  • Adding multiple items in a batch to an osCommerce site?

    I need to add several hundred products to an osCommerce (ugh, I know, it wasn't my choice) but osCommerce doesn't have a built in method for this (or at least I couldn't find it), does anyone know where some (even half decent) documentation on HOW osCommerce stores products ('cause it certainly is not in any logical manner) can be found? Or possibly some free addon/software that will do it?

  • ui header is blocking a div

    i have built jQuery drop-down menu which is having problems floating over the UI header. Flash and everything else is fine, menu has no problem floating over anything except UI headers, i have tried messing with z-index in css files but it seems that jQuery script is over writing all of my css. the JS files are minified so i can not edit them. Since the site has a big amount of pages, so I think disk caching would be a better idea. But after searching I didn't find a solution, any suggestions?

    I'm about to embark on a new project in Silverlight 4, and definitely want to take advantage of the MVVM pattern, now I've finally grasped the basics. For implementing commands in Silverlight 4 it seems there are rather a lot of options ranging from the new built-in Command/ICommand option on the Button, over the InvokeCommand defined in the Microsoft.Expressions.Interactivity namespace and on to the range of assisting MVVM frameworks (Prism, MVVMlight etc). Does anyone here have gotcha's, experience and wisdom to share on this subject?

Each different type of widget implements functionality to get and prepare any data it needs to render. Can anyone suggest any patterns I could refer to for approaches to take?     We have an application written in VB.NET 2003 which has built in Crystal reports. When we install the application on Windows 2008 server we get the following error while trying to open crystal report in excel format Error is : Error in File :"....rpt" Error detected by export DLL. The report opens up fine in PDF on server Opeing report in Excel works fine on my local(development) machine...But this error is thrown on server... Kindly help me resolve this issue and how to fix it?..

Let's say if I provide a score threshold of .2, then all documents with score less than .2 will be removed from my results.     I'd like to know if there is a way to figure out if a key does something in vim. I know that I can use :map to see user-defined mappings, but is there something for the built-in stuff? For example, I always had CTRL-W bound to close tab, because I thought that it was unused. After half a year, I found out that there are some sequences that use it, like CTRL-W CTRL-S to split the window, and it was a nightmare to retrain myself.

    I know that Selenium has a built-in method getTable("tableName.row.column") can return a cell conveniently. However how can I return a whole column? I've tried getText() directly, however only the first cell was returned, getText("//tbody[@id='recordsTable']/tr[contains(@class, 'someclass')]") But getXpathCount() with the same Xpath expression showed there're multiple elements matched. getXpathCount("//tbody[@id='recordsTable']/tr[contains(@class, 'someclass')]") // result is 15 Please kindly help, many thanks!

  • Idiomatic scheme and generic programming, why only on numbers ?

    Hi, In Scheme, procedures like +, -, *, / works on different types of numbers, but we don't much see any other generic procedures. For example, length works only on list so that vector-length and string-length are needed. I guess it comes from the fact that the language doesn't really offer any mechanism for defining generic procedure (except cond of course) like "type classes" in Haskell or a standardized object system. Is there an idiomatic scheme way to handle generic procedures that I'm not aware of ?

    I have a list which I shuffle with the Python built in shuffle function (random.shuffle) However, the Python reference states: Note that for even rather small len(x), the total number of permutations of x is larger than the period of most random number generators; this implies that most permutations of a long sequence can never be generated. Now, I wonder what this "rather small len(x)" means. 100, 1000, 10000,... Can anybody clarify? Thanks!
