T, S extends SomeInterface<T> & T> then Java complains with "The type T is not an interface; it cannot be specified as a bounded parameter" and if instead I attempt to create an interface for S with public interface TandSomeInterface<T> extends SomeInterface<T>, T then Java complains with "Cannot refer to the type parameter T as a supertype" Is there any way to do this in Java? I think you can do it in C++...?

• Qt MOC Filename Collisions using multiple .pri files

  In order to keep my Qt project somewhat organized (using Qt Creator), I've got one .pro file and multiple .pri files. Just recently I added a class to one of my .pri files that has the same filename as a class that already existed in a separate .pri file. The file structure and makefiles generated by qmake appear to be oblivious to the filename collision that ensues. The generated moc_* files all get thrown into the same subdirectory (either release or debug, depending) and one ends up overwriting the other. When I try to make the project, I get several warnings that look like this: Makefile.Release:318: warning: overriding commands for target `release/moc_file.cpp` And the project fails to link. Here is a simple example of what I'm talking about. Directory structure: + project_dir | + subdir1 | | - file.h | | - file.cpp | + subdir2 | | - file.h | | - file.cpp | - main.cpp | - project.pro | - subdir1.pri | - subdir2.pri Contents of project.pro: TARGET = project TEMPLATE = app include(subdir1.pri) include(subdir2.pri) SOURCES += main.cpp Contents of subdir1.pri: HEADERS += subdir1/file.h SOURCES += subdir1/file.cpp Contents of subdir2.pri: HEADERS += subdir2/file.h SOURCES += subdir2/file.cpp Is there a way to tell qmake to generate a system that puts the moc_* files from separate .pri files into separate subdirectories?

The problem asks for efficiently implement three stacks in a single array, such that no stack overflows until there is no space left in the entire array space. For implementing 2 stacks in an array, it's pretty obvious: 1st stack grows from LEFT to RIGHT, and 2nd stack grows from RIGHT to LEFT; and when the stackTopIndex crosses, it signals an overflow.
