  • Scripted SOA Diagnostic Dumps for PS6 (11.1.1.7)

    - by ShawnBailey
When you upgrade to SOA Suite PS6 (11.1.1.7) you acquire a new set of Diagnostic Dumps in addition to what was available in PS5. With more than a dozen to choose from and not wanting to run them one at a time, this blog post provides a sample script to collect them all quickly and hopefully easily. There are several ways that this collection could be scripted and this is just one example. What is Included: wlst.properties: Ant Properties build.xml soa_diagnostic_script.py: Python Script What is Collected: 5 contextual thread dumps at 5 second intervals Diagnostic log entries from the server WLS Image which includes the domain configuration and WLS runtime data Most of the SOA Diagnostic Dumps including those for BPEL runtime, Adapters and composite information from MDS Instructions: Download the package and extract it to a location of your choosing Update the properties file 'wlst.properties' to match your environment Run 'ant' (must be on the path) Collect the zip package containing the files (by default it will be in the script.output location) Properties Reference: oracle_common.common.bin: Location of oracle_common/common/bin script.home: Location where you extracted the script and supporting files script.output: Location where you want the collections written username: User name for server connection pwd: Password to connect to the server url: T3 URL for server connection, '<host>:<port>' dump_interval: Interval in seconds between thread dumps log_interval: Duration in minutes that you want to go back for diagnostic log information Script Package

  • Ubuntu 3D does not work on Dell system with a AMD Radeon HD 6470M

    - by VeeKay
I am running 64 bit Ubuntu on Dell with 1GB graphic card. I login with "Ubuntu" hoping to see Unity 3d but it doesn't. Unity 2D runs instead. when I type in echo "$DESKTOP_SESSION" it confirms the Unity-2D. I've checked the System info that shows like : The graphics row shows itself as empty. SO I've presumed that the graphic drivers aren't detected and hence I went to Unity- Additional Drivers and installed the fglrx driver that the UI has suggested. Even after installing so, the graphics part in System info details shows nothing and still Unity 2D runs in spite of all the effort. Please help! How can I get my Unity 3D back? • Comparing two strings in excel, add value for common variables

    - by overtime
    I'm comparing two large datasets containing strings in excel. Column A contains the numbers 1-1,000,000. Column B contains 1,000,000 strings, neatly organized in the desired order. Column C contains 100,000 randomly organized strings, that have identical values somewhere in column B. Example: A B C D 1 String1 String642 2 String2 String11 3 String3 String8000 4 String4 String78 What I'd like to do is find duplicate values in columns B and C then output the Column A value that corresponds with the string in Column C into Column D. Desired Output: A B C D 1 String1 String642 642 2 String2 String11 11 3 String3 String8000 8000 4 String4 String78 78

  • Setting font size of Closed Captions on iPhone

    - by forthrin
Does anyone know if it's possible to control the font size on videos played in the built-in iPhone video player? The subtitles (or "Closed Captions") that are there by default are rather small. None of the attempts below change the font size at all: ffmpeg -y -i in.mkv -i in.srt -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -map 1:0 -vcodec copy -acodec aac -ab 256k -scodec mov_text -strict -2 -metadata title="Title" -metadata:s:s:0 language=eng out.mp4 sudo port install mplayer +mencoder_extras +osd mencoder in.mkv -sub in.srt -o out.mp4 -ovc copy -oac faac -faacopts br=256:mpeg=4:object=2 -channels 2 -srate 48000 -subfont-text-scale 10 -of lavf -lavfopts format=mp4 mp4box -add output.ttxt:hdlr=sbtl:size=50 output.mp4 Should we assume that iOS simply disregards size information, or has anyone ever seen styling of subtitles actually work on iOS? Anyone know how to make this work?

  • Is there a way to catch cmd.exe windows into tabs?

    - by user55542
I use an editor that allows me to type in a command to run. In order to see the output without having to redirect it to a file, I precede the command with "cmd /k," which leaves an open cmd.exe window. So I'd like to find a way to move catch the call to cmd.exe and give it to an application that tabifies cmd.exe, a terminal emulator as it's called. The desired result would be similar to what happens in a tabbed editor, when that editor is to open some file, it does so in another tab, and not in another window. While in a given situation it may be easier to modify the command to redirect output to display in the editor itself, in general it would be more helpful if I could find a way to catch all such calls into one window.

  • Second Monitor "Input Not Supported"

    - by Drew
I have two identical monitors (new Acer s211hl) with a native resolution of 1920x1080. When enabling dual monitor support in Windows 7, the primary monitor works as expected, but the second monitor says, "Input not Supported" and fails to display anything. If I change the resolution of the second monitor to 1440x900, it works as expected. Likewise, if I set it to 1920x1080 with a refresh rate of 30hz, the monitor displays video. However, neither of these are solutions, because the output looks very blurry, and the content is stretched. I am using the following hardware: Monitors: Acer s211hl Motherboard: Asus F1A75M-Pro CPU/GPU: AMD A8-3850 with integrated Radeon HD 6550D graphics I suspect that there is probably an issue with the integrated graphics or motherboard not being able to output to two 1920x1080 monitors, but I am hoping for official confirmation.

  • linux: upload / download difference on network shares

    - by Batsu
I have a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (with SELinux) which shows significant differences of speed between download and upload (the latter significantly slower) of files shared over the LAN. The bottleneck seems to be the output of the linux machine since I have a rate around 1Mb/s when WinXP machines download files shared (using samba) by the RHEL machine uploading files from the RHEL to a WinXP's shared folder while uploading from the XP machines to linux's shares downloading XPs' shares on the RHEL any share between Windows machines only run smooth (around 50Mb/s). Since the upload from RHEL to WinXP's share is slowed too I would exclude an issue in the configuration of samba. What could possibly determine this limit in the upload speed? update: iptables doesn't show any output rule and disabling it doesn't show any noticeable difference, so I would rule out it too.

  • HTML Manifest for Content Folios

    - by Kyle Hatlestad
I recently worked on a project to create a custom content folio renderer in WebCenter Content. It needed to output the native files in the folio along with a manifest file in HTML format which would list the contents of the folio along with any designated metadata and a relative link to the file within the download.  This way a person could hand someone the folio download and it would be a self-contained package with all of the content and a single file to display the information on the contents.  The default Zip rendition of the folio will output the web-viewable version of the file with an HDA formatted file for each one. And unless you are fluent in HDA or have a tool to read them, they are difficult to consume. I thought this might be useful for others, so I'm posting a copy of the component here. Beyond the standard instructions for installing a component, there is an environment configuration file (folionativezipwithmanifestrenderer_environment.cfg) which has a couple of options. FolioMetadataManifestList - This is a comma separated list of metadata fields (system or custom) that should be included in the manifest file. FolioMetadataManifestUseOriginalFilename - (True or False) If set to True, the filenames in the zip file will be based on the original filename as it was checked into WebCenter Content.  If False, it will use the 'Name' of the item as defined within the Folio.  This is usually the Title of the item. The component also includes the source code, so feel free to use this as a reference for creating other interesting folios.

  • DVD wont mount Ubuntu 12.04

    - by CyborgGold
I can't seem to be able to mount my optical drive. I have tried numerous solutions from this site with no results. I am not able to see the device inside the file browser either. There is a DVD in the drive. I am running 12.04 on an HP g60-235dx portable. I have a link below to the specs. I will also list what I have tried (that I can find back right now.) I know the drive is functioning, because just before Windows 7 crashed and my MBR went fubar I was watching movies just fine. I am fairly new to linux, so don't assume I know anything. Ok, so here is what I have tried: sudo wget --output-document=/etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/$(lsb_release -cs).list sudo apt-get --quiet update sudo apt-get --yes --quiet --allow-unauthenticated install medibuntu-keyring sudo apt-get --quiet update sudo apt-get install libdvdcss2 dmesg | grep sr0 (no output) apt-get install libdvdnav4 (already installed, and up to date) sudo /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh ls -l /dev/cdrom /dev/cdrw /dev/dvd /dev/dvdrw /dev/scd0 /dev/sr0 ls: cannot access /dev/scd0: No such file or directory lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 Sep 10 03:51 /dev/cdrom -> sr0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 Sep 10 03:51 /dev/cdrw -> sr0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 Sep 10 03:51 /dev/dvd -> sr0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 Sep 10 03:51 /dev/dvdrw -> sr0 brw-rw----+ 1 root cdrom 11, 0 Sep 10 03:51 /dev/sr0 wodim --devices wodim: Overview of accessible drives (1 found) : ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0 dev='/dev/sg1' rwrw-- : 'TSSTcorp' 'CDDVDW TS-L633M' ------------------------------------------------------------------------- sudo lshw optical *-cdrom description: DVD-RAM writer product: CDDVDW TS-L633M vendor: TSSTcorp physical id: 1 bus info: scsi@1:0.0.0 logical name: /dev/cdrom logical name: /dev/cdrw logical name: /dev/dvd logical name: /dev/dvdrw logical name: /dev/sr0 version: 0200 capabilities: removable audio cd-r cd-rw dvd dvd-r dvd-ram configuration: ansiversion=5 status=nodisc sudo lshw | grep cdrom *-cdrom logical name: /dev/cdrom Spec sheet for portable: http://www.cnet.com/laptops/hp-g60-235dx/4507-3121_7-33496192.html If you need any more information than all of that... please let me know.

  • Javascript Event in Innerhtml Resulting from PHP Server Script

    - by user144527
I'm (very slowly) making a website, and I'm creating a search engine for the database, which is essential to organize the dependencies during data entry. Anyway, what I would like is to type a few keywords into a box, have a menu pop up with various search results, and have the box fill with the ID number of the selected entry when it's clicked. Currently, I have a document called search.php which fills a div called search-output using xmlhttp.open() and the innerhtml property. Everything is working perfectly except for filling the original search box with the ID number when clicking. My first attempt was to add an onclick event to each entry in the output from search.php. Unfortunately, I found that javascript inserted into innerhtml is not run for security reasons. I've been Googling for hours but haven't been able to find a solution. How can I get the original search text box to fill with the correct ID when I click it? Is what I'm doing a good setup for the results I desire, or is there a better way to integrate search features into data entry?

  • External monitor on old Dell 700m?

    - by Adam Henne
Okay, linux noob. I installed 10.04 on an old Dell 700m in hopes of using it as a media center device. That seems to work great, except now it won't output to the external monitor. VGA cable works fine, TV recognizes other computers fine, it's the laptop that won't output. Turns out that the 700m, unlike every other computer out there, doesn't have a Fn hotkey to switch monitors. The only way to do it in Windows was to go through the Control Panel. In Ubuntu, though, the Monitor setup won't detect or recognize any monitors. The laptop display works fine, but I can't adjust or add anything. I did a little research and found suggestions for older Ubuntu builds involving the xorg.conf. I tried one out, in spite of my unfamiliarity, and it's screwed the whole display big time. I can fix that with a clean reinstall, that's no problem, but I'm cautious about editing xorg again. Any suggestions? Thank you!

  • check_postgres_checkpoint plugin error

When I run the command from CLI as root I am getting the output but I am not able to get the output in the Nagios web interface. The error which it shows is, ERROR: pg_controldata could not read the given data directory: "/opt/PostgreSQL/9.1/data" It is trying to access the pg_control file in the 'global' directory present beneath the data directory which has only read access to the postgres user. • Query for server DefaultData & DefaultLog folders

    - by jamiet
Do you ever need to query for the DefaultData & DefaultLog folders for your SQL Server instance? Well, I just did and the following script enabled me to do that: DECLARE @HkeyLocal NVARCHAR(18),@MSSqlServerRegPath NVARCHAR(31),@InstanceRegPath SYSNAME; SELECT @HkeyLocal=N'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE' SELECT @MSSqlServerRegPath=N'SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLServer' SELECT @InstanceRegPath=@MSSqlServerRegPath + N'\MSSQLServer' DECLARE @SmoDefaultFile NVARCHAR(512) EXEC MASTER.dbo.xp_instance_regread @HkeyLocal, @InstanceRegPath, N'DefaultData', @SmoDefaultFile OUTPUT DECLARE @SmoDefaultLog NVARCHAR(512) EXEC MASTER.dbo.xp_instance_regread @HkeyLocal, @InstanceRegPath, N'DefaultLog', @SmoDefaultLog OUTPUT SELECT ISNULL(@SmoDefaultFile,N'') AS [DefaultFile],ISNULL(@SmoDefaultLog,N'') AS [DefaultLog]' I haven’t done any rigorous testing or anything like that, all I can say is…it worked for me (on SQL Server 2012). Use as you see fit. Doubtless this information exists in a multitude of other places but nevertheless I’m putting it here so I know where to find it in the future. Just for fun I thought I’d try this out against SQL Azure Windows Azure SQL Database. Unsurprisingly it didn’t work there: Msg 40515, Level 15, State 1, Line 16 Reference to database and/or server name in 'MASTER.dbo.xp_instance_regread' is not supported in this version of SQL Server. @Jamiet

  • Collision rectangle response

    - by dotty
I'm having difficulties getting a moveable rectangle to collide with more than one rectangle. I'm using SFML and it has a handy function called Intersect() which takes 2 rectangles and returns the intersections. I have a vector full of rectangles which I want my moveable rectangle to collide with. I'm looping through this using the following code (p is the moveble rectangle). IsCollidingWith returns a bool but also uses SFML's Interesect to work out the intersections. while(unsigned i = 0; i!= testRects.size(); i++){ if(p.IsCollidingWith(testRects[i]){ p.Collide(testRects[i]); } } and the actual Collide() code void gameObj::collide( gameObj collidingObject ){ printf("%f %f\n", this->colliderResult.width, this->colliderResult.height); if (this->colliderResult.width < this->colliderResult.height) { // collided on X if (this->getCollider().left < collidingObject.getCollider().left ) { this->move( -this->colliderResult.width , 0); }else { this->move( this->colliderResult.width, 0 ); } } if(this->colliderResult.width > this->colliderResult.height){ if (this->getCollider().top < collidingObject.getCollider().top ) { this->move( 0, -this->colliderResult.height); }else { this->move( 0, this->colliderResult.height ); } } } and the IsCollidingWith() code is bool gameObj::isCollidingWith( gameObj testObject ){ if (this->getCollider().intersects( testObject.getCollider(), this->colliderResult )) { return true; }else { return false; } } This works fine when there's only 1 Rect in the scene. However, when there's move than one Rect it causes issue when working out 2 collisions at once. Any idea how to deal with this correctly? I have uploaded a video to youtube to show my problem. The console on the far-right shows the width and height of the intersections. You can see on the console that it's trying to calculate 2 collisions at once, I think this is where the problem is being caused. The youtube video is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fA2gflOMcAk also , this image also seems to illustrate the problem nicely. Can someone please help, I've been stuck on this all weekend!

  • OpenXML error “file is corrupt and cannot be opened.”

    - by nmgomes
From time to time I ear some people saying their new web application supports data export to Excel format. So far so good … but they don’t tell the all story … in fact almost all the times what is happening is they are exporting data to a Comma-Separated file or simply exporting GridView rendered HTML to an xls file. Ok … it works but it’s not something I would be proud of. So … yesterday I decided to take a look at the Office Open XML File Formats Specification (Microsoft Office 2007+ format) based on well-known technologies: ZIP and XML. I start by installing Open XML SDK 2.0 for Microsoft Office and playing with some samples. Then I decided to try it on a more complex web application and the “file is corrupt and cannot be opened.” message start happening. Google show us that many people suffer from the same and it seems there are many reasons that can trigger this message. Some are related to the process itself, others with encodings or even styling. Well, none solved my problem and I had to dig … well not that much, I simply change the output file extension to zip and extract the zip content. Then I did the same to the output file from my first sample, compare both zip contents with SourceGear DiffMerge and found that my problem was Culture related. Yes, my complex application sets the Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture  to a non-English culture. For sample purposes I was simply using the ToString method to convert numbers and dates to a string representation but forgot that XML is culture invariant and thus using a decimal separator other than “.” will result in a deserialization problem. I solve the “file is corrupt and cannot be opened.” by using Convert.ToString(object, CultureInfo.InvariantCulture) method instead of the ToString method. Hope this can help someone.

  • Audio not working in 12.10

    - by frampy
I did a clean install of 12.10, when I open Sound Settings in gnome the only device in the list is "Dummy Output", and sound is not working. Sound worked fine out of the box in 12.04 I ran alsamixer, it says my card is "HDA Intel", and chip is "Realtek ALC880". The alsamixer playback output was set to mute at first, unmuting did not fix. I checked out the info at http://www.unixmen.com/2012003-howto-resolve-nosound-problem-on-ubuntu/ as suggested on a similar question, I've done everything there except installing the ubuntu audio dev team driver. Should I try install this? Edit: I've been reading the sound troubleshooting guide at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshooting It looks like Ubuntu is finding my audio device correctly. mike@wucade:~$ lspci -v | grep -A7 -i "audio" 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 03) Subsystem: Albatron Corp.
