Currently I have a very basic file viewer working as follows : - in JOptionPane I browse for files, and set some variables to display (colors, line connecting etc) - previous windows loads a frame with drawn points Code : http://paste.pocoo.org/show/220066/ Now I'd like to throw it into one window, with JMenu for selecting files and changing display parameters. How to get started ? Should I rewrite everything to JDialog ?

• How do I push `sed` matches to the shell call in the replacement pattern?

  I need to replace several URLs in a text file with some content dependent on the URL itself. Let's say for simplicity it's the first line of the document at the URL. What I'm trying is this: sed "s/^URL=\(.*\)/TITLE=$(curl -s \1 | head -n 1)/" file.txt This doesn't work, since \1 is not set. However, the shell is getting called. Can I somehow push the sed match variables to that subprocess?

  I'm trying to interface a C++ library (pHash) with Python using Cython, but I have trouble with some of the types. The library functions use "unsigned long long" and I can't find a way to declare variables and parameters with this type. I searched for a list of the types that I can use with cdef but I found nothing. Can anyone point me to such a list (if it exists) or otherwise suggest a way to use 64 bit types in Cython? Thanks.

  Hi, am 100% sure I downloaded and extracted version 1.8 of ZF, but then when I go to console and typed "zf show version" it says am using 1.9.6, yes I do have 1.9.6 but it is "Compressed" and untouched, how could this be possible ?, I double checked my system variables, there's no evidence of ZF there.   Is there a way to "declare" a variable with a particular user-defined type in MATLAB? zeros() only works for built-in numeric types. The only solution I've come up with involves using repmat() to duplicate a dummy object zero times: arr = repmat(myClass(), [1 0]) Without declaring variables this way, any code which does "arr(end+1) = myClass()" has to include a special case for the default empty matrix which is of type double. Have I missed something a little more sensible?
