  • Jquery Smart Wizard freezing up

    I'm using IE 8 and the jquery smart wizard version 3.2.0. I've noticed when enclose the smart wizard within an additional <div> tag (with the intent of displaying the wizard within a jquery dialog popup), the wizard will not advance steps when a function is specified for the onLeaveStep event. And I am trying to traverse from input.save at the bottom right the way up to div.node... This all works well with one copy of the markup but if I duplicate it (obvisouly changing the ID of the uppermost div.node and use jQuery.closest('div.node') for the upper of the div.node's it will return the element below it not the element above it (which is the right one). I've tried using parents() but that also has it's caveats.   • Using jQuery to slideToggle a group of Table Rows

    Hi. I'm fairly new to javaScript and jQuery, so hopefully this will be a quick fix. I need to display a table containing data that can be grouped into several categories, and I'd like to implement a slideToggle that hides/reveals all of the observations in each given category. The code below should (ideally) display a table with 4 columns and 9 rows, with every group of 3 rows preceded by a green "Section i" row. I would like each Section header to work as a slideToggle that expands or collapses all of the rows beneath it. Right now, nothing is collapsing.   • Page_BlockSubmit - reset it to False, if there is a scenario when page doesn't postback on validation error

    Recently, I was facing a problem where if there was a validation error, and if I changed the state of checkbox it won't postback on first attempt. But when I uncheck and check again , it postbacks on second attempt...this is some quirky behaviour in .ASP.Net platform. The solution was to reset Page_BlockSubmit flag to false and it works fine. A solution is needed that will run validation on multiple groups and block the postback if needed. Solution Include the following function on the page: function DoValidation() { //validate the primary group var validated = Page_ClientValidate('vgPrimary ');   //if it is valid if (validated) { //valid the main group validated = Page_ClientValidate('vgMain'); }   //remove the flag to block the submit if it was raised Page_BlockSubmit = false;   //return the results return validated; } Call the above function from the submit button’s OnClientClick event. <asp:Button runat="server" ID="btnSubmit" CausesValidation="true" ValidationGroup="vgMain" Text="Next" OnClick="btnSubmit_Click" OnClientClick="return DoValidation();" /> What is Page_BlockSubmit When the user clicks on a button causing a full post back, after running Page_ClientValidate ASP.NET runs another built in function ValidatorCommonOnSubmit. Within Page_ClientValidate, Page_BlockSubmit is set based on the validation. The postback is then blocked in ValidatorCommonOnSubmit if Page_BlockSubmit is true. No matter what, at the end of the function Page_BlockSubmit is always reset back to false. If a page does a partial postback without running any validation and Page_BlockSubmit has not been reset to false, the partial postback will be blocked. In essence the above function, RunValidation, acts similar to ValidatorCommonOnSubmit. It runs the validation and then returns false to block the postback if needed. Since the built in postback is never run, we need to reset Page_BlockSubmit manually before returning the validation result.

But when I use an Ajax form, and I update the fields of the ajax form. After the client validation dosen't work. Exactly: the ajax postback is not fired, but the validation message is not shown. I think about, I have to refresh the validation after the ajax call but I dont know how I should do it. Anybody can help me?

  • Generating new sources via Maven plugin after compile phase

    I have a Maven project within which I need execute two code generation steps. One generates some Java types, then the second depends on those Java types to generate some more code. Is there a way to have both of these steps happening during my build? At the moment my steps are: execute first code generation plugin (during generate-sources) add directory of generated types to build path execute second code generation plugin (during compile) However my problem is that anything generated by the second code generation plugin will not be compiled (because the compile phase has finished). If I attach the second code generation plugin to an earlier phase, it fails because it needs the classes from the first code generation plugin to be present on the classpath. I know I could split this into two modules with one dependent on the other, but I was wondering if this could be achieved in one pom. It seems like a need a way to invoke compile again after the normal compile phase is complete. Any ideas?

    Hi, I have gotten the latest QWT 5.1.2 for QT 4.5 and managed to get it to complie. I am now trying to get the plugin to work in QT Designer (with VS intergration). I have placed the plugin files into the plugin/designer folder, but when attempting to load, I hit this error Cannot load library qwt_desginer_plugin5.dll: The specified module cannot be found. I've done some search on this issue, one page which suggest moving the plugin to the VS intergration folder - which does not exist for Program Files\Nokia\Vs4Addin. My QT Designer is a debug-and-relase build. (That is, if I use a debug build of the plugin it would complain that it is expecting a release).

  • Can't seem to get Prototype AJAX form validation to work in conjunction with Codeigniter

    Is there some kind of trick involved? Here's how I would envision it working: 1) User tries submitting the form 2) Event.observe captures this and sends an AJAX request to a special validation URL (PHP using Codeigniter) 3) If no errors were returned, continue submitting the original form 4) If errors were found, cancel form submission and display Mostly, I can't seem to get a separate AJAX validation request to work as the form continues submitting. I could use Event.stop(event), but have not found a way to re-start the process if no validation errors exist from the validation call. I'd post code, but I have about 15 examples of things I've tried and it would just clutter this question. Any ideas? :-( I didn't think form validation would be this difficult. Many thanks, - Matt

    Introduction Oracle Workflow Notification System can be extended to perform extra validation or processing via PLSQL procedures when the notification is being responded to. These PLSQL procedures are called post-notification functions since they are executed after a notification action such as Approve, Reject, Reassign or Request Information is performed. The standard signature for the post-notification function is     procedure <procedure_name> (itemtype  in varchar2,                                itemkey   in varchar2,                                actid     in varchar2,                                funcmode  in varchar2,                                resultout in out nocopy varchar2); Modes The post-notification function provides the parameter 'funcmode' which will have the following values: 'RESPOND', 'VALIDATE, and 'RUN' for a notification is responded to (Approve, Reject, etc) 'FORWARD' for a notification being forwarded to another user 'TRANSFER' for a notification being transferred to another user 'QUESTION' for a request of more information from one user to another 'QUESTION' for a response to a request of more information 'TIMEOUT' for a timed-out notification 'CANCEL' when the notification is being re-executed in a loop. Context Variables Oracle Workflow provides different context information that corresponds to the current notification being acted upon to the post-notification function. WF_ENGINE.context_nid - The notification ID  WF_ENGINE.context_new_role - The new role to which the action on the notification is directed WF_ENGINE.context_user_comment - Comments appended to the notification   WF_ENGINE.context_user - The user who is responsible for taking the action that updated the notification's state WF_ENGINE.context_recipient_role - The role currently designated as the recipient of the notification. This value may be the same as the value of WF_ENGINE.context_user variable, or it may be a group role of which the context user is a member. WF_ENGINE.context_original_recipient - The role that has ownership of and responsibility for the notification. This value may differ from the value of the WF_ENGINE.context_recipient_role variable if the notification has previously been reassigned.  Example Let us assume there is an EBS transaction that can only be approved by a certain people thus any attempt to transfer or delegate such notification should be allowed only to users SPIERSON or CBAKER.     I'm trying to call a WCF web service hosted by IIS using jQuery. I can call it fine without any parameters, and I can also call it fine with a GET request that includes my parameter, but as soon as I try to send in the request via POST, the call is failing. The web service is currently nothing but: [OperationContract, WebInvoke] public ValidationResultSummary TestValidateOn( object day) { return null; } I've set the parameter to object, to make sure the issue isn't something with type coercion. With a breakpoint in the web service, I know the call without parameters as well as the GET call with param succeeds; in the latter the expected value is sent up.     Greetings! Goal: transparant ui dialog box in IE7/8 with fade in/out effect upon open/close. Opacity was set in css and works just fine (safari, chrome, ff ie7/8) using native effects blind / explode etc. But when using efects.fade.js on the dialog box the opacity does not work on ie7/8 We want fade in/out because that looks awesome.     Hi I'm having problems using the sortable function of jQ:uery UI. The scroll doesn't seem to work.. If the second list ( lists are created on the table rows in a tbody and each tbody is connect ) isn't visible I want it to be possible to scroll towards it for dropping my table row.   • IE Display Bug, jQuery bug

    So I built some complex ajaxy jquery module on my homepage, with the help of "scrollable" from flowplayer.org. It works fine for me on Chrome, Opera, Firefox ... but of course IE is not playing friendly (regardless of the version, from my testing). Objects are not displaying exactly where they should, some are overlaying each other, and when a click a button some divs just disappear. However, if I resize the IE browser window up and down, the display mostly fixes itself. Then if I click on one of the buttons I made, it messes it up again. Until I resize the window again and it looks fine. (note the forceshowIE=1, because by default I hide it for IE people) I was thinking maybe there is a way to force IE to redraw the entire module sometimes? Firstly, does this seem like a feasible goal? jQuery makes it easy to use a selector to access a particular element, but I'm not sure if the reverse holds true. If an element lacks an id attribute, I also don't know how you'd return an "optimized" selector - i.e., one that identifies an element uniquely. Maybe crawl up the DOM until you find an ID, then stem the selector from there? Secondly, from a high-level perspective, any ideas on how to go about this? Any tips or tricks that could speed development? I very much appreciate any help. Thanks!

  • jquery WebService responseXML / responseText

    I get an empty response back from this local WebService call via jquery / ajax. I have verified the URL and XML input string by invoking the call in a browser. I DO get XML code back as expected. What am I missing? Could it have something to do with the return type "XmlDocument"? I have tried changing out text/xml to text. No affect. Tried a GET instead of POST.
