  • How to send a Timestamp field to Oracle stored proc. from Java despite the DB config?

    I'm making a request from a java webapp to an Oracle' stored procedure which happens to have a Timestamp IN parameter. In the testing environment, it works sending: SimpleDateFormat dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("dd-MMM-yyyy hh:mm:ss a"); input.setTimestampField(dateFormat.format(new Date())); But in the production environment, it raises an exception ORA-01830: date format picture ends before converting entire input string. I know the testing environment should be a replica of the production site, but it is not in my hands to set them properly. And I need to send the Timestamp field despite the way they setup the database. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Hello! I am trying to wrap an environment created with \NewEnviron (package 'environ') into an old good \newenvironment: \NewEnviron{test}{\colorbox[gray]{0.7}{\BODY}} \newenvironment{wrapper}{\begin{test}}{\end{test}} \begin{wrapper} debug me \end{wrapper} However, this gives me a strange error: LaTeX Error: \begin{test} on input line 15 ended by \end{wrapper}. LaTeX Error: \begin{wrapper} on input line 15 ended by \end{document}. If I replace \NewEnviron{test}{aaa(\BODY)bbb} with \newenvironment{test}{aaa(}{)bbb} — everything works as expected! It seems like \NewEnviron fails to find its end for some reason. I'm trying to do some magic with 'floatfig' wrapped into a \colorbox so I need a way to convert \colorbox to an environment and wrap it into another one. I can define a new command but it's not a very good idea. Thanks in advance!

  • XmlDocument.InnerXml is null, but InnerText is not

    I'm using XmlDocument and XmlElement to build a simple (but large) XML document that looks something like: <Widgets> <Widget> <Stuff>foo</Stuff> <MoreStuff>bar</MoreStuff>...lots more child nodes </Widget> <Widget>...lots more Widget nodes </Widgets> My problem is that when I'm done building the XML, the XmlDocument.InnerXml is null, but the InnerText still shows all the text of all the child nodes. Has anyone ever seen a problem like this before? What kind of input data would cause these symptoms? I expected the XmlDocument to just throw an exception if it was given bad data. Note: I'm pretty sure this is related to the input data as I can only reproduce it against certain data sets. I also tried escaping the data with SecurityElement.Escape but it made no difference.

  • Is there a non-blocking version of MessageBox.Show (or something like it)?

    Often you just want to notify the user that something has occurred, but there's really no need for any input from them. In this common scenario, I sometimes see code like this: MessageBox.Show("Something has occurred", "Something", MessageBoxButtons.OK); This code, as we all know, causes a little pop-up window to appear with only an OK button. Now here's the thing: this code blocks (the UI thread). But in the vast majority of cases, it seems to me, if you only have an OK button, there's very little need to block. (Isn't the purpose of blocking typically to receive some input from the user? And if the user's only choice is "OK," in this typical case, isn't blocking pretty pointless?) Obviously I could just write my own little form that does basically exactly what MessageBox.Show does, except that it returns nothing (no DialogResult) and doesn't block. But I was just wondering if something like this exists already that I didn't know about.

  • how to setup rails Authenticity Token to work with multiple domains?

    I'm building an app that uses subdomains as account handles (myaccount.domain.com) and I have my sessions configured to work across the sub-domains like so: config.action_controller.session = {:domain => '.domain.com'} In addition to the subdomain a user can input a real domain name when they are creating their account. My Nginx config is setup to watch for *.com *.net etc, and this is working to serve out the pages. The problem comes when a site visitor submits a comment form on a custom domain that was input by the user. The code is throwing an "Invalid AuthenticityToken" exception. I'm 99% sure this is because the domain the user is on isn't specified as the domain in the config.action_controller.session. Thus the authenticity token isn't getting matched up because Rails can't find their session. So, the question is: Can you set config.action_controller.session to more than 1 domain, and if so can you add / remove from that value at runtime without restarting the app?

While some request message come from the client socket, the server emulator will response the client through the socket. the response is response code. '00' will describe request message processed successfully, and another response code expect '00' will describe there are some error while processing the message request. IN the server there are some UI, this UI contain check response parameter such as. response code timeout interval While the server want to response the client message, the response code taken from input parameter response form UI check the timeout interval, it will create sleep thread and the interval taken from timeout interval input from UI. I have implement the function, but I create it in one class. I feel it so sucks. Can you suggest me what class / interface that I must create to refactor my code.

  • Set a script to automatically detect character encoding in a plain-text-file in Python?

    I've set up a script that basically does a large-scale find-and-replace on a plain text document. At the moment it works fine with ASCII, UTF-8, and UTF-16 (and possibly others, but I've only tested these three) encoded documents so long as the encoding is specified inside the script (the example code below specifies UTF-16).     If I have the following: // Clean input. $.each(arguments, function(index, value) { arguments[index] = value.replace(/[\W\s]+/g, '').toLowerCase(); }); Would that be a bad thing to do? I have no further use for the uncleaned arguments in the function, and it would be nice not to create a useless copy of arguments just to use them, but are there any negative effects to doing this? Ideally I would have done this, but I'm guessing this runs into problems since arguments isn't really an Array: arguments = $.map(arguments, function(value) { return value.replace(/[\W\s]+/g, '').toLowerCase(); }); Thanks for any input. EDIT: I've just realized that both of these are now inside their own functions, so the arguments object has changed. Any way to do this without creating an unnecessary variable?

  • Efficient calculation of matrix cumulative standard deviation in r

    I recently posted this question on the r-help mailing list but got no answers, so I thought I would post it here as well and see if there were any suggestions. I am trying to calculate the cumulative standard deviation of a matrix. I want a function that accepts a matrix and returns a matrix of the same size where output cell (i,j) is set to the standard deviation of input column j between rows 1 and i. NAs should be ignored, unless cell (i,j) of the input matrix itself is NA, in which case cell (i,j) of the output matrix should also be NA. I could not find a built-in function, so I implemented the following code. Unfortunately, this uses a loop that ends up being somewhat slow for large matrices.   • Why doesn't this code work correctly?

    I'm working on a website that displays galleries, using jCarousel. But no matter what I try, I can't get it to work, and I need to finish this by today. I have a very urgent schedule. My code basically takes image URLs from a database and sends them to AJAX, which passes it to jCarousel which makes the gallery. But there are a few problems: It doesn't display correctly! I can only get the last item pulled from the database, and it displays on the bottom-most row. After the item pulled from the database is displayed, the first time I click on "prev" there's no scroll effect, and the item just disappears! Only if I click on "next" 2-3 times there's a scroll effect and the item remains visible. My items are always displayed at the end of the carousel! This is urgent.. EDIT: Oh and also, in the row my image displays, only the image is there. Maybe jCarousel doesn't accept img and text, I don't know.

I have a model class : class MyModel(models.Model): date = models.DateField("Date") And associated admin class class MyModelAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin): pass On django administration interface, I would like to be able to input a date in following format : dd/mm/yyyy. However, the date field in the admin form expects yyyy-mm-dd. How can I customize things ? Nota bene : I have already specified my custom language code (fr-FR) in settings.py, but it seems to have no effect on this date input matter. Thanks in advance for your answer

  • Regular expression does not find the first occurance

    I have the following input to a perl script and I wish to get the first occurrence of NAME="..." strings in each of the ... structures. The entire file is read into a single string and the reg exp acts on that input. However, the regex always returns the LAST occurrence of NAME="..." strings. Can anyone explain what is going on and how this can be fixed?   • How can I match end-of-line multiple times in a regex without interpolation?

    Hi, if I have a input with new lines in it like: [INFO] xyz [INFO] How can I pull out the xyz part? I tried a pattern like /^\[INFO\]$(.*?)$\[INFO\]/ms, but perl gives me: Use of uninitialized value $\ in regexp compilation at scripts\t.pl line 6. I've been trying things to get interpolation to stop like using qr// but alas, no love. EDIT: The key is that the end-of-line anchor is a dollar sign but at times it may be necessary to intersperse the end-of-line anchor through the pattern. If the pattern is interpolating then you might get problems such as uninitialized $\. For instance an acceptable solution here is /^\[INFO\]\s*^(.*?)\s*^\[INFO\]/ms but that does not solve the crux of the first problem. I've changed the anchors to be ^ so there is no interpolation going on, and with this input I'm free to do that. But what about when I really do want to reference EOL with $ in my pattern? How do I get the regex to compile?

  • Using GET Method to Maintain Variables After Logging In

    Hello, I am using a login system. When I navigate to comments/index.php without logging in, some variables get passed along using the GET method just fine. Then, if I log in while I am on this page, these variables disappear. The variables that disappear are $submission, $submissionid, and $url. I thought I could use the GET method to keep them live after logging in by appending ?submission='.$submission.'&submissionid='.$submissionid.'&url='.$url.' to the URL of the login form action as seen below. But the variables still disappeared after I made this addition. The relevant code I am trying to use is below. Any idea what I can do to make it do what I want?   • Query to return internal details about stored function in MS-SQL database

    I have been given access to a ms-sql database that is currently used by 3rd party app. As such, I don't have any documentation on how that application stores the data or how it retrieves it. I can figure a few things out based on the names of various tables and the parameters that the user-defined functions takes and returns, but I'm still getting errors at every other turn. I was thinking that it would be really helpful if I could see what the stored functions were doing with the parameters given to return the output. Right now all I've been able to figure out is how to query for the input parameters and the output columns. Is there any built-in information_schema table that will expose what the function is doing between input and output?

  • MVC Partial View Not Refreshing when using JSON data

    I have a dropdown that I'm using to refresh a div with checkboxes. I am trying to figure out why my view is not refreshing if I pass in data in JSON format. If I pass in just a regular string, the view refreshes. If I pass in JSON data, the view does not refresh. If I step through the code in the Partial view, I can see the correct number of records are being passed in, however the view doesn't get refreshed with the correct number of checkboxes. I tried to add some cache directives, it didn't work.   • Format number as I type Expand this post

    Hi I am working on an app at the moment that requires number input to be formatted as the textfield changes as well as perform a calculation. I have the text fields set up so that as the user types notifications are passed out and a calculation is performed. However what I need to do now is format the text to be in this style: €1,000,000 rather than 1000000. I have this working for the output of the calculation already but everytime I try to apply it to the input text the simulator seems to crash or at least freezes for a while. I'd imagine its a simple enough fix.
