I've tried to iterate within ruby over each record, but this takes much too long and quits sometimes with some "segmentation fault" bugs.     Hey, In MonoRail/Active Record if I want to grab all records that have a certain column equal to null, I can do: public static Category[] AllParentCategories() { return (FindAllByProperty("Parent.Id", null)); } However, what if I want to grab all records where that column doesn't equal null? I can't figure out how to do that using this FindAllByProperty method, is there another method that is more flexible or a way to grab records using a linq-like querying language? Thanks, Justin

    Hello! Im new att widgets, but i have manage to write my own widget and get it to display correctly in my theme. The only problem i have now is that i want the widget to "auto activate" in the sidebar. So when the theme is installed on any wordpress installation the widget should be active so the user dosent need to drag it to the sidebar in admin. Is that possible?

So from the data above the result would be Result 1: 10, 01-Jan-2010 08:30:00, 01-Jan-2010 08:50:00 Result 2: 10, 01-Jan-2010 09:05:00, 02-Feb-2010 10:00:00 Greatly appreciate any help!

I've read over the official tutorial but it is rather light on details, compared to all the options one can use when building an executable out of a python script. For the record, my python script uses Python 2.5.2, wxPython/wxWidgets 2.8 and MySQLdb 1.2.2; so if you have specific tips for py2exe with those packages that would be much appreciated (and yes, I've seen the Py2EXE and wxPython page).

    We are using Tasks to track individual development items and the "out of the box" configuration gives us only 2 states - Active and Closed. We would like to change it to: Assigned In Development In Test Ready for Production Closed (In Production) Any ideas on how to accomplish this? We've been through everything in the Admin site. I want these applications to periodically check for new versions available at specific URL, automatically download new versions and replace themselves with new versions without attracting any user attention (keeping in mind that users may run Windows from XP to 7 and work using non-privileged account (which can be part of active directory)). Alternatively the whole update package has to be able to be distributed as an unattended-installed MSI package. Any recommendations on implementing this?

  • Non-blocking MySQL updates with java?

    For a multiplayer game I'm working on I'd like to record events to the mysql database without blocking the game update thread so that if the database is busy or a table is locked the game doesn't stop running while it waits for a write. What's the best way to accomplish this? I'm using c3p0 to manage the database connection pool. My best idea so far is to add query update strings to a synchronized list with an independent thread checking the list every 100ms and executing the queries it finds there.
