  • How to check if string is a valid XML element name?

    - by xsaero00
I need a regex or a function in PHP that will validate a string to be a good XML element name. Form w3schools: XML elements must follow these naming rules: Names can contain letters, numbers, and other characters Names cannot start with a number or punctuation character Names cannot start with the letters xml (or XML, or Xml, etc) Names cannot contain spaces I can write a basic regex that will check for rules 1,2 and 4, but it won't account for all punctuation allowed and won't account for 3rd rule \w[\w0-9-]

  • Failure to create keytab file using msktutil on Centos to W2K8

    - by user49321
I'm trying to setup a centos 5.5 squid server to authenticate against a windows 2008 DC. I have followed the tutorial: http://serverfault.com/questions/66556/getting-squid-to-authenticate-with-kerberos-and-windows-2008-2003-7-xp However I have run into an issue. When I run the command: (Obviously changed for my enviroment) # msktutil -c -b "CN=COMPUTERS" -s HTTP/centos.dom.local -h centos.dom.local -k /etc/HTTP.keytab --computer-name centos-http --upn HTTP/centos.dom.local --server server.dom.local --verbose --enctypes 28 I get the following error (The whole message is too long to post here): Error: Unable to set machine password for centos: (3) Authentication error Error: set_password failed kinit works fine and the computer is added to the DC under COMPUTERS and SRV records created except no keytab is created.

  • How to implement Template Inheritance (like Django?) in PHP5

    - by anonymous coward
Is there an existing good example, or how should one approach creating a basic Template system (thinking MVC) that supports "Template Inheritance" in PHP5? For an example of what I define as Template Inheritance, refer to the Django (a Python framework for web development) Templates documentation: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/topics/templates/#id1 I especially like the idea of PHP itself being the "template language", though it's not necessarily a requirement. If listing existing solutions that implement "Template Inheritance", please try to form answers as individual systems, for the benefit of 'popular vote'.

  • Looking for fastest and least-programming-required path to implement a web site with user submitted

    - by Howiecamp
I'm looking to throw up a web site that supports user submitted entries and allows voting and comments. Similar in form and function to FMyLife. Basic requirements of site: Users can submit text entries - generally 1 liners Enters can be up or down voted Comments allowed - presentation collapseable Would like the fastest path possible. Ideal solution is configurable vs requirement for programming.

  • Why is DAVExplorer not connecting?

    - by C.W.Holeman II
DAVExplorer is not connecting. Connecting to a WebDAV Server states: Once you have entered a location URL, and (if necessary) your login name and password, DAV Explorer will connect to the remote WebDAV server, and request a listing of the resources there. A hierarchical view of the sub-collections will be displayed Invoke Apache Jackrabbit $ java -jar jackrabbit-standalone-2.0.0.jar --port 8200 Welcome to Apache Jackrabbit! ------------------------------- Using repository directory jackrabbit Writing log messages to jackrabbit/log Starting the server... Apache Jackrabbit is now running at http://localhost:8200/ Use DAVExplorer $ java -jar DAVExplorer.jar Then connect to localhost:8200/repository/default/ which pops up: Login ===== Login name: [admin] Password: [admin] <OK> The pop up closes then nothing changes. Using cadaver confirms Jackrabbit is working: $ cadaver http://localhost:8200/repository/default/ Authentication required for Jackrabbit Webdav Server on server `localhost': Username: admin Password: dav:/repository/default/> ls Listing collection `/repository/default/': succeeded. • Password expiration notice for Active Directory

    - by keithosu
Are there any tools/apps/scripts out there that will do password expiry notification for Windows 2008 Active Directory credentials? This is needed for our web apps that use Active Directory for LDAP authentication. The problem is those apps do not notify you that your password is going to expire when you login. We have many offsite users who do not have machines bound to the AD. So there is no way to let them know to reset their password. I'd like the user to be notified 30,7 and 1 day before it expires. I'd also like our help desk to get an email for the expiring passwords for the week and recently expired passwords. I've looked at oldcmp.exe from link text and that gets me my reports but it does not do the automation that I'm looking for on the individual users.

  • Import LDIF file to external server

    - by colemanm
As a follow-up to my previous question, which I've resolved part of, what we're trying to do now is take an exported .ldif file of the "Users" container on our OS X Server and import it into a separate OpenLDAP server on an EC2 instance. This we'll use for LDAP user authentication of other apps without having to open our internal network to LDAP traffic. The exported .ldif file thinks the DN of the "Users" container is cn=users,dc=server,dc=domain,dc=com. Is it easiest to configure the EC2 OpenLDAP server to think that it's domain is the same so the container is imported to the proper place? Or should we edit the text of the .ldif file to change the DN to match the external naming? Hopefully that makes sense... but I'm confused as to the best way to accomplish this.

  • How do you set the twitter user location in JTwitter?

    - by Gregg Reno
I'm building some basic Twitter functionality into my app, and am using the JTwitter JAR to read and set status. It looks like there is a User class that can be used to set the location, but I just can't figure out how to set it with my GPS coordinates once I've got my Twitter object. Has anyone been able to set the user.location property using JTwitter? Thanks, -Gregg

  • lift `??` construct and maven example

    - by coubeatczech
Hi, I have browsed lift's MegaProtoUser and encountered this construction: ??("Last Name"). Can anyone explain, what that means? Also, I didn't find a way how to add a custom field into MegaProtoUser. The maven's lift's basic archetype defines another field, but it never shows anywhere. (Version 1.0) Thanks for answering

  • Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman

    Does the Elliptic curve diffie hellman calculation look any different from the standard one defined here: /* * The basic Diffie-Hellman Key Agreement Equation * * The client initiates * A = g^a mod p * * Sends (g p A) to the server * * The server calculates B * B = g^b mod p * * Sends B back to client * * The client calculates K * K = B^a mod p * * The server calucaltes K * K = A^b mod p * */ Or is it just a specific way of selecting g, a, p and b? How are g,a,p and b selected anyway?

  • Accessing SQL Server in Windows XP Mode Virtual Pc

    - by DavidStein
I have a laptop running 64bit Windows 7 Ultimate. I created a Virtual PC using Microsoft XP Mode. I've installed SQL Server 2000 on the Virtual Machine. I have SQL Server 2008 R2 installed on the Windows 7 machine (laptop). I can browse to the SQL 2000 instance (it sees it), but I cannot successfully connect using either Windows or SQL Server Authentication. I don't get an error, the attempt just times out. I have the Windows XP Mode Firewall turned off, and there doesn't appear to be anything in the Event logs either. Any ideas how I can query the XP Mode SQL Server from the Windows 7 machine?

  • Good Administration Center Templates

    - by Alec Smart
Hello, This may not be a programming question per se. But I am wondering what template do you use for your sites/webapps admin centers. Am looking primarily at free templates that give a basic structure. I know I can build my own, but I haven't had too much success in something that works for all my webapps/sites. Wondering if there is something nice and comprehensive available. Thank you for your time.

  • OpenVPN stopped working, what could have happened?

    - by jaja
I have Openvpn, and it worked great when I used it on PC (Windows 8), then I copied all files (Certificates and config) to an Android 4 phone to use them. Now, Openvpn works on the phone, but not the PC. Specifically, when I open Google I get: The server at www.google.com can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed, but the VPN seems to be connected. I have a simple question, could the problem be because I copied the same files? • Skip "Sign in to your Microsoft account" (Windows 8.1 Setup)

    - by noloader
I have an RT tablet and updated it to Windows 8.1. The update basically performs the new PC setup. I can't get past the "Sign into your Microsoft Account". Clicking "Next" does not allow me to proceed (and prompts me for an email address). Clicking "Don't have an account" does nothing because its not linked. The other two options are "Create an account" a "Privacy statement". I don't want to create an account, and I'm not interested in their perverted terms of service for an account. In Windows 8.0, we were given the option to use local authentication. How do I bypass this feature?

The API I'm looking for should be clear and easy to learn (preferably with some examples), it should cover the basic transformations I made above - rotate, change size, eventually crop.

Options:- Load an image of the line, can create 4 UIImageViews with it. Create my own subclass of a UIView that draws a line in the draw rect method. Draw elsewhere on another view, another UIImageView that has an UIImage inside it (is this possible?) Another way? Thanks Ross

  • Schedule of Password Expiration to a specific time

    - by elcool
Is there a way in Windows Server 2003 or 2008 and in Active Directory, to specify in a policy that when a users password expires that day, to have it expire at a certain time, say 4:00am. The issue came up, because the expiration occurs during the middle of the working day, say 9:00am. Then when a user is already logged into Windows in the network, and using different applications, those will start behaving wrongly because of authentication. They have to log out and log back in, in order for Windows to ask for the new password. So, if when they log in early in the morning it would ask for the new password, then they won't have to log back out during the working day. One of the AD Admins said: "Have them check if their password will expire before starting the day".. but really, who does that? And I don't have access to an AD to check these types of policies. So, is this possible?
