  • Parsing a blackberry .ipd file

    I recently lost my Blackberry. When I discovered it was gone very shortly afterwards and called it, the sim card had already been removed. I ain't seeing that Blackberry again. Ok. I am out $300, but at least my data is backed up. I had an older working Blackberry fortunately and I got a new sim card and proceeded to restore my data using Blackberry Desktop Manager. 7000+ emails, hundreds of autotext entries, sms messages, calendar events, all backing up. Looking good. Lo and behold! My Address Book contacts refuse to back up? I try advanced, and it is greyed out as an option to restore. Far more frustrating than losing my bberry in the first place is wrangling with software that defies human logic. Ok, now I guess I will have to enter all 327 names by hand. That is, if I can read the .ipd file. I have tried the free version of ABC Amber Blackberry editor, but when I open the .ipd file, the contacts just do not show up. I am beginning to feel like the gods are conspiring against me. Then I found this: http://jabide.com/2009/03/parse-blackberry-ipd-files/ He posted a perl script that claims to extract the files. I copied and pasted the code and it did list all the different databases in my .ipd file, I was elated that a cool solution like this was published. I followed the instructions and garbled data with some discernible ascii was sent to standard output unlike a .csv file like he said it would. This is enough to make a grown man cry. Does anyone out there have a solution to extract my address book contacts from an .ipd file?

  • Reading iTunesMovies file in iPhone?

    Hi there. In iPhone, the iPod app saves the media files (audio, video) with strange names and in weird folders (F00,F01 etc). There is a file named iTunesMovies in iPhone, which contains all the information about the metadata of those video files and how they are to be displayed in iPod app. I copied that to my Mac also, and when i tried to open that file in textEdit, it showed some alien characters which made me believe that it is encrypted may be(Thats just a wild guess). I want to read/change the contents of that iTunesMovies file. Can i do that? Is there any Framework which deals with that iTunesMovies file? Thanks in advance

  • Help with Cygwin bash file

    Hi, I have a bash file, which I’m trying to run in Cygwin on a Windows 7 platform, but I gives me some odd errors when doing so. The bash file works on my Linux system. The bach file looks like this: for ((r=0; r <10; r++)) netcat localhost 4444 < myfile.file & done wait but I’m getting an error for my for-loop. More precise it writes: ./tuning_test.bsh: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token `(' '/tuning_test.bsh: line 1: `?for ((r=0; r <10; r++)) I do not understand it because I was sure that I’ve a working bash file on my Linux. I even tried to find a for-loop example from a Linux-bash site and run it but with same error. I’m brand new to Cygwin and doesn’t know if it has some small quirks or some other thing I have to be aware of and I’ve tried to look through the documentation and FAQ on their homepage.     cfhttp with a get to download the files. Does anyone have an example of cfhttp working? Are there special settings that need to be set up on the server side to get this tag to work.     Hi, I'm trying to upload an iPhone app binary to iTunesConnect and keep getting the following error message "The binary you upload was invalid. the file was not a valid zip file". I had an app upload ok recently but this app is having problems. So after a while I carefully went through the following steps trying to make sure everything was ok. Any help is appreciated. The steps: renamed the project (Project-Rename... enter name into Rename project to:) to release name making sure the name has no spaces. Cleaned project Make sure references in build setting reflect new app name Create new app ID matching project name in iPhone Provisioning Portal Destroyed old developer and distributer provisioning profiles in Provisioning Portal, in XCode and on iPhone. Create new development provisioning profile using new app name. Install development provisioning profile into XCode 8) Build (Release) for iPhone OS 3.1.3 (highest my phone will upgrade to, I'm assuming current released version) Builds, Installs and Runs on actual iPhone: To me this implys App and developer ID's are OK. Create a distributor provisioning profile using existing Distributer ID. Install distributer ID into XCode Clean Checked that "Code Signing Identity" and "Any iPhone OS Device" lines in Build settings are set to Distributor ID Build for release for OS 3.1.3 Check Build results to make sure code is signed with Distributor Profile Reveal .app file and compress (alt click Compress "appName.app") Upload to iTunes connect Gives "The binary you uploaded was invalid. The file was not a valid zip file"

    I'm having trouble when one of the jars that my web app depends on tries to load a properties file from within the jar. Here is the code in the jar. static { Properties props = new Properties(); try { props.load(ClassLoader.getSystemResourceAsStream("someProps.properties")); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } someProperty = props.getProperty("someKey"); } The properties file is in my "src/main/resources" directory of the Maven project. When I run this code from my junit test in Eclipse, it executes just fine. When the project is built with Maven into a jar, and included as a dependency in my webb app, it fails to locate the properties file. I know that the properties file is at the base directory of the depended on jar, I don't know how to fix this. Please help!

    Hi! I cant get a PHP file to send correct headers at my WAMP server. Wouldn't be a problem normally except that is phpMyAdmin that is freaking out right now. Here's the row that the file that merges the css files together in phpmyadmin uses to send the output as CSS. header('Content-Type: text/css; charset=UTF-8'); I have also putted a .htaccess file in the phpmyadmin directory: AddType text/css .css Neither is working. What can I do to make sure that this file is interpreted as a CSS by firefox?

    I have inherited some code (from zip file) from a developer and git initialzed, made changes and set of check-ins progressively. Now, the same developer released the same code with his changes and gave me the another zip file. How do i merge my changes which i have it my git repo and his recent changes from the second zip file contents? Ideally, i would like to have the code which should be accumalation of both my changes and the developer recent changes. I tried to create branch b1 from my master branch and applied second zip file contents on top of that. committed those files in the branch and did 'git checkout master; git merge b1' - but, i do not get my changes, only his changes in my master branch.

    is there a workaround to use the cfdocument tag to save a page/file as an excel sheet instead of a PDF file? I already have a process set up to make pdf files and email them out and would like to give my customers the option of getting an excel file instead. It would be nice if I could reuse the code I already have instead of having to rewrite it in POI or something like that.

  • Using PHP's IMAP library triggers Kaspersky's Antivirus

    Hello, I just started today working with PHP's IMAP library, and while imap_fetchbody or imap_body are called, it is triggering my Kaspersky antivirus. The viruses are Trojan.Win32.Agent.dmyq and Trojan.Win32.FraudPack.aoda. I am running this off a local development machine with XAMPP and Kaspersky AV. Now, I am sure there are viruses there since there is spam in the box (who doesn't need a some viagra or vicodin these days?). And I know that since the raw body includes attachments and different mime-types, bad stuff can be in the body. So my question is: are there any risks using these libraries? I am assuming that the IMAP functions are retrieving the body, caching it to disk/memory and the AV scanning it sees the data. Is that correct? Are there any known security concerns using this library (I couldn't find any)? Does it clean up cached message parts perfectly or might viral files be sitting somewhere? Is there a better way to get plain text out of the body than this?     Hello, There is another similar question to mine on StackOverflow (How to get creation date of a file in Java), but the answer isn't really there as the OP had a different need that could be solved via other mechanisms. I am trying to create a list of the files in a directory that can be sorted by age, hence the need for the file creation date. I haven't located any good way to do this after much trawling of the web. Is there a mechanism for getting file creation dates? Thanks, Todd BTW, currently on a Windows system, may need this to work on a Linux system as well. Also, I can't guarantee that a file naming convention would be followed where the creation date/time is embedded in the name.

    I have a requirement where I have to set environment variables calling a script file eg:set_env.sh. set_env.sh contains all the environment variables. export SCRIPT_DIR=/e/scripts/ ... when I call the set_env.sh from my code the variables are available in that file itself. They are not available in file where I have called the script. What should be done so that environment variables can be retained and can be used in file which calls set_env.sh. Thanks, Sandeep M.

Whats the fix i need to make to read the alphanumeric values? Please suggest.
