  • PHP - ldap_search() filter. How to search for user

    - by cvack
    $_SERVER['REMOTE_USER'] returns the username of the user logged in to an Active Directory. I want to retrive this users info by using ldap_search(). This is what I have now: $ad = // ldap_connection id $filter = "(|(sn=$username*)(givenname=$username*))"; $attr = array("displayname", "mail", "mobile", "homephone", "telephonenumber", "streetaddress", "postalcode", "physicaldeliveryofficename", "l"); $dn = // OU, DC etc.. ldap_search($ad,$dn,$filter,$attr); It works, but i'm not sure it will work if two users have almost the same names. How do I only search for their unique username so that i always only get one user?

  • PHP Curl and Loop based on a numeric value

    - by danit
    Im using the Twitter API to collect the number of tweets I've favorited, well to be accurate the total pages of favorited tweets. I use this URL: http://api.twitter.com/1/users/show/username.xml I grab the XML element 'favorites_count' For this example lets assume favorites_count=5 The Twitter API uses this URL to get the favorties: http://twitter.com/favorites.xml (Must be authenticated) You can only get the last 20 favorties using this URL, however you can alter the URL to include a 'page' option by adding: ?page=3 to the end of the favorites URL e.g. http://twitter.com/favorites.xml?page=2 So what I need to do is use CURL (I think) to collect the favorite tweets, but using the URL: http://twitter.com/favorites.xml?page=1 http://twitter.com/favorites.xml?page=2 http://twitter.com/favorites.xml?page=3 http://twitter.com/favorites.xml?page=4 etc... Some kind of loop to visit each URL, and collect the Tweets and then output the cotents. Can anyone help with this: - Need to use CURL to authenticate - Collect the number of pages of tweets (Already scripted this) - Then use a loop to go through each page URL based on the pages value?

  • PHP - fgetcsv - Delimiter being ignored?

    - by KnockKnockWhosThere
    I'm trying to output each line in a csv file, and it seems like the delimiter is being ignored... I'm sure my syntax is wrong somewhere, but can't seem to pinpoint it... The CSV file looks like this: ID,Code,Count TM768889,02001,10 TM768889,02002,10 TM768889,02003,10 TM768889,02004,10 TM768889,02005,10 I'm trying to output: 0 - ID,Code,Count 1 - TM768889,02001,10 2 - TM768889,02002,10 3 - TM768889,02003,10 4 - TM768889,02004,10 5 - TM768889,02005,10 But instead, it's outputting this: 0 - ID 1 - Code 2 - Count TM768889 3 - 02001 4 - 10 TM768889 5 - 02002 6 - 10 TM768889 7 - 02003 8 - 10 TM768889 9 - 02004 10 - 10 TM768889 11 - 02005 12 - 10 Here's my code: $row = 0; if(($handle = fopen($_FILES["Filedata"]["tmp_name"], "r")) !== FALSE) { $string = ''; while(($line = fgetcsv($handle,1000,",")) !== FALSE) { $num = count($line); $row++; for($c=0; $c < $num; $c++) { $string .= $c.' - '.$line[$c].'<br />'; } } fclose($handle); echo $string; }

  • How to preserve hyperlink when submitting via php form into MySQL

    - by TheTub
    Hi All, I've created a form that stores free text fields into a MySQL database. All works fine and the data is displayed back as intended when viewed. Except for one niggle. In an attempt to prevent malicious attacks I have used mysql_real_escape_string to remove any unwanted code from the input. However, I need to be able to preserve hyperlinks and basic html. For example, I want to store the following: <p align="left">Please follow this <a href="link.html">link</a></p> But the link is being stored as \"link.html\" as the quotes are being escaped. How can I preserve this link and other html? Many thank TT

  • prevent multiple login with same login credentials in php

    - by shinod
    My website has premium videos, for which users have to pay to watch it. I am sending a random user name and password to the user's email id when the payment is completed. Then I want to assure no more than one user use that login credentials simultaneously. For that I use a login_status column in database table with login credentials and change it to 1 when one user login and change to 0 when user log out. But the problem is, if the user close browser or network connection loss may happened will not update database. Then login_will be 1 undefinitely and no one can use that login credentials again. Is there any idea to accomplish my task?

  • Parse Directory Structure (Strings) to JSON using PHP

    - by Ecropolis
    I have an array of file-path strings like this videos/funny/jelloman.wmv videos/funny/bellydance.flv videos/abc.mp4 videos/june.mp4 videos/cleaver.mp4 fun.wmv jimmy.wmv herman.wmv Is there a library or easy way I can get to a data structure json or xml? Something like this: (I see there are a lot of snippets available for traversing actual folders, but again, I just have strings.) { files:{ file:[ { filename:'fun.wmv' }, { filename:'jimmy.wmv' }, { filename:'herman.wmv' } ], folder:{ foldername:'videos', file:[ { filename:'abc.mp4' }, { filename:'june.mp4' }, { filename:'cleaver.mp4' } ], folder:{ foldername:'funny', file:[ { filename:'jelloman.wmv' }, { filename:'bellydance.flv' } ] } } } }

  • PHP: Recursively get children of parent

    - by Nic Hubbard
    I have a function which gets the ids of all children of a parent from my DB. So, if I looked up id 7, it might return an array with 5, 6 and 10. What I then want to do, is recursively find the children of those returned ids, and so on, to the final depth of the children. I have tried to write a function to do this, but I am getting confused about recursion. function getChildren($parent_id) { $tree = Array(); $tree_string; if (!empty($parent_id)) { // getOneLevel() returns a one-dimentional array of child ids $tree = $this->getOneLevel($parent_id); foreach ($tree as $key => $val) { $ids = $this->getChildren($val); array_push($tree, $ids); //$tree[] = $this->getChildren($val); $tree_string .= implode(',', $tree); } return $tree_string; } else { return $tree; } }//end getChildren() After the function is run, I would like it to return a one-dimentional array of all the child ids that were found.

  • Compare two associative arrays and create a new array with the matched arrays, PHP

    - by user194630
    I have this two arrays: $arr1=array( array("id" => 8, "name" => "test1"), array("id" => 4, "name" => "test2"), array("id" => 3, "name" => "test3") ); $arr2=array( array("id" => 3), array("id" => 4) ); How can i "extract" arrays from $arr1, where id have same value in $arr2, into a new array and leave the extracted array also in a new array, without taking into account key orders? The output i am looking for should be: $arr3=array( array("id" => 8, "name" => "test1") ); $arr4=array( array("id" => 4, "name" => "test2"), array("id" => 3, "name" => "test3") ); Thanks

  • penny auctions in PHP

    - by Cudos
    I have a project where I need a penny auction. Rather than doing it from scratch I would like to hear if you know any "ready-to-go" scripts for that? There are alot of them out there but most seems dodgy. I have no problem tweaking/customizing such scripts. I just don't want to start from scratch.

  • PHP check if file exists on my server, based on a full URL

    - by stef
    I have an app that generates invoices in the form of PDF files stored in a directory on my server. Before mailing out this invoices I'd like to make sure that the URL (not server path) which I store in my DB does indeed point to a valid PDF file. Something could have gone wrong that wrote a value to that field in the db, but for example the filename is missing; meaning the file is not in the specified directory. AFAIK file_exists just checks server paths but not URL's. I could always store the server path too, or assemble it, but I'm wondering if i can do this check based on a full http url ending with a filename? EDIT: yeah CURL occurred to me too but doesn't that seem a bit heavy for such a simple task? Perhaps I should just store the server path too.

  • [PHP] Associate different data

    - by Alex Cane
    I will try to be as clear as possible because I can't get anybody to help me around, I am trying to associate some data from a 'videos' table with their respective ID. Lets say, I have column ID, title, serie, season, episode. I am getting my data : <? $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM videos WHERE serie = '".$row['serie']."' AND season = '".$row['season']."'"); $total_rows = mysql_num_rows($result); ?> (that is in the page where you see the video itself) So now I can get the number of episodes from a serie and season. What I'm trying to do is have a link for the next episode, and aa link for the previous one. In the URL I am working with the id, so http://website.com/view/id/'video id here'/ So how can I get the ID of the following and previous episodes of the same season AND serie? Help will be much appreciated! The easiest thing I thought of is <?=$row['id'] + 1?> <?=$row['id'] - 1?> But the thing is that it's mixed videos, so it wont work 100%

  • Entity-attribute-value model using codeigniter / php

    - by John Stewart
    SO I am trying to create a way to structure my database to be able customize forms. I looked into EAV pattern and here is my db structure: Table form - form_id - form_name - form_added_on - form_modified_at Table: form_fields - field_id - form_id - field_type (TEXT, RADIO etc..) - field_default_value - field_required Table: form_data - data_id - field_id - form_id - field_value so now I can store any custom form into the database and if I want to get the values for an individual form I can simply join it by "form_id" .. the problem: I want to be able to search through all the forms for a specific field value. How can I do that with EAV model? Also, I thought about just storing the custom data as a serialized (JSON) object but then I am not sure how can I query that data. Please note that I am using Codeigniter with MYSQL. So if conversation can use Codeigniter libraries if needed.

  • php , SimpleXML, while loop

    - by Michael
    I'm trying to get some information from ebay api and store it in database . I used simple xml to extract the information but I have a small issue as the information is not displayed for some items . if I make a print to the simple_xml I can see very well that the information is provided by ebay api . I have $items = "220617293997,250645537939,230485306218,110537213815,180519294810"; $number_of_items = count(explode(",", $items)); $xml = $baseClass->getContent("http://open.api.ebay.com/shopping?callname=GetMultipleItems&responseencoding=XML&appid=Morcovar-c74b-47c0-954f-463afb69a4b3&siteid=0&version=525&IncludeSelector=ItemSpecifics&ItemID=$items"); writeDoc($xml, "api.xml"); //echo $xml; $getvalues = simplexml_load_file('api.xml'); // print_r($getvalue); $number = "0"; while($number < 6) { $item_number = $getvalues->Item[$number]->ItemID; $location = $getvalues->Item[$number]->Location; $title = $getvalues->Item[$number]->Title; $price = $getvalues->Item[$number]->ConvertedCurrentPrice; $manufacturer = $getvalues->Item[$number]->ItemSpecifics->NameValueList[3]->Value; $model = $getvalues->Item[$number]->ItemSpecifics->NameValueList[4]->Value; $mileage = $getvalues->Item[$number]->ItemSpecifics->NameValueList[5]->Value; echo "item number = $item_number <br>localtion = $location<br>". "title = $title<br>price = $price<br>manufacturer = $manufacturer". "<br>model = $model<br>mileage = $mileage<br>"; $number++; } the above code returns item number = localtion = title = price = manufacturer = model = mileage = item number = 230485306218 localtion = Coventry, Warwickshire title = 2001 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER VOGUE AUTO GREEN price = 3635.07 manufacturer = Land Rover model = Range Rover mileage = 76000 item number = 220617293997 localtion = Crawley, West Sussex title = 2004 CITROEN C5 HDI LX RED price = 3115.77 manufacturer = Citroen model = C5 mileage = 76000 item number = 180519294810 localtion = London, London title = 2000 VOLKSWAGEN POLO 1.4 SILVER 16V NEED GEAR BOX price = 905.06 manufacturer = Right-hand drive model = mileage = Standard Car item number = localtion = title = price = manufacturer = model = mileage = As you can see the information is not retrieved for a few items ... If I replace the $number manually like " $item_number = $getvalues-Item[4]-ItemID;" works well for any number .

  • Saving generated .wav file to server with PHP

    - by bionicOnion
    I am developing a website where users can compose their own music, and the site will generate a .wav file for their creation. This is working correctly (inasmuch as I can play it on the page). However, I would like to save this file to the server to be listened to/downloaded at a later time, and the saved version of the file can no longer be opened and played by the HTML audio tag. What, if anything, must I put into the file besides the file besides the raw data? Instead of setting the src attribute of the audio tag to the location of the file, will I actually need to open it and generate a URI?

  • [PHP] access array element by value

    - by Brandon
    array( [0] name => 'joe' size => 'large' [1] name => 'bill' size => 'small' ) I think i'm being thick, but to get the attributes of an array element if I know the value of one of the keys, I'm first looping through the elements to find the right one. foreach($array as $item){ if ($item['name'] == 'joe'){ #operations on $item } } I'm aware that this is probably very poor, but I am fairly new and am looking for a way to access this element directly by value. Or do I need the key? Thanks, Brandon
