  • Odd Series of Packets, How would I reproduce this behavior?

    I recorded a series of http packets that I cant programmatically recreate. The series of packets goes like this: HTTP GET /axis-cgi/admin/param.cgi?action=list&group=Network.eth0.MACAddress,Properties.System.SerialNumber,DVTelTest,SightLogix.ProdShortName HTTP/1.1 HTTP HTTP/1.1 200 OK (text/plain) HTTP GET /axis-cgi/admin/param.cgi?action=list&group=Properties.Image.Resolution HTTP/1.1 HTTP HTTP/1.1 200 OK (text/plain) HTTP GET /axis-cgi/admin/param.cgi?action=update&Network.RTSP.ProtViewer=password HTTP/1.1 HTTP GET /axis-cgi/admin/param.cgi?action=list&group=Event HTTP/1.1 HTTP HTTP/1.1 200 OK (text/plain) HTTP GET /axis-cgi/admin/param.cgi?action=list&group=ImageSource.I0.Sensor HTTP/1.1 HTTP HTTP/1.1 200 OK (text/plain) Notice the two GET followed by one response. I though the two gets were going out at the same time but there is no corresponding number of responses. Also when trying to reproduce this pattern as the server if I abort the first GET request the client waits until it times out and starts the request over with out sending any other requests. What is happening here? How can I reproduce it?

I can find a list of shapes on the page, but this gives me every single shape on the page and every single piece of text. i would like to have a list of just the database tables (their physical names) in the document.

  • What is the right approach when using STL container for median calculation?

    Let's say I need to retrieve the median from a sequence of 1000000 random numeric values. If using anything but STL::list, I have no (built-in) way to sort sequence for median calculation. If using STL::list, I can't randomly access values to retrieve middle (median) of sorted sequence. Is it better to implement sorting myself and go with e.g. STL::vector, or is it better to use STL::list and use STL::list::iterator to for-loop-walk to the median value? The latter seems less overheadish, but also feels more ugly.. Or are there more and better alternatives for me?

  • Best way to access database from android

    I am working on a Android app and I have a dilemma. I have a list of Objects. I have to update each of these objects with a database. I have 2 methods: Method 1: I can loop through the Objects. For each object I can connect to the server, update it, and then move on to the next Object, and so forth. Method 2: I can store the Objects in a list, send the whole list to the server, update it on the server side, then return a list of updated objects. My questions are: Which method is faster? Which method is easier on the phone's battery? By the way, Method 1 is easier for me to code :). Thank you.

    Well, I have a really small problem. How can I access an ASP.NET Drop down list from jquery? I tried to use "CssClass" property of the drop down list to assign a CSS class and then accessing that list using that class, but later I found out that the class changes when an element is selected, so my initial class replaced by a new class. I also cannot use the "ClientID" property because the part of code that access that list is not inside the page, but in a separate javascript file. So how can I access it ?

    Hi, I am trying to send out a custom email, after the Collect Data from user step in my primary workflow which starts when an item in list X is created. I have created a secondary workflow to start when a new Task item is created (this is created by the Collect Data from user action in the primary workflow). But I am having problem how I retrieve the information on the list X. I know the ID of the referenced item in List X is stored in a URL within the "Link" column in the Tasks lists. But can't see any string manipulation function that will grab this ID so I can use it to link back to relevant item in List X. Is there an easier way to do this? Many Thanks, Nav

To take an example given a query for ISBN 9785554443331 - it returns "Chemistry the central science 11 edition" : new:$50 used good condition:$35 used poor condition:$20 If the return does not match with our product list an option to "click here to visit our partner" appears and which returns: Atextbook: $10 Btextbook: $10 Ctextbook: $9 Dtextbook: $8.50 I understand that the first search would be done simultaneous on the web and our database to determine whether or not we have the book and the web to get the average of the price of a given list of web site.     I am trying to create a database of users with connection between users (friends list). There are 2 main tables: UserEntity (main field id) and FriendEntity with fields: - initiatorId - id of user who initiated the friendship - friendId - id of user who has been invited. Now I am trying to fetch all friends of one particular user and encountered some problems with using subqueries in JDO here.     In "Programming F#" I came across a pattern-matching like this one (I simplified a bit): let rec len list = match list with | [] -> 0 | [_] -> 1 | head :: tail -> 1 + len tail;; Practically, I understand that the last match recognizes the head and tail of the list. Conceptually, I don't get why it works. As far as I understand, :: is the cons operator, which appends a value in head position of a list, but it doesn't look to me like it is being used as an operator here. Should I understand this as a "special syntax" for lists, where :: is interpreted as an operator or a "match pattern" depending on context? Or can the same idea be extended for types other than lists, with other operators?

  • ASP.net drop down dynamically styling and then remembering the styles on aborted submit

    So, I've got an ASP drop down list (this is .net 2.0). I'm binding it with data. Basically, when the page loads and it's not a post back we'll fetch record data, bind all the drop downs, and set them to their appropriate values (strictly speaking we: initialize page with basic set of data from DB, bind drop downs from DB, fetch actual record data from DB, set drown downs to appropriate settings at this time). What I want to do is selectively style the list options. So the database returns 3 items: ID, Text, and a flag indicating whether I the record is "active" (and I'll style appropriately). It's easy enough to do and I've done it. My problem is what happens when a form submission is halted. We have slightly extended the Page class and created an AddError() method, which will create a list of errors from failed business rule checks and then display them in a ValidationSummary. It works something like this, in the submit button's click event: CheckBizRules(); if(Page.IsValid) { SaveData(); } If any business rule check fails, the Page will not be valid. The problem is, when the page re-renders (viewsate is enabled, but no data is rebound) my beautiful conditional styling is now sadly gone, off to live in the land of the missing socks. I need to preserve it. I was hoping to avoid another DB call here (e.g. getting the list data back from the DB again if the page isn't valid, just for purposes of re-styling the list). But it's not the end of the world if that's my course of action. I was hoping someone might have an alternative suggestion. I couldn't think of how to phrase this question better, if anyone has any suggestions or needs clarification don't hesitate to get it, by force if need be. ;)

    I'm currently working on a irc bot for a multi-lingual channel, and I'm encountering some issues with unicode which are proving nearly impossible to solve. No matter what configuration of unicode encoding I seem to try, the list function which the below code sits within just flat out does nothing (c.notice is a class function which sends a NOTICE command to the irc server) or when it does do something, spits out something which obviously isn't encoded. The command should be sending ??, but instead it seems hellbent on sending å¤©å­ with a previous configuration of the same commands. The one I have specified below is of the 'send nothing' variety. I haven't worked with unicode before this, and thus I am quite stuck. I'm also positive that I'm doing this completely wrong as a consequence.
