  Everything seems to work fine until i want to submit the form and update the database. Wildcard mapping works on requests like "/navigation/edit/1", but when i submit the form as: var ajaxPost = function(Url, Params) { Ext.Ajax.request({ url: Url, params: Params, method: 'POST', async: false, scope: this }); }; it says "200 bad response: syntax error" and in firebug there is "Failed to load source for: http://.../Navigation/edit/1". Any help?

I tried routes.MapRoute("BuildingProject", "BuildingProject/{action}/{id}", new { controller = "Home", action = "", id = "" }); It worked.But on typing localhost:4030/BuildingProject it is not redirecting to it's Index but showing error. .How to do this.

  I have a list of Plants and assosiated Projects. I want to output this in a table with all the Plants and use Telerik.Grid to expand a Plant, show a Telerik.Grid with associated Projects. I want the Projects to be dynamically loaded with Ajax. The code for the grid: @(Html.Telerik().Grid<PlantDto>() .Name("Plants") .Columns(columns => { columns.Bound(plant => plant.Title); }) .DetailView(details => details.ClientTemplate( Html.Telerik().Grid<ProjectDto>() .Name("Plant_<#= Id #>") .DataBinding(dataBinding => dataBinding.Ajax() .Select("ProjectsForPlant", "User", new { plantId = "<#= Id #>" })) .ToHtmlString() )) .DataBinding(dataBinding => dataBinding.Ajax().Select("PlantsForUser", "User")) ) The initial data is loaded into the grid just fine (the list of Plants) but when I expand a plant I just get an empty sub-table. Looking in FireBug there are no calls to the server. The controller that should serve the list of projects is never called. Anyone have an idea on what it could be?

I'm developing NerdDinner from scratch and now I came to point where I define DinnerViewModel.   i want to create a external dll to store my .resx files. i want to do this because i need to access this files from both presentation and business layers. I have created a external project that contains the default and the es-Es resx files. i have mark it as PublicResXFileCodeGenerator to be able to access it from another dll. on my view i have this test <%=localization.Common.title.ToString() % when i'm run the application i always get this error "Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture or the neutral culture. Make sure "localization.Common.resources" was correctly embedded or linked into assembly "localization" at compile time, or that all the satellite assemblies required are loadable and fully signed." i have read some this related to ddl signing... but i don't now if this is the problem.

• a value that shows in select mode disappears in edit mode from a gridview column

So I want to know how to implement this kind of validation?

  Hi, I want to validate my inputs but i can't make it work : nothing appear on the page. My project is in java 5, so no JSR303 (@Valid). My only solution, if i'm not mistaken, is to use BindingResult. If you use MVC in your web application then you don't need to use something like Smarty(template engine) as you are already separating application code from presentation code anyway by using MVC right? please correct me?   I have a page that contains several forms, by submitting each one of them, next form becomes visible. the last form contains a recaptcha validator, my problem starts here, if i declare an action result for that page like this [CaptchaValidator] public ActionResult myAction(SomeModel model, string lang) { return View("towing", model); } I'm getting an argument null exeption parameter "Challenge", which in fact means that you have to POST those fields from recaptcha for the validation to appear and I cannot post anyting untill the last for is visible and posted. then I've added a news ActionResult like myActionValidated, defined a route for it like: mypage/validate pointing to that actionresult and then i don't know where to go from here, i want simply do display a message if the reCaptcha did not validate and redirect to a URL if it succeeded.   I have a page with a menu that uses JQuery AJAX calls to populate the page with. To reflect any changes I update the URL with a #... instead of ?... or /... So an URL that originally reads : htpp://localhost/pages/index/id=1 would look like : http://localhost/#pages/index/id=1. If a user bookmarks this, and later comes back to the page, I wonder if it's possible to use the second URL in my route decoding, or if I have to load it blank, then use the same JS/Ajax to populate the page? In my mind it is problematic to use Ajax in these cases if a user copies the link and mails it to a friend with JavaScript disabled. edit#1: Fixed some spelling.

  This is my scenario I have an view(page) with list of items, a user could select single or multiple items from this page and click on a "Add to Group" button. Then a modal dialog(JQuery dialog) will be shown, from that he could select group, then press the add button. Which causes the items selected in the parent page is added to that particular group. So, which is the best way to pass the selected items to the modal pop-up? Though the query string ? - what happens if the no:of items selected is large, will the url support that much characters Keep the list in the parent page in a javascript variable and return the selected group from the modal pop-up?   I use Index.cshtml and Index.mobile.cshtml. My Index.cshtml is a mobile app landing page containing an iframe to live demo the mobile web app. Index.mobile.cshtml is the mobile web app itself. The problem is, the iframe keeps loading the desktop version itself. As far as I know, I cannot configure the user agent of the iframe to a mobile type. It should be solvable with some routing but I couldn't figure out how!?
